The Friendly Place- Downtown Prescott

Just a hop, skip, and a jump from downtown you’ll love the location and convenience of the Friendly place!

Being just 1 block away to the beginning of downtown, you’ll be an easy 5 minute walk to the start of many restaurants, attractions, and events.
We also welcome pets!!

The Friendly Place is about 650 sqft and has been recently remodeled. It includes:
•A living room equipped with a smart TV. (The couch is a comfortable pullout bed)
•A full kitchen stocked with all the essentials.
•A dinning area
•A full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
•A complimentary washer and dryer
•1 bedroom with an extremely comfortable king sized bed. This room also has another smart TV.

There is “unregulated” 2-hour parking in the front, however you will have your own private parking in the rear of the building.

This home is apart of a larger building, which is a Farmers Insurance Office. The front part of the building is the
Friendly Place, with its own private front entrance. The back half of the building is the Insurance office, with their own separate and private entrance. There is a door in the kitchen that doesn’t have a door handle on either side, and is always locked. This door connects to the office, but it will NEVER be opened or unlocked.
From time to time, you may be able to hear a small amount of noise during the offices operating hours. Because of this, this place might not be the best place for you if you have a nervous or protective dog.

This property is close to town. Walkable to all restaurants, bars and live music. The property has cold AC and is VERY clean. Nice front porch with chairs to enjoy. Plenty of parking as well. Perfect for one or two couples. I highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay near down town Prescott. Easily accommodated 3 people with the pull out couch in the living room.

Great location, close to Yavapai College and Whiskey Row, which is where we spent most of our time. House was exactly as expected, nice and clean, and we were very pleased with nearby amenities. Travelled with my elderly parents, and the house was a great fir for them as well!

Comfortable and Homey

This was perfect for what I needed. The location was convenient to downtown and it was just me and my granddaughter. We had a lovely visit. Josiah was very communicative and friendly and kind.

The area was not great, 2 homeless men yelling and chanting (yeah chanting.. i have volunteered with homeless people and im not christian but it still was scary af) all night at the smoke shop on the corner which made me too afriad to take my dog out to go potty so thankfully my husband was there, there was a huge rip in the bottom sheet, the code to the front door stopped working so when i called "the host" they told me they no longer own the property and gave me the number to the new person... didnt feel super safe with that. The "rules of the house" in the book did not match up to the house or what i was told in the app. The checkout times were different and instead of 11 had to be out by 10. The parking was odd and thankfully we parked in the 2 hour parking because "our spot" in the back was taken. Side note, but not that big of deal, the beds were terribly hard so if youve got a bad back find somewhere else.

Sadly- I never had the opportunity to stay at this property. My husband & I own/operate a small dairy farm and delivery our milk to stores in the Prescott area. I decided very last-minute to surprise my husband with an overnight and found this on home. I was able to book only 2 days before our arrival day, as it was off-season. Unfortunately, the day before our trip, the pump to our well broke which meant our cow’s source of water was unavailable. We sadly had to cancel our trip so that we could haul water to our animals. I reached out to the Josiah 25 hours prior to check-in to let him know directly and explained the seriousness of the situation. He asked me to cancel through VRBO, but at that point it was 23 hours prior to check-in. When I explained I wasn’t able to cancel through the system, his reply was that “ I can’t cancel for you”. I spent hours on the phone with VRBO but was not refunded my money. Finally, I asked Josiah if he would allow us to stay a night the next time we delivered to his area in lieu of reimbursement. He never replied. I have also learned that he absolutely is able to cancel on his end. Josiah is clearly not a person of integrity or human kindness. Very disappointing.

When we were informed about this guests situation and the need to cancel, we were immediately willing to go against our cancellation policy, allowing her to cancel and receive a full refund (my wife’s favorite animal are cows and has always dreamed of having a dairy farm). We aren’t sure why the guest didn’t cancel initially, but by the time we responded a little over an hour later, it was past the 24 hour period. We use a management software, and were unable to cancel on her behalf without major consequences. Yes, we could have given her money back, but doing so wouldn’t cancel her stay, which is what was needed to make the reserved dates available again. We were very honest about that, and stayed in communication with her the entire time on how to cancel. On the day of her scheduled arrival, she sent us a message informing us that she called VRBO and her reservation was canceled. We responded a few hours later informing her the reservation was not canceled. We also told her we called VRBO and they had no record of her canceling (definitely could be a mistake on VRBO’s end) We did not hear back from her until after her reserved stay was over. This is when she asked for a credit. And insisted “the home wasn’t going to get booked anyways”… which is not true. We would have absolutely given her a credit if the dates could have been opened and it was impossible to give her any money back, but sadly her reservation stayed active the entire time. If we were greedy with her money, we would have told her initially she wasn’t getting a full refund. Instead we stayed in communication and tried our very best to get her canceled before check-in time so she could get a full refund.
