Walk to Beach, Eateries & Pickle Ball/ Tennis Court. Designated parking spot.

Avoid parking fees at the beach and have your own designated spot outside this quite and quaint apartment. It is a the ground floor of our home with a private entrance and keyless entry. Just a five minute walk to the beach and around the corner from pickle ball and tennis courts as well as splash pad. On Monday monings there is farmers market on the soccer field around the corner as well as Friday night free concerts when in season May thru September. Eateries within walking distance. Southport is a short distance away for extra things to do on a rainy day. We have spas in the neighborhood too for some extra pampering. Surf Fishing and crabbing just a short walk away. We also can accomadate a boat. Kayaking tours are also available and they are lots of fun. A ghost walk in Southport when the weather cools a bit is always a scarey treat. If you are a shopper we have lots to do in that area too,

This property was exactly as advertised. Communication with the owner was great. I was greeted by the owner’s mother who was an absolute joy. She was so inviting. I felt as if I was visiting family. Traveling alone I appreciated that and how safe I felt there. Linens, toiletries, coffee and snacks were provided. Everything was so clean and comfortable. It was just a short walk to the beach. I would definitely go back again.

Very quiet in the evenings. Only a short 2-block walk to the beach. And…there were snacks! I have stayed several times in VRBO and owners have never left snacks before! Owners also answered questions quickly.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. Best VRBO host I have encountered. Clearly takes great pride in serving the customer as the room was so well appointed, reflecting her attention to detail, and her communication with us left no details to chance.

Property hosts were great, very communicative and provided a full walk through when we arrived. The location was excellent, it was easy to walk to the beach, playground and area restaurants. House was clean and matched the description and photos provided. Highly recommend!

Perfect cozy island getaway

Truly an amazing cozy cottage getaway, we were greeted upon arrival by our lovely host, the cottage was better than advertised, and adorned with lovely little touches everywhere, down to snacks and a welcome gift, we will definitely plan on coming back

Great location and property

The communication was detailed and quick from the start. It is a lovely apartment and in walking distance from the beach. Everything was clean and cozy. We will absolutely book again if our travels lead us to Oak Island!

Amazing peaceful get away

We could have showed up with clothes bathing suits and towels, nothing else needed! Southern hospitality at its peak! 5 min walk in every direction and your at the beach, park, pepperoni grill for pizza ,kai joes for tacos. Beach cottage for the win!

Relaxing

Love this place perfect get away for me and my Daughter so close to Fort Caswell she will be working there all summer. Hope to get weekends with her and this was so nice. Perfect location so close to beach .

Everything and more

It’s everything that my wife and I were looking for. Hosts had all that we needed and then some. Also the hosts were great people that we met and got to talk to. The location is perfect. Short walk to the beach. A park that had an event that had food, sold vegetables and plants plus live music. Looking forward to returning next year.

Sooo Good

We were so pleased with Judy and Mike’s home. We have stayed in many VRBO rentals over the years. This was top notch in every way. They thought of everything. We loved the privacy even though it’s a neighborhood just a block or so off the beach. Comfortable bed and nice private back yard to sit and listen to nature. Judy was a great host! We hope to stay again.

Great Place and Location

This was my second time staying here, and you can't beat the location. Convenient to the beach, restaurants, and the grocery store. I walked or rode my bike everywhere during the visit. The suite is perfect for couples and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Hospitality, privacy, close enough to walk to the beach and affordable. Lovely host. Decorated beautifully & with so many extra nice & unexpected touches. Couldn’t be happier & can’t wait to visit again!

We are an old couple with four children and three grandchildren. We met in NJ on a blind date when we were teens and have been together since. Grandma Barb is usually there to greet you. She is 86 years young and she prepares for you like you are family.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

The main reason we chose this neighborhood over 20 years ago is the proximity to the beach. It is also a quiet neighborhood with many full time residents.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

It is just a cozy home. The kitchen rental has stone walls . The fireplace with a small gas stove is in front of the queen bed. There is an outdoor porch to enjoy. No so much super unique but lots of memories with our children enjoying summers there has always made it special. We have had a number of proposals and engagements there. We love to hear about special memories our guests are making too.
The most unique asset is our 86 year old Mom who loves meeting people and making them feel at home along with us.
