Located within 10-20 minutes from Monteverde's most prominent attractions, our retreat allows you to explore the rich flora and fauna, culminating each day of adventure with a truly unique experience.

Second Bedroom: Relax in the second bedroom, furnished with a cozy full bed, ceiling fan, Smart TV with all the apps you love, but sign-in required, and access to a shared bathroom.

Third Bedroom: The third bedroom offers another snug full bed and shares a bathroom with the second bedroom.

High speed Internet: This residence is fully equipped with symmetric high-speed WiFi 50/50 mbps for your convenience.

Relaxing Common Areas
Unwind in our welcoming living room, a perfect space for relaxation and togetherness. The recreational area is equipped for engaging board games and leisurely pursuits, ensuring fun for all ages.

Other things to note
Kindly be aware that, despite the presence of screens on each window, our property is in the middle of the forest and bugs can find their way inside the house.

We want to share some details about the weather in Monteverde from December to March. During these months, you might experience strong winds, and on occasion, some nighttime howling noises. This will not defer from your ability to enjoy but something to take into consideration.

The fireplace underneath the television in the family room is a portrait and does not produce heat.

A beautiful home with the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. Check-in was a breeze. All the instructions on how to use everything were clear and detailed. the Kitchen had everything you would need.

The sunsets were truly wonderful. We also enjoyed bananas every morning thanks to the abundant trees on the property. Beautiful spot and very relaxing.

Absolutely Amazing!!! The best VRBO and welcoming host. The home and property were immaculately clean and gorgeous. The home is spacious and very private with a spectacular view, very comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities. Our stay here was the highlight of our trip and we would love to visit again. My recommendation would be to plan time to enjoy the beauty of this property, there was so much to do in town nearby (that we did and visited) but my family could have easily spent more time at the house enjoying it’s beautiful views and ambiance.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the sunset home! The sunsets were amazing and so was the wild life! It felt like home! And there was decor for my birthday which was such a sweet surprise!!

Beautiful family get-away

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunset House! Close to such beauty and fun activities. We headed out for adventure each morning and would retreat "home" each night to watch the sunset (or magical mist!) and have some downtime as a family. It was the perfect balance. The house is so comfortable, and the view / location can't be beat! Ingrid was a wonderful host - I had a few questions and she got back to me promptly and was incredibly patient and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this property to others visiting the area!

Stay

Words cannot describe how absolutely beautiful the property and surrounding area is. The location gives you a wonderful view to take it all in. The house itself was immaculately clean, modern, and everything you could want. Even bath robes, wine and chocolate. The host was very responsive and accommodating with additional questions and information prior to stay. If you come during rainy season I could see how it may be a little challenging with the road. If you have 4 wheel drive you should have no problems. Definitely recommend this place and I would stay again.

Séjour fantastique en famille à MonteVerde

Super séjour en famille dans ce havre de paix. Propriété de luxe avec vue imprenable et magnifiques couchers de soleil. Là seule difficulté rencontrée est le petit bout de chemin final pour se rendre à la propriété qui est un peu plus difficile mais à part de cela ça mérite un 5 étoiles

Amazing stay and views!!

Our stay at Sunset Paradise House was wonderful! The house was comfortable, beautiful and clean, just like in the pictures. Monteverde is not too far away and has a variety of stores and restaurants. Ingrid was very responsive and nice!

A beacon of light

Upon arriving at Sunset Paradise Hotel the three of us were greeted with wine, chocolate and robes for the jacuzzi. The house was modern with new appliances and very clean. The bedrooms were comfortable. The view from the second floor is stunning and we especially enjoyed the rainbow in the morning. Overall would highly recommend.

Fantastic!

We drove from La fortuna and wanted to break up the trip so we stopped at Mistico hanging bridges (close to La fortuna) to hike and it was gorgeous, then stopped again at cafe & macadamia for lunch (amazing views of lake arenal, decent food). Arrived just at sunset and as promised it was paradise! The house was perfect and stayed cool, it rained on and off, the views were out of this world so we planned everything in order to be home by 4:30 everyday to watch the sunset and enjoy the jacuzzi. Really nice, clean bathrooms, comfy couch, enough flat yard to throw a football. We zip lined at selvatura with our boys (10&12yo) and we all had a great adrenaline filled day. Our favorite place to eat was the jungle monteverde (Indian, Thai, Japanese) about a 15 -20 min drive. There are some bumpy gravel mtn roads so be prepared. It was awesome overall and I highly recommend this house if you’re going to be in the area.

Can't stay long enough.

Incredible views, couldn't have stayed long enough. We woke up before the sun and enjoyed the morning in the Jacuzzi with fresh coffee. The only thing I would recommend is buying groceries before making the drive, so you don't have to leave.

Amazing home/Beautiful Viewd

The home was amazing with absolutely stunning views enhanced by the upstairs with floor to ceiling windows throughout. The only tough thing, and it wasn't the host's fault, were the really rough roads the last two miles or so. An SUV makes it but I'm not so sure about a sedan. Again though, it was a wonderful stay overall.

Great Monteverde stay

House was clean and just as described. We utilized all three bedrooms and it worked out great for our family of four. The “town” is only about a 12 minute drive away. Feels great inside the house when all the windows are open and the breeze is blowing. Awesome views!

Sunset Heaven

Found the Sunset Paradise House a wonderful place to stay. Convenient to the hikes we wanted to do in Santa Elena and Monteverde. The house is an architectural wonder. Fabulous design and heavenly views. Some days we didn't want to leave preferring to view the spectacular landscape. Modern hot tub for two, was a great way to end a day of busy hiking.

Fantastic, Peaceful place

We and another couple enjoyed the place immensely and enjoyed the peacefulness. The Place was as describe and yet it exceeded our expectations. We had several meals at the place and the kitchen had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the balcony and the spectacular view, Enjoying the jetted hot tub and talking with the birds. It was relaxing during meal prep, games, and talking with a view that you could really appreciate. The place was convenient to the places we wanted to visit in Monteverde and give us seclusion from the town. The driveway was a bit Trickey, tight turns but no problems. The roads were typical for that area with the last 300 meters quite rough and a little steep, we had no problems just drove slowly. It was really windy one night and one night was very peaceful with no wind. Enjoyed both nights there. No problems with communications. Would go there again and will recommend to friends.

Sunset Rainbow House

This house was everything we expected and more. The sunsets were spectacular from the jacuzzi and through the panoramic windows, with views of 3 volcanos and the Gulf of Nicoya. The occassional double rainbows were a treat, it could be called Sunset Rainbow House with no exageration. Ingid Ingid sent very detailed instructions, info regarding house and things to do prior to our arrival. Directions to the house and entry were clear. The interior was spotless throughout, kitchen well appointed with all the amenities, 2 bedrooms and family room with new smart Tvs. In fact everything appeared to be new, from kitchen appliances to furniture. The maid spent the day tidying up halfway through our week-long stay. If you want to avoid the tourist bustle in St. Elena but still want to partake of what it has to offer, like the many restaurants, they are just a short drive away, as are all the other attractions in the area. Peace and quiet, with lots of action if you want it. We are a senior couple and felt very secure in the house and surrounding area. Thanks especially to Ingrid for being such a helpful and gracious host. Highly recommended.
