The property was perfect! Very clean and cozy. The Lorraine and her husband were very nice and welcoming! I’d definitely stay again and recommend this place if you want to get away and relax and have quiet down time!

The house delivered everything it promised and looked just as good as the photos. So quiet and peaceful and charming. Very relaxing!

We loved this stay! The house was very clean and everything worked very well. Older houses sometimes have little nuances that have trouble accommodating today’s needs. We stayed cool when it was hotter at the beginning of the stay and stayed toasty when the temperatures dropped. We loved the peacefulness and had no trouble relaxing. Shower provided plenty of hot water. We were all able to use the wifi easily and were not impeded by any bottlenecks.We loved the laundry. It definitely helped us to not have to pack as many clothes.The host was very prompt and courteous with her replies and took care of any questions we had. Lorraine is a great host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Country Splendor. Ron and Lorraine have lovingly and impressively restored this Nineteenth Century Brick farmhouse. The surroundings are picture perfect. They promptly answered all our questions and made us feel very welcome. If you’re looking for lodging in the area we highly recommend staying here.
Ron thoughtfully shoveled the walk before we woke to find a beautiful dusting of snow had fallen in the night

We had another lovely stay at Country Splendour. There was more than enough space for our family and we even got to host our extended family for a big breakfast. Ron and Lorraine are kind and came by to say hello.

Beautiful property with exceptional hosts

Our family stayed here and LOVED it. The house was comfortable and clean, the property was beautiful (and so much fun for kids to play outside), and the hosts went above and beyond in their communication and care during our stay. We hope we get to stay again! I would recommend the house, property, and hosts to anyone traveling in this area!

This is our third stay at this beautiful property! It has everything you need including gorgeous views out every window. We take our toddler son, and they have lots of games/toys/plastic dinnerware for him, which is very handy. We'll definitely be back again!

Amazing place and wonderful hosts

We stayed with our 3 year old at the farmhouse and it was absolute perfection. Everything from the personal touches to the fully stocked kitchen, the house was a great place to stay with family. There is beautiful scenery and lots of places to visit and eat at with a little bit of a drive. Don't forget to do some stargazing!

very quiet peaceful getaway

This charming home is located on a quiet country road, surrounded by fields and rolling hills. Quiet and relaxing, yet close to area attractions. Well-equipped kitchen made dinners simple, beds comfortable (love the 2 kings!), plenty of room for sitting around chatting! Highly recommend!

Awesome Place

The place was amazing. It was easy to find things around the property. It was very quiet, just a few cars here and there. The place was spacious there was enough room for everyone to spread out and not be on top of each other. The host were great, they were easy to talk toand easy to get ahold of

This is a gem. I believe this is one of seven vacation rentals we've stayed at in the area and is among my favorites. It's a tranquil and beautiful property. The hosts do an excellent job of anticipating our needs. The house was well equipped for our toddlers as well, with toys, bedding and a baby gate. Will likely be staying here again very soon.

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing

My adult children are I stayed in the property for 2 nights as we were in for a cousins wedding. The home was beautiful. The location was fairly remote but we loved its location! Quiet, comfortable, had all the modern amenities. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, air conditioning! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Recommended highly to my cousin in Kempton

Perfect getaway

My friends and I loved the house and the quiet beautiful countryside. Ron and Lorraine were great hosts; communication was comprehesive, easy, and filled lots of extra and useful information. The extra touches- fresh eggs in the fridge and chocolates in the rooms- were thoughtful and much appreciated. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent

Stayed for one night with two families (4 adults, two toddlers) on a trip to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. We loved our brief stay here. The farmhouse is spacious, beautifully restored and exceptionally clean. The area is extremely quiet and serene (only one car passed the house during our stay) but we were close to Hawk Mountain, several good restaurants, a great playground, and Cabelas. Lorainne is the easily the best host we've encountered in various rentals over the years. We were amazed at the forethought she put into preparing this house for guests. We had everything we expected and many things we did not (fresh eggs for breakfast, a 'ready to light' firepit, toys for the kids, etc.) We will definitely return for our annual trip to Hawk Mountain next year.

Spectacular!

If you’re looking for a beautiful quiet country setting; this is it! This home is so well equipped for any length of stay. Charming is an understatement & the tranquility is beyond what we have ever experienced during a quick getaway. Plan to spend some of your time on this property & you’ll be glad you did. The amenities are so very well thought out & the cleanliness is so refreshing and welcoming. Just the simple touch of farm fresh eggs and breakfast options in the kitchen is so thoughtful. The throws in the living room were cozy, the bedding in the bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen gadgets, coffee options and convenience of having basic condiments in the fridge was perfect. There’s even cushions for outdoor furniture and a grill. The property owners really outdid themselves! We stayed for one day, but spent time in the home & maybe four cars passed by. I would love to stay again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay! Ron and Lorraine were excellent hosts. The house was beautiful both inside and out. It’s an 1860 farmhouse that’s been nicely updated with everything that you would expect in a more modern home, while keeping all of its original charm.Check-in was easy. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Dishwasher. Nice Maytag washer and dryer. Comfy beds with clean bedding. I’m 6’2 and was able to sleep comfortably on the twin daybed. There was also an extra pull-out trundle bed under the daybed. Lots of fresh towels and clean linens. The furniture was comfortable and inviting.There were 3 bedrooms, with 4 beds total, including the twin pull-out trundle under the daybed. Air conditioning. 1.5 baths with nice shower, sinks, and toilets. WiFi was good and reliable. My sister-in-law had to work most of the trip, and didn’t have any issues connecting to her many meetings.Wanamakers General Store is the closest store. They also make pretty good hoagies. Otherwise, Weis Supermarket in Schnecksville is probably the closest grocery store, about 20 minutes away. There’s also some pretty decent restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive for easy meals, like pizza or Chinese. I was curious, so I checked DoorDash, and you can even order food and grocery delivery from Wawa, Weis, and Wegman’s. There’s also farm stands just about 5 minutes in any direction with fresh eggs and produce. 10/10
