No complaints, terrific hosts, and beautiful property. It is a very remote location and practically off-grid, which is exactly what we hoped for. The dog had a great time in the meadow.

Fantastic cabin

Loved our stay at Piggly Pines cabin. Ann and John where wonderful hosts and made our stay perfect. The kiddos absolutely loved being able to play in the snow right out the front door, and the dogs loved running in the snow! The christmas lights on the cabin and in the trees were a favorite of the kids. Can't wait to come back to this cabin!

Secluded get away

The cabin is located on a beautiful private meadow surrounded by the national forest, close to hiking trails and wonderful vistas. Very private. The cabin itself was cool and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. The hosts are exceptionally warm and welcoming, but with the greatest respect for the privacy of their guests. We are looking forward to returning.

Wonderful and quiet location up in the trees. Plenty of room to stretch out. Hosts live close by but respect privacy. A restaurant/bar about a 20 minute walk away if you don’t feel like cooking. But who wouldn’t want to cook in that beautiful kitchen! 5 stars.

Refreshing Retreat

We had an amazing time in the meadow. Loved the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. It was great to have our lab Winnie with us as well. Lots of time to enjoy the cabin, prepare delicious meals, enjoy hammocks and swings and take in local attractions. Loved time on the trail of 100 Trees and the giant sequoias. It was just a perfect getaway. Thanks for being such wonderful hosts. We look forward to a return visit someday.

Love the views, privacy, and hospitality!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this adorable cabin! We came for a long-weekend break from our daily lives, and it was the perfect get-away. Ann and John were excellent hosts. The communication was thorough and very helpful. Ann was super sweet, and John was such fun! They were there if you needed them, or left us to our privacy for a fun family weekend. The commercial-grade kitchen was terrific to cook in and we made some fabulous breakfasts on the griddle. We enjoyed time around the fire, and Bocce ball games. We hiked on trails that can be accessed right from the property, and John suggested some excellent fishing holes without any crowds. All-in-all a terrific time. We would come again!

A beautiful place in a beautiful location

The hosts, Ann and Boz, were gracious, warm, and welcoming. We enjoyed talking and sharing some laughter with them and were grateful for the fresh eggs they had waiting for us. The property is beautiful and the home is cozy and ingeniously built. We enjoyed cooking in the fabulous kitchen and sitting by the fire under the stars at night. We were fortunate enough to be there on a weekend when the locals had an event. We had a ball listening to the local band and kicking our heels up. We should have spent more time out hiking, etc but we enjoyed the serenity of the property and we truly can't say enough about our wonderful hosts and the beautiful setting, such a great getaway to go and decompress. We hope to visit there again...sooner than later.

Amazing Anniversary Get-Away!

We just returned from the Kramers Meadow and the Piggly Pines Cabin. We went to celebrate our 21st Anniversary and it was perfect. The meadow is in full view from the Living room and the bedroom, and the sunrise viewed from the bed was exquisite! The cabin is beautiful and very well equipped. The commercial kitchen had everything we needed to create gourmet meals. The bed and bathroom were perfect for a couple, but the cabin can sleep four more and there is a bunk house available too. We explored the Sequoia Forest including Dome Rock, Needle Rocks, Camp Nelson and Sequoia Crest. It was sad to see the fire damage from back-to-back forest fires, but the forest is starting to recover, and Kramer Meadow was untouched. We will be back soon. Kramer Meadow is our new favorite destination! Don and Kim J.

Best Vacay Spot!!!

We went to get out of the fireworks! We wanted to support the local area of last year’s castle fire. What we found at Annie’s Piggly Pines was Paradise! Annie and John are beyond superb hosts! They are friendly and welcoming and had open arms to our Salukis! They pointed us in the direction of an incredible hike and answered all of our questions willingly and with a smile; both before we arrived, and while we were there. The cabin is ultra comfy and spotlessly clean! The chef’s kitchen is a dream! This paradise and it’s Meadows were saved by the heroes who fought the fire. We found absolute peace and solitude, as well as great conversation! I bent my hitch gate and John and Annie were quick to help me fix it. There was not one moment of discomfort. The hounds had a ball and were thrilled to be out of the fireworks. Us humans left refreshed and renewed. This place is truly unique and highly recommended! Be prepared to decompress! Paradise awaits you!

Simply amazing!!

First I would like to say that Ann and John were great hosts! Ann was there to greet us when we arrived and she walked us through the cabin and showed us where everything was. The cabin, its design and architecture were amazing, and the view of the meadow was fantastic. The kitchen was a chef's dream with everything you need to prepare great meals. If you are looking for a quiet serene place with beautiful views to decompress, relax, with great outdoor spaces to explore without the big crowds, then this is the place for you. It is so peaceful and secluded here and you never see or hear any neighbors. We loved exploring the meadow and venturing off on long hikes in the forest. We love visiting National parks but they have become far too crowded. Here, we would hike for hours and never see another person, it was like we had our own private national park experience. The beautiful Sequoias, and our hike to this amazing rock formation called "The Needles" reminded of us of Yosemite. The big difference is that we had it all to ourselves!! I can't thank Ann and John enough for making this such a wonderful experience for our family. We have stayed at numerous VRBO's over the years and this is our new favorite place to stay! We can't wait to go back and experience this magical place again!!

OUT OF THIS WORLD! AMAZING AND YOU WILL WANT TO STAY LONGER!!!

We wanted to disconnect form the crazy world we live on a daily basis. My wife is an MD and I'm a Business Owner/Entrepreneur, so the need to disconnect was building up for a long while. Piggly Pines plus John and Ann Bozanich are amazing and they are close as you want them or as far as you desire. We ran out of a few things but Ann was within a few seconds of saving the day. John is quick to lend a hand specially of you are from the city and forgot how to start a fire :) The property itself is super clean, hot water every day, very well arranged, furniture in great condition, kitchen is out of this world if you like to cook, the trails are relaxing and the whole area is exactly what we needed. We are going to try and come back for the winter as the photos we saw with snow are out of National Geo! If you choose this cabin, you will be happy. I know everyone has a different taste and ideas as to what they like, but keep in mind is the mountains, you are away from it all so you have to leave some of your five star expected comforts for the city life. Here is all about RELAX, RELAX, RELAX. See you soon John & Ann. We are SOLD! Thanks for your hospitality and friendship. R, N, C,

Wonderful stay

My wife and I stayed at Piggly Pines over the July 4th weekend. I must say, I couldn't have imagined it being much better. Location: The area was green and lush with many trees surrounding it. We enjoyed hiking all over and beyond the meadow. So much to explore! Everyone we ran into into locally was very friendly. At 7200 feet the air is crisp and clean. The night sky is beaming with 1,000 times more stars than you could hope to see under the bright lights of the city. Truly, a sight to behold. We even saw 4 shooting stars! Cabin: A+, kitchen is outstanding, very well equipped. Very well decorated with well thought out touches all over. Great selection of book, may I recommend "That Quail, Robert. DVD player and VHS player. Very comfortable bed. Owners: Anne & John were very kind. Anne supplied detailed instructions and maps for the ride up and was thoughtful enough to print up a list of hikes and activities in the area for the weekend. She even brought me a piece of cake on my birthday (it was yummy by the way). Thank you so much for making our time up there with you such a delight. P.S. - They have 2 dogs, Mohawk & Highway, and a cat, Simba. All 3 of them were super loving & friendly. FYI: Mohawk loves to have his belly rubbed.

Absolutely a piece of paradise.

The beauty and seclusion of the location was amazing. We were there during the huge December snow storms and it was wonderful. We were safe, warm and experienced the magic of the Sequoia National Forest in winter. Everything you need is there and the hosts do an excellent job of clearing out snow daily so that when it is time to leave, there are no issues. We would definitely go back to see the beauty in other seasons.

Annie's Piggly Pines rustic cabin is a well-maintained gem hidden among thousands of beautiful pines and rocky outcrops. If you're looking to escape to a quiet, scenic and peaceful locale (and don't mind the 28-mile winding road), we highly recommend Ponderosa.
