In the center of fun! Our home is located in the Village of Lake Leelanau.
This cottage is a wonderful home base for all the surrounding peninsula activities. We have all sorts of fun things to do Up North! In the winter enjoy hiking /snowshoeing, sledding, skating, curling, fat tire biking, cross country and near by down hill skiing. In the summer we kayak, boat, bike, hike, swim, fish. Take time to explore wonderful local wineries, farm to table dining and the overall beauty of Michigan's landscape. Each season offers its own unique opportunity to explore nearby towns and villages. Easy drive to Glen Arbor, Northport, and even Traverse City. All are within 30 minutes of the cottage. Our Lake Leelanau home is walkable to a grocery, a mercantile store, several restaurants and wineries. More shopping and things to see and do are a mere 10 minutes' drive to either Suttons Bay or Leland and historic Fishtown. Local destinations are endless and we love sharing where to go and what to see if you're not sure.

Lovely little cottage in a great location. We loved being able to walk to an (old but usable) playground right off the back yard, grocery store, and down the road to the lake. The backyard is private and was great for my kids. Some road noise, but that wasn’t a problem for us. Also really good wifi - I had to work remotely a couple of times and that was seamless. Overall lovely little cottage, great location, easy to get to Suttons Bay and other beaches.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean with everything we needed! Jamie was great with communication, letting us know about check and check out procedures. The location was great being about 20min or less from the other towns we wanted to visit.

A quiet getaway!

We absolutely loved staying here! It was very roomy, but we spent most of our time outdoors. The fire pit was awesome!

Clean comfortable cottage

We loved the location. Easy drives to Sutton’s Bay, Sleeping Bear, Traverse City, wineries, and everything else in the Leelanau peninsula. Plenty of room for our group and great outdoor areas to relax. Excellent communication and very accommodating hosts.

Perfect Lake Leelanau House

A small group of family members, including one teen, enjoyed this cute house on the edge of Lake Leelanau. An accommodating layout and well equipped from kitchen to living room to the laundry area. Nice backyard with a firepit and barbecue. Also quite convenient to the lake itself and all the little eateries that are making the town of Lake Leelanau a delightful place to hang. Loved the stay!

Next to highway and noisy with bedrooms right off the road. A lot of Jake breaking with semi’s as the house in on the top of the hill. Ac upstairs trips when in use and was able to get it reset speaking with the owner with a low ceiling. Fire pit area is mostly covered making for no star watching which was on my family list to do with local street lighting also not helpful. Tv was super slow for movies. I also had to politely ask not to conduct gardening on the property while we were there. Could use a little more privacy. Did not use front porch as it is right off of road.

Our website description of the cottage is accurate as listed. We got off on the wrong foot after an uncomfortable conversation and I discovered there were more adults on site than you had indicated in your reservation. Had you shared your change in plans before I asked and your group had already moved into the property, I would have explained our cottage is not big enough for your party. We specify max adults/children so our guests are comfortable during their stay with us. The VRBO website photos clearly show the loft upstairs with a low ceiling. Lovely and exciting space for children but challenging for adults to maneuver and a little more difficult to cool with extra bodies. I'm happy we were able to help immediately when I found out the circuit for the air conditioning unit had tripped. The website mapping shows the cottage is not in the country and located in the town of Lake Leelanau on State Route 204 between Sutton's Bay and Leland. We are a great starting spot for sightseeing on the peninsula. Our guests enjoy the walkability to our local destinations- NJ's grocery, restaurants, shops and wineries. There are township lights that reflect in the night skies and city activity to view from the covered front porch. We maintain the landscaping, yard and flowers. When I noticed a window box had been overwatered and the flowers had died, I sent a note about replacing them and was happy to do after you departed. I do hope overall you enjoyed your vacation.

Very clean, great location and super cute!

I am picky about cleanliness, everything about the house felt very clean. pleased with location and bed was comfortable. had a little hiccup in check in, but host went above and beyond to make it right.

What a gem!

Great location if you are touring around the northern peninsula. Very pleasant and friendly little town. Just a couple of blocks from Fiddleheads! House is really comfortable with a nice back deck and a really great side/front porch to sit and enjoy the evening.

We had a great stay with Jamie. The unit is a perfect fit for those looking to stay near Lake Leelanau. There are two boat ramps within walking distance, a park across the street and numerous dining options within a block or two. If you're looking for an up north cottage within short distance from everything the area has to offer I can't recommend this option enough. We will definitely try to book again. 10/10 highly recommend.

Peaceful and Pleasant

We loved staying here. The place was spotless and very well-decorated and equipped. The location was perfect for going to Leland, Sutton’s Bay, and the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. There are small, but good restaurants within walking distance. Also, there is a great grocery also within walking distance. Jamie was an excellent hostess making sure that we had everything. Loved it!

Wedding Accommodations

My son was getting married in the Traverse City area. My wife and I, along with my sons Grandmothers needed more than just a hotel room for our planned 5-day trip. We booked with Jamie and Jerry as the home they had to offer was in the ideal location. It had the right number of bedrooms and living space that we were looking for. We had no problems communicating with the owners and check in went smoothly. The home was everything we hoped it to be. It was clean, well-stocked and comfortable. It had plenty of room for a group of four to move around in and relax after attending the rehearsal and wedding. We even set aside one day for sightseeing as the surrounding area has multiple things to do and see. The home has a secluded backyard with a grill, picnic table and firepit, very relaxing. I would recommend this home to anyone staying in the Traverse city area as it has much more to offer than a hotel room.

Our stay was wonderful and more than met our expectations. The cottage was clean beyond belief when we arrived. The Host provided detailed instructions for easy entry to the property upon our arrival. It was simple and flawless. I’ve rented other properties in the past where I arrived to find not a single role of paper towels or toilet paper or liquid soap at the sinks. All of these things were available at this site. I had no reason to expect a full week’s vacation to be supplied with these essentials but it sure was nice that they were available upon our arrival. The location of the cottage provided walking access (within two blocks) to a grocery store (NJ’s IGA) plus two restaurants (Fiddleheads and Dick’s Pour House). It was also within about 5 miles drive time to Leland’s Fishtown or Sutton’s Bay charming shopping and dining opportunities. I would give this rental the highest recommendation.
