This place is a 10 out of 10. Incredible property with incredible views. Everyone was helpful and friendly. There is plenty of space, comfortable beds, and the outdoor space is beyond compare. Resort has everything you could ask for. Will always seek this spot when in Maui.

We had an amazing stay! The condo was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The beach was beautiful and just steps away, making it easy to enjoy the ocean every day. The location was excellent, close to restaurants and shopping, yet quiet and relaxing. Communication was great. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would definitely book here again. Highly recommend!

There a few minor things requiring attention. A simple dishwasher upper tray stop needs to be e ordered for the left rail to make it work flawlessly.

Great luxury unit with nicely stocked kitchen and fantastic lanai. Made our stay enjoyable despite being there during one of the worst storms in recent history. Furnishings very comfortable and plenty of room for six adults to hang out and relax inside and out. Would definitely stay again.

From the moment we walked into the condo to when we left this condo was perfect for our family. It was very nice to have bathrooms for each room and one for guest. The condo was clean and well stocked when we walked in. The beds are so comfortable. The views are amazing from lanai. You have views of the ocean and mountains. Every dinner we ate outside and the BBQ on the lanai was great. Having the fridge outside on the lanai was a great touch and wine fridge in the kitchen. The one downside of the unit is that the main fridge was does not cool down like you might think it should. We put our meats in the fridge outside to be safe. We did reach out to management on this and they replied immediately after hours which was wonderful. They just said it was because we stocked it so it would take a bit to catch up. It never really cooled to what we are use to. The location is amazing to everything. We will be back. Thank you for an amazing 8 days even with the hurricane close.

Great view and spacious

We had a lovely 6 night stay. Great view, spacious rooms, large wrap around balcony, high-end appliances inlcuding an outdoor BBQ, easy check-in and check-out process, and the reserved parking space were wonderful.

Lanai was great! Right on the beach so views were incredible! Big place too! We all had a great time here!!

Walking into the unit is breathtaking. The condo is spacious, well laid out, and the lanai and view make this unit truly second to none. The condo was very clean. Floor to ceiling glass windows open up to connect indoor and outdoor living areas. There is plenty of seating outdoors and indoors for the whole family. Our family stayed for 7 nights. We enjoyed the pools, Duke's, the beach, vendor tents, all on property, and area attractions and restaurants. It was sad to leave and we would definitely stay again.A few misc tips: The valet has a commercial fridge to drop groceries along with your luggage while you wait for your check-in time, Door Dash options are limited to deliver directly to the tower and cannot come up to the unit, Safeway will not deliver alcohol to the property, outdoor parking spots can be much easier than parking in the underground lot, and the unit does not have any throw blankets and has just enough towels for guests so plan to do laundry. Our family loved the Lounge Bar at the Ritz Carlton, L&L BBQ across the highway, the Myths Luau show (there are better venues but the show itself was awesome), Maui Brewing's live music and beachfront location.

Amazing Vacation

Breathtaking views of sunsets and amazing whale watching! The accommodations were comfy and roomy for 8 adults with a well equipped kitchen, lots of seating both inside and on the vast balcony with a 180 degree+ view. Resort staff are friendly and Dukes Restaurant has the best breakfast on the island.

Perfect week in Maui

We loved staying in Honua Kai. The unit was perfect for our large group. We tried several great restaurants in the area but also enjoyed cooking in the unit (they have a nice grill). We will be coming back.

Incredible views/amenities/condo

This condo was incredible, it has the best views in the entire development. It was so spacious that it made hosting a large party seamless. It came with so many extras that made the trip even more special, the multiple dining tables, grill, powder room, over sized bathrooms and bedrooms. We will definitely come back here for our next trip.

Stayed for a week this September and was very impressed. Excellent location in Kaanapali, easy access to the property and a very nice beach. The condo is in great condition with top appliances and even a private BBQ - no need to fight the crowds downstairs. Location is a little bit west of the other big resorts, which makes it a little quieter while still being a short walk to Whalers Village. Dine inside (store across street) or excellent food at Duke's. If you like cinnamon rolls, you must go down a few blocks to Papi's Ohana - best cinnamon rolls on the island, but pay attention to the hours. The window walls open fully and you can let the ocean breeze flow through! We had 5 adults very comfortable - all beds were comfortable. Would quickly book again on our next trip to Maui. Thank you owner and hosts - a great stay!

This was our 2nd stay in this unit. Brought our family this time. Loved being all together. Only bummer this time was that they were painting the exterior so we couldn’t use our lanai.

Beautiful place with great views

We loved this huge unit it had tons space for our family and the views from the patio are spectacular. Anytime we have any questions. We got a quick text back with the answer. We will definitely be back.

Very nice Penthouse. Lots of room for our group.

This Penthouse had a beautiful ocean view. We watched whales all day long. The Resort is very nice and is well situated for kids. Many swimming pools to choose from, and the beach is right there too. Duke's restaurant is on site and very convenient. Shopping center right across the street with a nice grocery store and pharmacy. Urgent Care office is there too, with restaurants and shopping. No need to go anywhere else. Only had two minor issues while there (parking and BBQ pit), but were resolved quickly. It's pricey, but nice. Thanks Barb at West Side Maui Properties.

Amazing stay!

We stayed in the Penthouse from Dec 8 to 18, 2011. There was a group of 9 of us. My husband and I, my two sisters, thier husbands and 3 children - ages 21 months, 4 and 9. We travelled to Maui to celebrate my parents 45th Wedding Anniversary. We booked a one bedroom/den unit in the same complex for my parents to sleep in and get away from the business of the Penthouse. They came up for coffee in the mornings and dinner and hanging out in the evening. The Penthouse was even better than the pics show! Nothing can prepare you for walking through the front door that first day. We all had tears in our eyes. The view is breathtaking. We all loved to wrap around lanai where we could have our morning coffee and relax after a day at the amazing pools or beach. Lots of chairs, sofas, coffee tables and a great dining table and chairs to enjoy dinner at. The kitchen was fully stocked. The appliances top notch. Great to have a bbq on the lanai. The bedrooms were awesome. The beds are so comfortable. Barbara met us when we checked in and got us set up. She is so helpful and easy to deal with. The unit also has beach chairs, boogie boards and children's beach toys. Lots of beach towels too which you can swtich out at the pools for fresh ones each day. Great to also eat at Dukes or order food and drink from ther while around the pool. Very well priced as well. Times Market is right across the street so great for picking up a few groceries. Can't say enough good about this unit. My family is still all blown away. The level of luxury is amazing and we can't wait to go again :) Thanks to both Barbara and Walt for responding to our emails so quickly and helping us get settled in. We'll be back!!!!
