Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify the situation for accuracy. Our property has a strict no-smoking policy, which is clearly stated in the listing and house rules and acknowledged at booking. During this stay, multiple complaints were received from both neighboring tenants and residents regarding smoking on the property, as well as noise disturbances. These complaints occurred on more than one occasion and were communicated to the guest in real time. Guests were not “kicked out three times,” but rather warned multiple times in an effort to allow compliance with house rules. Unfortunately, the violations continued. Due to repeated breaches of the no-smoking policy, management exercised the right—outlined in the rental agreement—to terminate the reservation early. Law enforcement was contacted strictly to document the situation and ensure a peaceful departure, not as an accusation of criminal behavior. Decisions regarding the reservation were made based on documented rule violations and complaints, not on police findings or neighbor interactions. Per VRBO policy and our house rules, reservations terminated due to guest rule violations are not eligible for refunds, which is why remaining nights were not refunded. We strive to provide a safe, respectful environment for all guests and neighbors and must enforce house rules consistently. We regret that this stay did not work out, but the actions taken were necessary and in accordance with our policies.
