The cabin was very clean upon arrival, and the location is undeniably pretty, but a few key details impacted our stay.Scent: There were two very strong fragrance plug-ins in a small space. Even after unplugging them immediately, the artificial scent lingered for our entire two-day stay and triggered headaches.Accessibility & Steps: This unit is not accessible for anyone with mobility issues or bad feet. Getting to the cabin requires navigating four flights of steps, two of which are uneven landscaping stones. Outdoor lighting is also very dim, making evening navigation tricky.Location & Layout: The beach is right down the road, but keep in mind it’s a steep downhill walk, which means a tough uphill climb back. Inside, access to the bathroom requires walking through the other bedroom. This was noted in the listing description, but it is an awkward setup in practice.Noise & Value: The walls are quite thin. We had very loud neighbors keeping us up until 2:00 AM, and sound travels easily between units.While the host kept a clean space, the combination of steep access, poor lighting, heavy fragrances, and thin walls didn't deliver a 600/night experience for us. I recommend double-checking all the written listing details carefully before booking.

We apologize for any confusion with the listing as we do try and communicate any and all details about location and the cabin's exterior through the description and photos to ensure our guests are aware prior to booking. Our guests choose to book our cabin for the walkability to the town and beach so we apologize that this wasn't the experience you were hoping for. Thank you for letting us know about the lighting - we've had our maintenance team add in some outdoor solar lights to illuminate the pathway up to the cabin. We do want to speak to the price since a majority of what was mentioned as the price paid per night was VRBO fees and refundable damage deposit (collected by VRBO). Please know we would never charge the price you mentioned for our rentals as we strive to be the affordable, family-friendly option in Lake George as a family-owned business. We wish we would have known about any additional noise in the evening hours to have helped mitigate this! We truly thank you for your feedback in helping to ensure all guests have a wonderful experience. We hope your time in Lake George was still great!

Great place close to the action but not in the action

We had a wonderful time staying at the Cabin. The place was as advertised and we had plenty of space inside and out for the two of us + two kids under 4. The deck was great and the personal fire pit we used a bunch. The owners were very easy to communicate with and met the property manager, who was a great guy. It’s a two minute walk from a nice park and about a ten minute walk from million dollar beach. We had a blast and will be back. Thank you

Sweet cabin in the woods yet close to village!

Property & cabin were adorable! Everything is well-maintained. We brought our fur baby along, there are designated dog relief areas but not a lot of grass for your pups potty needs. Erin was phenomenal with communication throughout the whole process. She is just lovely and wonderful to work with, cannot say enough good things about her. The cabin is nestled in a clean safe semi wooded area yet a nice stroll away from the village, best of both worlds. There is a restaurant within walking distance and the dog friendly beach is within walking distance as well. The village is a decent walk but not unmanageable if you like to walk. If not it is a two minute drive before you are in the heart of Lake George Village! Best location ever for a lovely family vacation. Will definitely be back!
