Great location! Very kind and responsive hosts. Tasteful decor, comfortable bed, very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, we had a good stay. Communication was great and check-in / check-out was very easy. Though we found the listing to be accurate and the room looked like the photos, there are a few things we found to be a bit below our expectations. First, the neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges. The house itself and the ones next door seem to be well-maintained and as you travel up the street to the north it's a nice residential area, but if you approach the house from the south or from the west, the neighborhood is very rough. Note that we never felt unsafe, but first impressions were a bit uneasy. Second, the floors are very creaky and if you have anyone in the apartment above you, you will definitely hear them walking around and dropping things. Our upstairs neighbor went to bed later than we did so going to sleep was a challenge each night. Third, while having a laundry available was a big help and appreciated, it should be noted that it's not inside the unit, but rather through a different door next to the parking lot.We should also note the plusses. Again, having laundry available was import to us and appreciated. Having air conditioning, also a necessity and it worked well. We didn't use the kitchen very much, but it seemed to have everything that you would need. And the biggest thing we appreciated was the supply of bottled water that was in the fridge!

We stayed for a week in early October. The apartment was larger than expected, very clean and nicely decorated and it had everything we needed. The location is within view of the beautiful Hudson to the East. Frances was very attentive and concerned about the comfort of our stay, was willing to help with a few extra accommodations I needed, and was very quick to respond! As noted in another review, the washer/dryer are not in the unit but are in the building which is really nice. The area felt a little older/run down but never unsafe. My only complaint was actually with the upstairs tenant who was incredibly loud throughout every night and obviously unaware of his surroundings. I should have reached out to Frances sooner in our stay because the noise was markedly improved once she asked him to be mindful. Otherwise, the noise was what you’d expect in an older apartment with wood floors. All in all, I’d gladly stay again and felt the price was reasonable for all we had access to and the effort Frances made to make our experience good!
