We loved the Starlight Retreat, especially all the windows and wood framing. The only drawback was hot tub. We did not feel it was private as there was no screening from the tenant. We only used hot tub once.

Really cozy warm vibe. ProWithin walking distance to the beaches and food trucks. ConHot tub isn't as private as I had thought it was going to be. It was still blocked from the neighbors windows by some bushes, but its basically in the drive way. ProProjector is pretty sweet. ProOne of the toilets has a bidet, that was a pretty cool experience. ProSurround sound in the whole houseConStove fan didn't work

Just to touch on the hot tub, it is located along the side of the home and is somewhat open to the parking area, where the tenant parks before accessing their separate suite. The hot tub cannot be seen from inside the tenant’s suite, but it can be visible from the parking area. I’m sorry if this wasn’t quite as private as you had expected. The outdoor tub, which can also be enjoyed as a cold plunge, is located in the backyard and is fully private. I’m also sorry to hear about the fan. I wasn’t aware of that issue, so I’ll be sure to look into it. Thanks again for your feedback and for staying with us!

Great location, nice hot tub. Well-managed. Not a ton of privacy for sleeping arrangements (which we knew beforehand) but our group was a bunch of women so that didn’t matter much.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for being such wonderful guests! For future guests, I'd just like to clarify that the home does have a more open-concept layout. As shown in the photos and described in the listing, it's best suited for couples, close friends, or families who are comfortable sharing the space. The home is loft-style, meaning the upstairs bedroom is open to the area below, and the lower bedroom does not have a full ceiling, has privacy curtains(no doors) so it can be seen from parts of the loft and office area. We always encourage guests to carefully review the photos and listing description before booking, and we're more than happy to answer any questions beforehand to ensure the home is the right fit. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back one day!

Amazing stay!

We had a great time at Starlight Retreat! Located just a short ways to Chesterman Beach our sunrise/sunset walks were incredible. We found it to be cozy and well stocked. Would definitely return!

Peaceful stay close to everything

We had the best stay here, everything we needed was provided. We felt we had lots of privacy but we're close enough to town and the beaches. Perfect, cozy location!

Very comfortable spot that is beautifully set up with all the essentials and then some. We stayed with two adults and two kids plus a dog and had a great time. Within walking distance to the beach. It may be important to some that no sleeping areas are separated by doors from the rest of the house. Would happily stay here again!

Paradise in the forest, by the beach

The property is accessed off the Pacific Rim Highway via a magical lane framed by a canopy of trees and flowering bushes. The house was so peaceful and beautifully appointed. We loved the hot tub, cold plunge, and just sitting and watching and listening to the beauty of nature. Everything you could need was provided. We were shocked how quickly a month went and want to return again!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay

This is the third year we have stayed here - it is our Tofino home. The house is cozy, clean and the kitchen perfectly equipped. The hot tub and the woodstove give added coziness after a day out on the beach and after our trip to the Hotsprings Cove! The house is private and a short walk to Chesterman Beach where we spent most of the day finding interesting sea creatures and watching the massive waves. Tofino shopping, restaurants and the aquarium and other sights in Uclulet are a short drive away! We will be back with the grandson again next year - thankyou!

We had a great time staying at the Starlight Retreat

We had a wonderful time staying at the Starlight Retreat. It is a beautiful place with lots of room for our family and dog. Its location right across from Chesterman Beach made for easy walks to the beach everyday. Thank you for having us. Would definitely come again.

A magical month

Starlight retreat is even better than the photos, and TVR is top notch in service and hospitality. Everything we needed and more was at our fingertips. They’ve thought of it all. You won’t be wishing for much, if at all. We had two adults and two Greater Swiss Mtn Dogs staying and we all had a blast. The best beach in Tofino is a short walk, town is a quick drive or bike ride away, and there are so many adventures to participate in. There is a paved walking/bike path along the Pacific Rim Hwy from one end of Tofino all the way to the other town, Ucluelet. We had time to do it all on our month long visit. We made friends and really got to know the area- so when I say this is the place to stay- believe me. The location is perfect; Remote enough to feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest with all the amenities, but just down the street you have all of what the beach and town have to offer. A handful of excellent dining options and even more casual eateries to select from. We love Tofino and TVR. TVR is on top of it at every turn, so you can relax and focus on your magical starlight retreat.
