Beach Front Condo with Outstanding Views

After a 45 minute drive down an excellent highway from Los Cabos Airport, you will come to the crystal clear Bahia de Palmas. The condo is directly on the beach and has spectacular views of the ocean and mountains. Relax in the quiet pool-just a few steps from the condo. Snorkel and kayak right from the beach in front. There is an amazing variety of tropical fish and live coral. Enjoy long walks on the beach and stop at the nearby resort to schedule a massage or enjoy a poolside margarita.

Los Barriles has several excellent restaurants or you can cook in the fully stocked kitchen. Go deep sea fishing then cook your tuna on the grill! Enjoy hiking, windsurfing, kitesurfing,horseback riding and ATV tours of the Arroyos. Take day trips to Cabo Pulmo Marine sanctuary, Punta Pescadero, Cabo san Lucas, or La Paz. You can find waterfalls and hot springs in the area as well as the only zoo in the Baja. Or just relax, read a book and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you!

Comfortable and convenient

We were very comfortable here and enjoyed our visit greatly. The bed is comfortable, the condo gets good breezes, the pool deck is nice, and the beach is right there.

Another Great stay in Los Barilles

Couldn’t be happier. Amazing Christmas week vacation with whales and 80 degree weather. Perfect for single or couples, we really enjoyed our stay and we can’t wait for our next visit.

I highly recommend this property. Watching the sunrise in the morning was great, and you are steps from the beach. This condo was perfect for my husband and I. We enjoyed our time at this little hidden gem. Thank you, Sharon.

Ocean View

Great quiet location about 1 mile South of the main section of Los Barriles. Full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker. The unit has decent water pressure in the shower. The view is unreal. Nice little deck. The condo has a nice pool and access to the beach. There are quite a few stairs to get around the unit, but steps are good for you. I would stay here again.

Wow this place is amazing! Super clean & well organized- the bed is GREAT the location of Mar Y Sol is wonderful-5 minutes to downtown and the beach here is awesome, good swimming & snorkeling just steps away. We have stayed here in the past but not at this unit, looks like lots of updated appliances & furniture, super comfy. This is our new favorite place in the Barriles area & we can’t wait to visit again!!

Beautiful

Balcony overlooks the Sea of Cortez resulting in beautiful sunrises, friendly neighbors and quaint small town. Great laid back atmosphere, (I could easily live here). Sharon was a good host and offered amenities that were above expectation ie. kayaks and snorkel gear. She also provided a book listing places to eat and get groceries and other shops aned services in town.

Nice clean condo in excellent location

We love this location more than any in the Los Barriles area, and we have been there about 5 times. The snorkeling right in front of the condo is always terrific, we don't have to drive down any dirt roads to get to it, it's quiet, and the people are friendly and helpful! The condo itself was one of the cleanest we have stayed in, and even though it was in the 80's each day, we rarely even had to use the AC; the ceiling fans were perfect. The king-sized bed is very comfortable as well. Our favorite places to eat, just a short drive into town, were Campestre Triny (amazing guacamole and fresh grilled fish), and also Caleb's for breakfast.

Worn and dated. But, hey its Mexico!

Brant is a responsive host. He offered cancellation because I was confused about bedding arrangements. The king bed is lumpy and the pull out sofa is a disaster. This accomodation will work for a young couple with a toddler.

We let the reviewer know that this is not a condo for more than two people unless the third is a child who would be comfortable on our twin blow up mattress. We do have a pull out sofa but do not recvommend it be used because it is pretty old. I do not think the king size bed is lumpy (and neither do others who have stayed there ) but this reviewer made a mistake and thought we were another more expensive recently upgraded condo that he had stayed in before and may be writing from this perspective. I think his review is more a reflection of his mistaken reservation and while we tried to refund his money I probably should have insisted.

Amazing views!

We wanted something on or near the beach, and boy did we get it!! When looking to book, the map shows that this place is not near the water. However, we discovered that that is the property management company that maintains the condos. This place overlooks the water and is literally steps away from the beach! The condo had everything we needed and the check in instructions were very clear and well detailed. The location is very private and only a 5 minute drive from LB. The airport is about 45 minutes away. We had a rental car so we could explore other areas (La Paz, etc.) but one could take a bus and then rent a side by side for exploring just as easily. If you envision being lulled to sleep by the gentle waves and drinking your coffee on a balcony overlooking the Sea of Cortez watching the sun come up, this is the place for you!

Great location

This is the third time we have stayed at this condo complex, the first time in this unit. The condo needs some upgrades, repairs and improvements. We were there for 2 major storms, and there was a lot of water that came into the unit, granted it doesn’t rain that often in Baja and this unit is on the side of the complex that gets exposed to much wind and rain, but there were links and rain coming into the window sill etc. We used a lot of towels to mop up. The furnishings are fine, there’s enough basic kitchen supplies and Housekeeping does a decent job. The bed is comfortable, lots of closet space and DVD player works. Good WiFi. We didn’t have instructions for regular TV. The shower, toilet and the drain really need to be fixed. We love the view, beach, pool and LB.

Thanks for your review. I think it is important to understand that during the guests’ stay there were tropical storms which, while not quite hurricane level, dumped more rain in a few days than LB normally gets in a year. Water damage and sluggish drains are to be expected in those conditions but thankfully they rarely happen. We will repair the leaks and replace the lamp that the open windows allowed the wind to knock off the side table and break. We are glad you found the bed comfortable and the cleanliness up to your standard. It is hard to beat the oceanfront views and condo location—especially for the price. (The reason there were no instructions for regular TV is that we don’t have regular TV 😉) Thanks again!

Modest accommodations and the condo a bit tired. The area is marvelous but the condo is lackluster

Mar y Sol is a nice condo settlement with friendly snow birds offering any help you might need to settle in. Our condo had a lovely view and the pool and surrounding grounds are very nice. Access to Los Barriles is minutes away and the beach is at you finger tips. But the condo had little to do with our enjoyment. The place felt dirty. The towels provided had bleach stains and were old and worn. The furniture was uncomfortable and the cushions needed a good cleaning. The satellite TV never worked nor did the DVD player. The bathroom and bedroom have no windows and so it felt claustrophobic especially since it's a hot climate. Overall the condo needs a serious deep cleaning , painting, and creature comfort updates. For the price it is not a value and the on line photos make the place look much more appealing than it really is. The owners are helpful upfront but if your expectation is to feel special upon unlocking the door this place fails to deliver. We were glad to move on and felt a little ripped off.

We were sorry to read that you were not satisfied with our beachfriont condo. It is true that the furnishings are dated but we have never had a guest complain about cleanliness. The condo was painted recently and the living room furniture recently reupholstered. We have always felt that for the price our place is a bargain. A beachfront hotel room in the area costs much more and has much less space and no kitchen. The bedroom does have s small window with a good view of the ocean and is placed so that the bedroom remains cool and quiet. In the past when something like a DVD player does not work, guests have quickly let us know so we can get our local property manager there to fix it. We are sorry that you didn't let us know at the time but it seems that everything is working now. If a bleach stained towel is bothersome, there should be plenty of spares in the linen closet. Having said that we will let our property manager know of your concern.

Great location, fantastic views

My friend and I stayed at this gorgeous condo. Exactly as advertised! Very comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning (it was VERY muggy during our stay). Kitchen was stocked with the essential tools, lots of space to cook. Already trying to plan for our next stay :) Highly recommend!

Fabulous Condo in quiet complex.

Condo is a quiet one-bedroom w/nice kitchen and great veranda overlooking the area's best shoreline. There are kayaks on beach, nice pool, and quiet at night for great sleep. Best are the helpful neighbors, many of whom own or are frequent renters who have vested interest in getting to know you! Great place to stay. We will definitely be back!

Great value!

The apartment was great! It had everything we needed and the location was great; we did not rent a car but walked into town on the beach which took maybe 15 minutes. We snorkeled in front of condo as well as hund put on the beach. Each morning we walked the beach which was lovely. We would definitely go again.

Relaxing Mar y Sol

Our one week stay at Mar Y Sol condos was comfortable and enjoyable. The complex is small (30 ish units) quiet, well maintained with friendly residents. Brant's condo is comfortable and exactly as advertised. The kitchen is reasonably equipped. The wifi worked well. We did not use the TV on our vacation. Nor did we use the A/C... always a breeze flowing through the condo. The king bed was comfy and the balcony view, its greatest asset, spectacular!

Beautiful ocean view and sunrises

We really enjoyed our week here. Make Sure you get up early to enjoy the sunrises, they are spectacular here. The place was comfortable and a casual feel, just what we were looking for. The beaches are beautiful and are perfect for walking on.. and a easy walk to town. The down side it was too windy all week to go into the water to swim or snorkel.. but that’s the area this time a year. If you are a kiter it is paradise. Also, parking was challenging with our larger vehicle, not enough parking spaces when we were there. Besides that small issue we had a great time, so much to do in the area. Lots of great mountain biking, hiking, and hidden good restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying here.

A great place to say in Los Barriles

This unit exceeded our expectations in every way. Right on the beach, short distance to town, comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen, good wifi. Having the washer/dryer was a great benefit. Lots of friendly neighbors, and they were all nice despite many of them being Canadian. We are staying another two months in two other rentals that cost 25% less. Even though we are on a budget, I am now convinced that I should have paid the extra and stayed longer at this place. Pay the extra... it is worth it!
