Walking in, you’re immediately in awe — and then you see that view. From that moment, nothing else really matters. The home itself is beautiful, thoughtfully stocked, and clearly well‑maintained. It’s also in a great location, not far from Brookings Harbor or Chetco Point. We truly wished we could’ve stayed longer. Our favorite restaurants were R.H. Pub & Grill and Zola’s on the water. A couple things to note: the spiral staircase to the upstairs bedrooms is solid but might be tricky if you have small kids. And the walk down to the lower river deck has uneven ground, so be mindful on the way down.

Beautiful property. The house is very clean and well stocked. The deck and hot tub were perfect. It had everything we needed for our toddler. If you’re traveling with young children the room upstairs was easy to baby proof with the addition of a baby gate at the stairs. The downstairs room would have been easy as well. The way down to the river is pretty steep for kids but there’s a nice area to hang out by or fish from that’s perfect for adults. The host is very responsive and gave good recommendations. We would definitely recommend and would stay again if we’re in the area.

Magical! Amazing! One of the top most relaxing vacations we have had, like ever. That huge deck and hot tub view was just stunning. The pictures are amazing, but somehow it is even better in person. We just loved our time and the only issue was that we had to leave and wished we had stayed at least one more day. The stairs are a little precarious and the walk down to the water a little steep, but doable. My kids loved floating on our inner tubes and fishing. Just bring all the supplies then just don’t leave, there is plenty to do right here at this lovely house. I should mention the supplies and extra thought to making your stay here is priceless. I mean you don’t even need to bring coffee!! And the bathroom is completely stocked, you will need nothing. Can’t wait to be back!

We loved our stay at Daryn's home. It was so comfortable and cozy. This house boasted all the amenities you would need for your stay. The large porch was amazing for morning coffee all the way through evening activities. The hot tub was a great perk! We even utilized the outdoor shower just for the experience. There is not much sound barrier between upstairs and downstairs, so every footstep and creak of the floor can be heard in the downstairs bedroom. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning. Overall we LOVED our stay and highly recommend!

Our family stayed here for a last-minute spring break trip to Brookings. The home and property were definitely the best! Just a short drive to the beach, tucked up the river and out of the wind - we found this house to be a cozy retreat. The owner went above and beyond by returning our son’s special blanket after we forgot it at checkout. Wonderful experience!

Our stay was amazing to say the least. The house was perfectly set up, warm and cozy with great views, location and amenities. The host provided almost everything a guest could imagine to have a great, relaxing and comfortable stay. Watching the fog foll through the valley from the hot tub after a nice meal was perfect.

This is a lovely house in a beautiful location, clearly well cared for. Generally clean and has a really nice bidet. Well stocked and furnished. Only complaint is that the hot tub was pretty gross and had some mold so we couldn't use it.

Cheryl, very unfortunate experience with the hot tub. We strive to make sure it’s cleaned the day before a guest arrives. Thank you for the note I will make sure this never happens again.

I could write a book about how awesome our trip was!!! It definitely started with the River Oasis! Check-in was as easy as could be. House was extremely clean and inviting. There was some trash out under the deck from a graduation party, quick clean, no problem. The house has everything you need. Beds and linens are spot on. The upstairs has a different layout. Not private enough for two separate couples but not a problem for us. It is definitely the scenery and the nature and the deck/hottub that are the jewels of this property!!! Mornings and evenings offer two different worlds. Each day is a different weather pattern, so vert beautiful. You definitely want to stay up here and visit the beach, not the other way around. We enjoyed Woodpeckers, Squirrels, Seagulls, Blue Herons, Ducks, and other Birds. We had a small herd of deer (10-12) visit 3 or 4 times and there is a working ranch across the river which makes it seem more in the middle of nowhere. And the Chetco River is siren. I was told it is one of the only untouched rivers in the nation, since the dawn of time.Running out of words. Brookings is great!! All shops, all restaurants!!! Get fresh seafood!!!! Go to multiple beaches, we liked Whaleshead Beach. Go to Trees of Mystery definitely, and Ocean World. I want my only negatives to be funny;Bidet, the Women loved it, the Men hated it!And nobody needs a motion sensing kitchen faucet, they just freak people out.Great place, great value, unbeatable location!!!

Amazing views and so quiet

The house and property were beautiful. Far enough off the beaten track to enjoy the quiet and seclusion but close enough to town and all the sights that brookings has to offer. We worked with our host with regards to hosting a small wedding dinner and it was the prefect setting. We are so happy we found this gem!
