Great location near Hocking Hills. Remote enough that we could have done some stargazing if the clouds would have cooperated.

I can not recommend this cabin to others. This was the worst rental experience that we've had. The positives were that the water pressure was good and the appliances worked well. At first glance everything looked fine, but all of the little things added up to be an uncomfortable experience. Nearly all of the dishes were dirty and we ended having to wash everything before using it. The cabin was poorly built - there were holes in the walls due to exceptionally poor finishing work, as if someone just guessed what angles to cut the boards and wasn't very good at guessing. There were several electric boxes that had gaps or were sticking out of the walls at weird angles. The shower wasn't level so all of the water pooled to one side which is probably why it was disgusting. There was hair and bugs everywhere. The bed had several dead bugs under the sheets and we almost left because we thought they might be bed bugs. There was also several pieces of hair in each of the beds. When we entered the cabin, the toilet had several dead bugs in it. There were flies all over the cabin. The grass was not cut around the fire pit so when we sat at the benches, we had grass up to our knees. All in all, not a good experience.

The cabin is cleaned before each arrival, fresh sheets are put on the beds, and we have regular pest control. We will follow up with our cleaning team about the dishes, shower, beds, and insects you described, and inspect the wall and electrical box issues you noted. The cabin is in a wooded area, so insects can sometimes get inside. We also keep the grass cut, though heavy rain can delay mowing. We understand that neither explains the conditions you reported, and we appreciate you bringing them to our attention.

Centrally located to many Hocking Hills attractions. Cabin was new & had everything needed for an extended weekend stay.

Such a beautiful cabin it was clean, everything was updated & maintained. Great communication amenities were as described. My friends and I booked this cabin for a reunion after 35 yrs. We had an amazing time. Thank you!

Lovely Cabin

The location was quiet and peaceful and close to restaurants, gas station and stores and the cabin is very cute and cozy. Would have loved the location more if it was a little closer to Hocking Hills State park. Overall our stay was very enjoyable.

When we pulled up to the house, our first impressions could have been a little better. The yard wasn't super well kept and the outside of the cabin seemed a little rough. However, it was beautiful on the inside and ended up being quite a nice place to stay. It was also close by to several prime hiking spots, which was nice. It's a small house, but perfect for a couple getaway. Definitely had a nice cozy feel to it.

A neat cabin

The cabin was nice, pretty clean, and cute. Only thing that really sucked is there was a storm and the power went out for a few hours. I guess it's a common occurrence for the area.

This was a home away from home! Nice, cozy, and warm! Definitely wanting to go back. Location was beautiful. Seen all kinds of wildlife. Great spot if you really just want peace and quiet.

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There were dead bugs in the shower. The bathroom sink had previous guests hair and there was tooth paste residue in the tooth paste holder and on the sink. The bed blankets do not look like they have been cleaned as they had a stain on it. We thankfully brought our own blankets and pillows. We decided to look past this on the first night we arrived. Although on the last night, it was pouring rain outside. We started to get ready for bed and on the queen bed closest to the wall, there was water pouring from the ceiling onto the bed. It went through two pillows (one which was ours from home that had to be thrown away) and onto the bed. We contacted the host and he was unhelpful and just said he will send maintenance the next day. We sent photos and a video. It was supposed to be a romantic getaway but one person had to sleep on the couch and one on the twin bed. The next morning the host offered a 50 credit. We contacted vrbo as we did not think this was fair. Vrbo live agent said the host would not budge. The live agent did not think he was fair either and said he wished he could do more. This host is rude and does not care about his guests or their stay. I do not recommend staying with this host.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. Cleanliness is something we take very seriously. The cabin is professionally cleaned and inspected after every guest checks out, so I was surprised to hear your comments. If the bathroom had been in the condition you described upon arrival, I wish you had contacted me immediately so we could have sent someone to address it right away. Regarding the roof leak, the heavy rain that night revealed an unexpected issue that had not been present before. As soon as you notified me, I arranged for maintenance to come the following morning, which was the earliest possible opportunity. I also offered a goodwill credit for the inconvenience. Our goal is always to provide every guest with a comfortable stay, and we have many guests who enjoy the cabin and leave positive reviews. We appreciate all feedback, as it helps us improve, and the roof issue has since been addressed. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

Awesome cabin

For the price this has to be one of the best little cabins to stay in. Several attractions are within 10 minutes and overall the cabin is really nice. The pictures do make it seem a little more secluded than it really is but all in all. It's is in a nice location. My only real gripe was that the shower seemed to be hastily installed and did leak a decent about.

Hiking the Hills

Very tidy and comfortable cabin. Enjoyed our stay, very quiet area, even saw a Buck cross the yard. Very easy to contact the owner. Might suggest to have a cheap hair dryer available for us girls after a shower ;)

Cabin

The cabin was ok but outside could have been more presentable. The drive was hard to see,the grass wasnt that mow so it was hard for me to walk to the cabin. The grass was growled up around the cabin but we had a nice time visiting my daughter.

We loved this property! Very safe and quiet, we had an issue with our water when we first arrived but the owner quickly got a hold of me and helped us fix the problem. They provided everything in the cabin that we needed and the fireplace in the back was very nice. It’s very secluded away from all the noise of life. The floor and towels that were provided were not the cleanest but easily fixable.

Cute little cabin

It was a cute little cabin perfect for us three. I was disappointed that the grass was over grown picking ticks off of us because of it the grass looked like it hadn't been mowed in weeks. This was a holiday weekend too. Messaged owners if they were going to mow got no response. The location was kinda sketchy. Its not really in a town but a little no nothing village.The floors were dirty and dead ants on the floors in the rooms.
