For sure, being rural comes with its many perks but at times, the internet service providers aren't the best and so the wifi fluctuates a bit. However, this can be a great way to enjoy your vacation which should be all about the experience, unwinding and relaxing. Unplugging is by far the best way to do this. We are also surprised to hear you think the villa is run down, as it was renovated only months before your stay. We actually haven’t even had a chance to update the photos, so the villa should have superseded your expectations. Carlene noted that you even complimented how much you liked the villa. Jamaica is a developing country and this is the reason we provide our recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Because anywhere you go out and interact on your own in a rural town, you will normally get a mix of experiences. We find that when you only have a limited time in a new country, local recommendations helps to eliminate dissatisfaction. As you confirmed in our guests' reviews, we've never had any issues with privacy and so we will look into what could have caused this feeling.
