Great time and great view

We had a blast staying on Ashley lake. Morgan was very responsive and the cabin was as advertised. They had everything there that you need for the week. Beautiful location !

This one is amazing! We would absolutely stay here again. The house is in a great location; the lake is gorgeous, and the house is cute, clean, and has every amenity you would need. Very easy to communicate with the host and perfect for a family weekend.

Relaxing lake getaway

Our family had a wonderful stay. There is plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the view of the lake whether it was on the dock, on the massive deck, or at the firepit. The kitchen was well stocked and the home is very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay as always. We are unsure whether this is 4or 5 years. Hope to return next year. This cabin fits our needs perfectly!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and spacious, and included many useful amenities like movies, games, towels. We loved the porch and outdoor seating areas. Everyone in our party ageing 17 to 70 enjoyed the stay. Although we like to mention that their is only one controller for the Xbox, so we didn't use it, but would have if there was 2.

Perfect Lake Cabin with amazing dock!

This cabin is wonderful and even nicer than the photos! There is great indoor space and plenty of room for a family to spread out, have privacy but also share time together. The kitchen is very well appointed and has everything you need! There is great deck space. The dock is amazing. Super fun slide and wall with deep water to jump and dive in. The ability to also rent the pontoon boat from the owners is really convenient. And super nice! We appreciated the welcome goodies as well as the little things like toiletries in the bathroom. Highly recommend!

Peaceful Winter Getaway

Our group (two couples) had a wonderful week-long stay at this gorgeous cabin. We loved cooking in the clean, well-stocked kitchen and relaxing in the den, taking in the views of the lake, mountains, and resident eagle population. On walks we frequently saw deer and other wildlife tracks. Four-wheel drive vehicle access into town and back during the snow was no problem -- the county diligently maintains Ashley Lake Road and Morgan kept the driveway plowed. We truly appreciated that Morgan stayed in communication with us throughout the stay as deep winter weather set in; we stayed warm and cozy with no problems. There are many thoughtful touches to this property such as warm throw blankets in the seating areas and plenty of games to enjoy. I'm sure this cabin is a perfect summer getaway, but it's also amazing in winter - you won't be disappointed.

This house stinks like sewer gas and cat urine

I’d like to start positively by saying the house was clean in appearance and was well-stocked. The homeowner thoughtfully put several bags of ice in the freezer, there was plenty of propane and charcoal for the grill, the kitchen had all the necessary accouterments and there were plenty of towels. When we walked into the house, we could smell air freshener. It was sickly sweet smelling. The entire lower level of the house reeked of cat urine over this sickly sweet smell. The utility room stank the worst. This is obviously where the homeowner keeps the litter box. My daughter complained the stench was making her sick. The master had a sewer gas smell that required the bathroom window be open at all times. The problem with this was that the bathroom window was directly above the trash cans, so gnats kept flying through the screen of the open window. We left a day early as the stench progressively got worse during the week and we couldn’t take it anymore. We stayed in a hotel the last night of our stay. All that said, the view was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed being on the lake far from the house because you could even smell the septic system out on the deck. The homeowner really needs to look into this. The homeowner should also warn guests that this house is just over eight miles down a dirt road. It took nearly a half an hour every time we left the house to get to the main highway.

Hello, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear this. We do not allow pets nor do we have a litter box. We will definitely look into that odor. It’s the first we’ve heard about it. Also I’d like to add that any time a home is on a septic it can have septic gases that’s why we recommend cracking the windows some. You’ll find that in ANY home in the country with a septic. Lastly, we would have love to been made aware of your issues while you were here and made it right instead of a poor review. This is our first poor review. We would have gladly offered money back or a solution.

Beautiful Lake Property That's Great for the Family

My family (wife and two kids plus in laws) stayed in July 2023, and we had a wonderful time. The home was in great condition, the views were very nice, and we felt that it was correctly represented in the listing. A couple of things. First, they say the road is rough and the last three miles are indeed that. We have a 4x4 pickup so no real issue for us but just be aware. Second, the stairs down from parking to the home are a workout. Not such a big deal for us but if you have mobility issues, get some help going down. Overall, it was pretty much ideal for us. The floating dock was a lot of fun for our kids, the outdoor dining was really nice in the evenings, and it never got too hot in the house either. The hosts answered any questions we had very quickly and it seems they take good care of the property and don't demand too much of you when you're packing up to leave. In all, I would highly recommend this property. We would definitely go again (and probably will).

Wonderful home

We loved our stay in this beautiful log home. The highlight was the slide on the dock into beautiful Ashley lake ,and the decks. Well equipped with all sorts of supplies and we ordered grocery delivery when we ran out of food. One problem was the fan wasn’t working in LR so loft area for sleeping was too hot. But kids slept on the lower level couches. We spent most of the day in the water which was warmish and so clear and ate every dinner outside on the deck. And the kids enjoyed the hockey game.

Just perfect for our family!

The home was spacious, clean, stocked well. The lake, dock and views were amazing. The owner was easy to work with and wonderful. The perfect Summer lake get-a-way. An FYI: there are around 50 steep stairs going down to the home from the parking area. A consideration if you are travelling with elderly or toddlers. But if not, you can’t beat it!

Best VRBO experience ever

This property is outstanding, meeting or exceeding all expectations. The owners clearly know how to make guests feel comfortable, thinking of all the special touches that make a property great. The house and the surroundings are spectacular. This was my first visit to Montana (but not my husband's), so I had high expecations.

Relax and Have Fun

This is our second summer staying at this lovely property. The hosts have really thought about how to make the most of your time at this gem. There are so many nooks to stop and relax and truly enjoy outdoor living. The dock and slide feature allow for hours of fun for kids and adults both and a great place to enjoy the beautiful water. My only concern in recommending is that it may get booked and not have space for us next year.

Perfect Weekend Retreat

Great lakefront cabin, perfect for relaxing and playing on the lake. Right on the water with an awesome dock with slide. Can’t beat the view from the porch, living room, or kitchen. Clean, comfortable, and plenty of room for the whole family. Morgan was great to work with. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful house and great views
