Having a primary residence in the Ann Arbor area, yet a true love of the up north experience, made the dream of what we now call "Sherwood Place" come true. The vision of a peaceful escape, intertwined with our love for nature, guided us to this unique property. We were captivated by its ability to embody the true essence of "up north" living, while maintaining the easy access to vibrant downtown Traverse City. The sheer joy we experience in this enchanting setting is something we believe should be shared, prompting us to open our doors to vacationing guests. Our primary goal is to offer a clean and welcoming sanctuary, a place where everyone can escape the pressures of daily life and forge lasting memories amidst the tranquil beauty of the surrounding woods.

The area includes walking distance to Grace MacDonald Park, snow mobile trails, VASA trails, Peegeo's (known for their wings), lakes, woods and lots of wildlife! Turkeys, deer and the large Pileated Woodpeckers make appearances right by the large front porch.

The property is unique with its 10 acres of clearly marked trails and places to stop and sit deep in the woods. Across the street is lake access for fishing with provided canoes. The property has a whimsical feel in the summer with artist painted rocks and glass art outdoors illuminated with solar lights in the evenings. The front porch is a great place to watch the wildlife go by. Inside is a cozy feel with a game room in the basement, and decor that matches the artsy up north location.
