We had a great stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and in a safe neighborhood right near the square, which made everything easy to get to. The host was responsive and the space felt welcoming. Would happily stay again.

This nicely updated house is a perfect way to see Dahlonega. The neighborhood is quiet and it is an easy 5- 10” walk to the downtown square. House is well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and they obviously make sure everything is in working order. Owner communicated with us prior to arrival. Enjoy a stay here and don’t forget to hike to Preachers rock for an amazing view!

Great location, within walking distance of the downtown Square, shopping and many local restaurants. Property is perfect for small family. Nice neighborhood was safe to walk in and quiet. Great communication.

Very nice and cozy place. Neighbors waved and were nice as well, which matters. Very easy walk into the Dahlonega town square.

The property was very clean and totally updated. Anything that you would need in the kitchen was available. They even included a lot of games, a record player and information about the surrounding area. It is located in a very nice residential area and very quiet. You can easily walk to town from the home. We really enjoyed staying there and the owners were very prompt with a response when we had a question. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

Very well located, less than 10 minute walk to town. Everything was clean, good communication with host. Could use a few more plates and glasses, but otherwise a perfect weekend retreat.

The kitchen in the house had everything needed for a comfortable stay. My dog accompanied us on our trip and this location was perfect for her. Plenty of walking areas and was even welcomed downtown. Excellent!

Great house, great location. Walkable to downtown but we drove because I was pretty sure the steep hills would be too much for me. Lots of free parking options downtown. Such a sweet downtown! We also drove to Gibbs Gardens, about a 45 minutes drive. SO worth it! We'd definitely stay here again.

The house was very clean and kitchen was well stocked. I loved the open design of the kitchen. It made the whole area feel more spacious. The rooms were very comfortable. Bathrooms were large and modernized tastefully.It was a short walk to the square which we enjoyed a lot. Hiking and historic sites were close by. We had a wonderful stay. I look forward to a return visit and would be what to stay here again. Thank you so much for sharing your home.

A warm and charming home in a quiet neighborhood that is easily walkable to the Dahlonega town square. And great porches front and rear to sit and enjoy morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or just hang with friends

Beautiful cottage within walking distance of downtown. Quiet street and delightful host! I would definitely book this place again if I come back to town!

Cutest little cottage! Loved the decor! Had everything we needed. Very quiet location, yet only three blocks from downtown. Enjoyed the front porch swing & watching the sunrise. Would stay again! ♥️ Dahlonega is a delightful town. Gorgeous area to watch the trees change for Autumn!

Darling Cottage in Dahlonega

We were in town for a wedding and found this cottage to be perfect. Great location in quiet residential neighborhood. Convenient to town. Cottage was clean and all new appliances. Property manager was helpful and prompt with communication. Would stay here again.

Great location, newly renovated house

The house is obviously newly renovated. The house is small but very nicely done. The location can’t be beat! A short walk to the center of Dahlonega and shops and restaurants while being located in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this house!

A Dahlonega Christmas Visit

The "Gold in the Hills" cottage is exactly as advertised. A charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage in downtown Dahlonega. Totally refurbished and very cute, it is located mere minutes from the historic sguare in a quiet residential neighborhood. Beds are comfortable, the master shower is amazing, a cozy, quiet cottahe to get away!

Walkable to DT Dahlonega

We’ve made several trips to this area but this was our first stay close to downtown. It was so nice to be able to walk to restaurants and shops. And the bonus was, we happened to be there for the Bear on the Square festival! It was sooo nice to not have to struggle for parking!! The house was well equipped with everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean.

Enchanting Cottage

The very best location, clean & perfect for a weekend or extended stay. Stocked with many extras with the newest coffee shop called Blue 42 up the street and around the corner walking distance to activities & shopping in public square. Return to a coffee on the back porch with the birds, squirrels & relaxing scenery. Highly Recommend!

My Mom, 78 and friend 76 (both still in good shape) all had a blast in the cutest little house. Decorated in the cutest way, love the Christmas tree, great area. The ladies say maybe add a handrail for the porch steps and a rail in the shower maybe? Couldn't have had a better experience! Thanks! Della

Positively Perfect

Wow!! It looks just like the pictures and it was perfect for my family. The house was super clean and so cute. The master shower was amazing as well as the mattresses on both beds. It was so close to the little downtown area and close to the University of North Georgia. The communication from Suches was nothing short of amazing and they kept in touch all the way up until we arrived. The record player in the living room was awesome, along with some very good records to play. There were TVs in both bedrooms and the living room. We were so pleased with our stay and can't wait to go back.

The house is in a great location walking distance to the Dahlonega town square, which has lots of shops and restaurants. We highly recommend Spirits and Shenanigans! The house was very clean and quiet. We appreciated the comfortable beds and good lighting in the bathrooms. We did have a few issues.- The house description indicates that each guest would receive two towels, and that there were extra in the cabinets. We only received one towel and one washcloth per person, and there were no extra towels. I checked with the property manager, who said the cleaning service had run out of towels, and that we should just wash the ones we had. The towels we did have were quite worn.- We also had some issues with the thermostat, which was adjustable, but it would not hold a setting and we couldn't find any instructions. - The water pressure in the showers was ok, although the water never got very hot (even though it was hot in the sinks). - The kitchen was fairly well-stocked with all kinds of utensils, although it would be nice to have more than one saucepan. Finally, the yard was quite overgrown, and there were a lot of dead sticks in the yard and on the back porch. The house was a good value, and it would have received five stars if not for these issues. I hope the owners work with the property manager to address them.
