Building 36F

The unit was conveniently located for our needs. For the most part, it was clean except for the floor throughout the unit was dirty (based on my white socks). Additionally, the sofa and chairs were very stained, worn and very uncomfortable.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As our families first trip to the ocean we were super excited. We arrived at the condo which was clean and cute, we unpacked then went to grocery store. When we came back there were a few bugs crawling around being in the hot climate it is expected but they kept coming. We immediately called the office and they got back to us within minutes. Helped us get into a different place (which was a bit of an upgrade) We were happy that they handled it quick and didn't stop until they found us a new place.. Sad that the first 2 days of are trip we wasted dealing with all this but in the end we enjoyed the last 4 days and we were happy with the new place.. Thanks again for the non stop help

Aimee, Thanks for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the issues you had at check in! While we have each of our condos inspected regularly and sprayed for pests, unfortunately with shared walls in a condo building, you cannot control what your neighbors do. Great location, not the best condo

Thank you for your review of the condo. We strive to provide the best experience possible for our guests and are sorry to hear about the smoke smell in this condo. To our knowledge, this condo hasn't been smoked in and has a strict non-smoking policy. Often times the common outdoor smoking areas can cause smoke to get inside condos if a slider door is open on a nice night. Either way, we would like to provide an update on this condo. Based on your feedback and that of another guest this summer, the condo owner has decided to provide several updates to the condo including new appliances, paint and several new pieces of furniture. We invite you to view these updates on the condo's newly posted photos on the landing page.

Tired unit, needs much updating

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our unit was so poorly equipped that management had to restock every piece of cooking equipment. I personally had to purchase glassware, All cutlery and cutlery drawers were filthy, I had to buy a scrubbie and clean them and then run everything through the dishwasher before I would use them. There was no dishcloth or towel to clean the counters, I bought them. No cleaning cloths for bathroom sinks or counters. Baseboards were dirty, porch screen door had broken screen, 4 light fixtures had no working bulbs. Microwave had the insides scorched and lining gone. Management quickly replaced screening, light bulbs , new microwave and new pots and pans, they were very helpful in that respect. The entire complex had disastrous roads with huge bumps and potholes . Location was great and far from the very busy grand strand at the beach., close to good golfing and eating.

Dear Guest, It is our goal to provide the best possible vacation for each and every one of our guests as you can see from how quickly we responded to each request during your stay. As you will recall form your visit to our office in which you praised how attentive we were to your requests, you stated it was your intention to “recommend us” positively for this. Unfortunately, a couple of the pots and pans had a burned cooking residue that was missed by our cleaner who spent 4 hours preparing for your arrival after a 6 month winter rental check out the day before. These were promptly replaced as well as some light bulbs and a coffee maker from 3 separate trips to local retailers to purchase them. Additionally, more than 4 wine glasses were requested for the unit after your purchase of some additional glasses on your own, then reporting this after the fact. Visits to our office were made 3 days in a row to make special requests. However, you are correct in that the condo, which is someone's vacation home did have some small things missed. As for needing updating, the condo was painted and brand new appliances added in the past year. Thanks again for your feedback.

My Stay at Beachstar Properties

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My stay was comfortable. The unit was spacious and clean with all the creature comforts of home. We were wonderfully located with the pool right right outdide the back door and minutes away from so many activities, i.e. restaurants, the beach, shopping and water parks. My only criticism would be to update the units a bit, i.e furniture, and appliances. However, I would recommend Beachstar Properties to my friends and family members.

Needs some TLC

Had a several issues when we arrived. Manger was good about contacting but really only solved one issue. The unit needs a good cleaning and needs to be updated. Lacking in the kitchen if you like to cook your own meals, so be prepared. Provided sheets for pull out sofa, but no blanket, so be prepared. With just a small amount of effort this would be a great place to return to because the location is great and the area is quiet. Would return in a pinch, but nothing else.

Hi Sonya, Thanks for your feedback. I wanted to first off apologize that the unit was not properly stocked with the blanket for the sleeper sofa. Often those blankets end up getting moved into closets in the master bedrooms or even accidentally being sent to out with the linens and then not making it back to the units as they should. I understand your frustration with that and kitchen items not being fully stocked. Also, I would agree that the condo does need some updating, which it is set to have as soon as the summer rush season ends here. I would love to have the opportunity to make it right for you! In the future, I would be happy to offer you a free night's stay for your troubles at any of our 40 or so vacation rental units. Sincerely, Beach Star Property Management

Beautiful property with above average accommodations amazing st

The condo was very will kept, could use some upgrades in the kitchen and living room but it was very comfortable. The distance to the beach was very convenient as was the Denny's next to the entrance. The staff is amazing! We had a couple minor issues that were addressed immediately and appropriately. Everyone in the office was very friendly and professional it was a pleasure to deal with them. We will be staying with Beachstar on all our Myrtle Beach vacations.

I have never stayed in a place I felt I needed to clean when I arrived. This condo I felt like I had to wipe down the kitchen and bathrooms. The condo had an overall "not very clean" feel. The outlets in neither bathroom worked and the light in the main bedroom closet flickered on and off. The kitchen was very sparsely stocked with what I would consider necessary supplies such as a cutting board and hand beater.

A nice out of the way family place

Each section had their own pool so there wasn't 50 people trying to swim in the pool.Everything including the yards,condo, pool was clean. No need to bring anything for the kitchen unless you need something special. We will definitely stay again and have already recommended to friends.

The place suited our needs for the week

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was nice and bigger than expected. It had a screened in porch overlooking the pool. It came with a fridge, stove/oven, dishwasher. The A/C worked well during the hot days. The pool was clean and refreshing. I was a a little surprised that the water was salty. There were some things that could use some improving or were not working. There was an outlet in the main bedroom that was not working. The GCFI outlet in the main bathroom was not working (press the reset and it buzzed/popped back out) so we had to stretch our hair drier from around the corner to use it which wasn't easy. Some of the glasses and dishware was dirty. There was a musty smell as my wife had mentioned prior that we couldn't determine the source of nor could remove in the main bedroom. The main bedroom TV was set up for Spanish. I had to get it to English and set up the cable channels. The second bedroom's cable connection had to be corrected by me. There was a connector between the main cable in and another cable that lead to the TV. It came off of the main cable. I had to get the braided wiring pealed back and had to screw the connector back into place. Then I had to reset the channels for that TV as well. There was a missing TV remote. The top of the fridge was dirty. The main tub had a hairy clog which I had to clean up. Management hours were spotty.
