This house was perfect for our family vacation! It was clean and extremely well appointed. The layout worked well for four couples and four children ages three and under. Everyone had their own space and was very comfortable. The host had all items needed in the kitchen, paper and cleaning products to get started and even provided hand soap in each bathroom as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The outside area was great, we used the grill most nights and enjoyed the pool each day. We loved the location of the house as it was very close to shopping and restaurants. The host was very responsive whenever we had contacted him. All in all, it was a great week! We would definitely return to this property!

Four couples and four little ones under three is no small crew, and we love that everyone found their own comfortable corner! Grilling most nights and daily pool time sounds like the ideal vacation rhythm, especially with shopping and restaurants close by. So glad the home had you covered from the moment you walked in. Thank you for spending your family week with us, and we'd be thrilled to have you all back!

Shoreway Cove was Excellent!

Our family of 9 adults and 5 children had a wonderful weekend at Lake Norman thanks to the management of Avant Stay. The home was lovely, very clean with lots of room and a beautiful view of the Lake. Kitchen was well stocked with all we needed. Brittany was very helpful. She responded to our calls promptly with kindness and expertise. Pool and hot tub were a big hit with the kids as was fishing off the pier. Kayaks and paddleboards added to the lake experience and the grounds were well kept.

This house is advertised as a lake side property with a dock. When we rented a boat for the week, we were surprised when the marina told us that the dock was unusable. I know that your disclaimer says you can vouch for the level of the lake, but apparently that dock has been unusable for months if not the past year. You should not be promoting it as a house with a dock when that is inaccurate. Worse, I paid top dollar for the rental to have a lakeside house WITH A DOCK. If I had known there was no working dock, I would have rented another house. As it was, we could have rented any house with a pool in the middle of a subdivision. A useless dock is not what I was sold.

Thank you for taking the time to lay this out, and we're sorry the dock fell so short of what you expected — especially when it factored directly into why you chose this home and rented a boat for the week. That's a real disappointment, and your frustration is completely understandable. We've passed your feedback along to the team so the listing details and the dock itself get the attention they need. If you'd like to discuss the specifics of your stay further, we'd encourage you to reach out to our team directly so we can look into it properly.

Wedding weekend

Enjoyed our stay during the weekend of our son’s wedding. House is in an excellent location for getting around Huntersville. It has great spaces for gathering as well as cozy spaces for a little less mingling. Sons enjoyed the games; air hockey, ping pong, table shuffleboard, and pool. Great outdoor spaces as well which we were able to take advantage of due to the mild November weather. We agreed we’d like to come back to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool in warmer weather. Kitchen worked well for meals in and plenty of lovely bedrooms and bathrooms for the 8 of us. We all thought this was a great house. 👍

Great house! Although I agree it’s technically “lake front” there is very little view and the water is too shallow / murky to get a boat to the dock or swim. Otherwise, we loved the space, pool and all of the activities! The location is also a very convenient drive to Birkdale and lots of stores / restaurants.

It's also great to know the location is made for such a convenient drive to Birkdale and all the nearby shops and restaurants. We appreciate you sharing your honest notes about the lakefront, and we've passed them along to our team so we can keep setting the right expectations for future guests. The property was beautiful and fully stocked with everything we needed. My only concern is that the boat lift at the dock was raised and no one would lower it so we could dock a boat there.
