Great views and privacy, very relaxing getaway. I had no issues driving up but like others said, definitely 4WD/AWD and take it slow up the driveway. Would stay again

Heater warms that place up quick, the AC cools it quick. The hot tubs fill up fast and stay warm. The driveway is definitely an adventure, listen to the hosts recommendations of AWD or 4x4. Our dog loves roaming around, the hosts had dog treats and dog bowls everywhere we used for water and food. The kitchen is stocked with all the cook wear and anything you’d need. We missed the pool by 1 day, but still had a great time. The views are awesome. The only thing my wife suggested was possibly some more lighting for the night time (she’s scared of the dark) and was a bit skittish walking around and up and down between buildings in the dark but that’s not a problem if you exercise your 2nd amendment. We would stay here again.

This place is magical! If you love the rolling forested hills and seeing a pastel sunset for miles, then this should be on your list of places to stay. It has exactly what you need - simplicity and nature. It’s intended for those who plan to spend the time outdoors. You feel completely secluded up on the hillside, as if you own the view of the rolling hills. From all 3 levels, there’s a view worth spending time taking in. The driveway is steep, but manageable with the right vehicle, as the owner’s indicate. As the saying goes, “You can’t get the view from the top without doing the climb.” Steam away your cares in the sauna, feel alive in the cold plunge, and soak in the tub under the great big sky. Watch the fawns come down the hillside in the evening through the brush, and notice the birds all through the manzanita grove throughout the day. Soak in the southern Oregon sun from the loungers. Restoration awaits you at the Tiny Groove.

My husband and I spent the weekend here to celebrate our 12th anniversary. It’s such a special and unique little spot! We felt like we were in our own little world and yet were less than 10 minutes from town. It wasn’t warm enough for the pool, but we really enjoyed the soaking tubs. We will definitely be back!

What a gem of a getaway spot! Leaving all of lifes stresses behind is not a hard task to do when you are surrounded by relaxation and serenity. Moving about the property, there are so many relaxing options for unwinding. You can choose to relax on one of the decks, a netted bed, in the pool, in a tub all of which offer spectacular relaxing views. I will definitely return and have already recommended to friends.

We loved everything about our stay. The home was clean and everything worked as it should.Soaking tubs had a beautiful view of the mountains. The layout of the property made it fun to get around to the fireplace area and sauna room. We would definitely stay here again!

What a great little place! You can tell that a lot of love, planning and creating has gone into it. We were looking to get off grid and unwind. This house, even if it is "off-grid" still has a little bit of traffic noise (although it gets quieter as the day goes on). The bathtubs were relaxing. We didn't get to use the wood burning sauna for obvious reasons, but that is just a good excuse to return!

This is a special place. Seriously. You could look and look and you might never its equal. Probably not for absolutely everyone--and is this not just MORE upside? In a word: it's fun. Adventurous, totally private, surprisingly comfortable. The caveats really aren't warnings at all. It's a compound, not a single structure, and going repeatedly back & forth--up and down well-constructed outdoor stairs--from the 'kitchen house' to the 'sleeping house' and then to the soaking tub/sauna patio--this will help you get your steps in. Is that bad? Not if you ask me. The kitchen is cozy, and minimal, but you will easily be able to make simple meals. We stayed 5 days, and while we're particular about food, we only ate out for a total of three mealtimes. The fridge is more than large enough--think Europe, not dormroom. We did just a single shop (for two.)All the property's systems worked exactly as advertised for us. The listing says everything you need to know, and says it clearly. The place is off-grid. It's an arid location, and we visited in an historic drought. Still plenty of water! And while the pressure isn't high, this is not news, nor is it hardship. Did it take longer than 20 minutes to fill the tubs? Yes, a bit, but fill up they did. Also: every gallon of that water (of the 300 or so) was just as hot as you could want.Suffice to say: the raves here get it right. The beefing about the driveway? Waah. In VT, we call this 'having a driveway'. Oh, and the host was awesome.

Host communication was fantastic, easy check-in process, clean property. Plunge pool was the thing that saved us from overheating on this trip in August, so a great amenity. Unfortunately, I booked the wrong time of year to be able to enjoy the beautiful soaking tubs, sauna, and fireplace. We had multiple issues arise some were out of control of owner and she did her very best to fix them as soon as possible and make us comfortable in the high heat. That was much appreciated. Only issue I can’t stress enough is that driveway. Be aware when they say awd or 4wd that you listen. Someone previous to us staying did not and tore the hell out of the middle section of that driveway. The new gravel that is laid needed to be compacted much better than it was and in not doing so previous person made it near impossible for our F-350 even in 4wd to make it up. We weren’t going to leave the property after the first attempt up but had no a/c so we had to leave since we had two dogs with us. After that was resolved and upon returning, our truck just could not grab traction and was pulled right off the edge since it was loose gravel. So, head warning. We are now dealing with a headache of an insurance claim and getting our truck fixed because of the negligence of making sure that was repaired before anyone was traveling it. Even the tow truck company wouldn’t travel past it. That says something. A beautiful place to relax if that major issue is resolved.

I’m sorry about the issues with the air conditioning. The heat wave in the triple digits coupled with some wildfire smoke put quite a strain on our solar powered system. We have made some adjustments to fix this in the future. The driveway can be a bit of an adventure. We do try to keep up on regular maintenance on it as best we can. This is definitely the first time anyone had this much trouble with the road. As you mentioned we make it very clear we require guests to have an AWD vehicle to reach the home safely. Hopefully the full refund we offered shows that we care and want to make our guests as comfortable and happy as possible.

A gem of a place in a peaceful setting. Surrounded by nothing but nature. A simple Kitchenette that provides enough to cook with. The bedroom container is comfortable and provides a great view We thoroughly enjoyed then plunge pool and soaking tubs. Nice to relax under the umbrella on a hot day. Be sure to bring shower essentials as they are not provided. The driveway is no joke. It is steep as they say so be sure to have all wheel drive or 4x4. Christine is super responsive and helpful. Will definitely keep this on the list of wonderful getaway places. 100 percent recommend.
