We enjoyed our stay. Sail Port is a nice place to stay when visiting Tampa Bay. The unit was lovely and nicely equipped. There were some issues, but I reported them immediately to the unit manager, and they were taken care of swiftly.

We stay at Sailport Resort several nights throughout the year to visit family. We decided to book through VRBO this time instead of direct as it was more cost effective. Another bonus is this unit was very tastefully decorated over other Sailport units. Newer appliances, newer furniture, newer kitchen updates, a fireplace, ceiling fans in both living room and bedroom, etc. The unit is beautiful! The view is amazing! This unit is one of the closest to the water. We watched people catch fish from the pier right from our balcony! We enjoyed the personal touches like a snack basket and coffee station. The host has some games in the unit to fill a rainy morning or afternoon. A nice surprise was the beach chairs and a large cooler are in the bedroom closet! Perfect for travelers who fly and can't bring their own. A state park with beach access is just minutes away. The on site sandy area has no water access as it's a rocky point. Every evening after sunset -gorgeous by the way- there is a propane firepit with comfy Adirondack chairs await you on the beach which gets turned off at 10pm. The on-site restaurant is delicious with a fresh menu and cocktails. Or you can save money and prepare your own meals. The unit has several spices which is a nice bonus. There is an outdoor grill on the sandy beach as well. The host was always just a text away if there are any concerns or questions. Would definitely stay in this updated unit again the next time we need to visit Tampa!

I’m sorry to say the stay started off with a few challenges and there were construction supplies in the hallway. The team was very responsive and tried to help resolve all the issues within the first day. I just think the “rental prep” list needs to be enhanced. Once everything was operational, we had no further issues. The view is nice, the balcony is a plus and the resort amenities good. Great communication before and during the stay.

The property was OK, but we were disappointed in the size of the condo. There was damage to the kitchen floor. Our overall experience was good.
