Perfect spot for a quick overnight on our way from Boston to Acadia with young kids. They loved exploring the treehouse, and there are several excellent coffee/cafe/breakfast spots nearby before hitting the road again. So happy we stayed here in Bath!

We had a very brief one night stay. It was what we expected, parking spot was easy in & out. We arrived after dark, the home & address were hard to see in the dark. But Google was very helpful in pin pointing the right home! We would recommend this to others.

as advertised! a minimal but perfectly adequate and quaint stopover for us on our trip. walking distance from the center of an adorable maine town, too. the bedrooms were spacious and comfy, the host was accommodating and communicative, and our trip was made easier by the quality of our temporary lodging.

Cozy upstairs apartment in a pretty and welcoming neighborhood. Very clean with an easy check-in. Convenient location that was close to downtown, shopping, and restaurants. My family had a wonderful visit to celebrate my son's birthday. The host responded to communication very quickly when questions came up. Would stay again!

Beautiful spot. Plenty of room for a family of four (our two boys shared a queen bed) and they loved the treehouse. Really clean and cute place. Used the fridge and coffee maker (thanks for the complimentary coffee!!). Dimitri not only allowed an early check in, but made the fridge available really early in the day which helped our lack of a cooler situation! Beautiful place right downtown.

Reasonable price. Due to the stairs leading to the unit I wouldn’t recommend for older individuals. If you just want to catch a nights sleep it’s a good place but not inviting to sit, talk and relax.

We were satisfied with The Captains House. It provided what we needed for one night - a bed and a bathroom/shower. I will say that going up the outdoors was a bit treacherous because one of the steps is loose. There were also vines growing up onto the steps of which my suitcase wheel got snared up in. I had texted Dmitri on the morning of our check-out asking if we might delay our check out by one hour so we could go to church and not have to pack up. We never did receive a reply...so we packed up. We appreciated all of the fans in the bedrooms making the temperature very comfortable.

This location was just as described. Great location if you have kids because the rooms arent next to each other so noise isn't an issue. Walking distance to main street, our 4 year old was even able to scooter there no issues that's how close it is. Also right next to a cheap little breakfast spot. There's no sink as advertised, but there is stuff to clean dishes with. Host was super nice about early check in and the neighbors were very nice as well. We spent 3 nights here and we're satisfied!

This unit should only be rented in the summer. There is one SPACE heater for 5 separate rooms. The pictures show baseboard radiators throughout the apt. Upon arrival the place was cold, with no ability to turn heat on. After receiving no response from host after 4 inquiries, VRBO was called. The VRBO platform called host but he did not answer the call. Posting states electric heater in details of rental. It fails to mention there is only one SPACE heater for entire place. We never took our coats off while inside the unit. When host finally communicated with us, his responses were rude. He accused us of drinking. The truth is my sister and I drank about 4 oz of wine while waiting for his response to our concern. I had to wash the glasses we used since they were not clean. The host also wrote that he heard a lot of noise in the apartment and we should leave. I guess he expected us to whisper since the only noise was conversational voices. In one of his responses he stated that the temp was 40 degrees outside that night. I have a screenshot of the weather that indicates a temp of 35 degrees. I would attach the screenshot but I see no way to carry out that action. I will not delineate his further dishonest statements. We had to leave since it was too cold to stay. I recommend no one rent this place expect in the summer. We ended up staying at the Residence Inn by Marriot, which was lovely.

Great location and price, comfortable, clean house. Dmitri was responsive and very easy to deal with. Easy check in and out. I’d stay here again, but there is no kitchen and no way to cook. Luckily the food in Bath was outstanding! For our short stay we didn’t miss the kitchen too much.

This was a helpful pit stop after a wedding for our family of 4. The beds were very comfortable. My husband needs a firm mattress for his back, and this one fit the bill. The apartment was clean and in pretty good shape. It is not a full kitchen, but we didn’t expect it because it is well documented in the write up the sitting area would’ve been a little more comfortable with a couch, but I can see how the space might be too small to accommodate one. Overall we were very happy.

Great location and interesting layout in this historic house. It was the perfect respite for our stay before our puffin tour the next day and close to town for a concert on the common and restaurants. Note : to access one of the bedrooms you need to go through the bathroom, but it worked out fine. Dmitri was super communicative and was kind enough to let us know we left a pair of shoes there after we departed. Since we were still in the area, he left them on the porch for us to retrieve, which we appreciated.

Captain's House

One night stay. Property was as described in listing, I just did not read the details very well. Property has no stove or kitchen sink. Owner had windows open and fans running prior to our arrival, which was good because it was pretty warm that day. Owner greeted us as we arrived. If you are looking for a place to lay your head at night, and is close to town amenities, this could work for you. be aware, no A/C so in hot weather could be uncomfortable.
