This was my first visit to Oaxaca with friends. The area, which is adjacent to the zocolo was about a 20 minute walk or about a 3 cab ride. Quiet neighborhood with a wonderful coffee shop just to the right once you exit the front door of the property. Brandon will make you fabulous coffee and you can see local artists' work in his cafe. It's charming. His friend, an art professor at the University, has a gallary just across the street. Our host answered every question we had and was available to answer any questions while staying in his rental. Fabulous experience in a magnificent city.

Ricardo is a great host, very helpful. The apartment is very comfortable with many thoughtful touches. The location is fantastic, with all the attractions of Jalatlaco right outside, and an easy walk into Oaxaca Centro.

The apartment is in the lovely neighborhood of Jalatlaco, with pretty streets and shops and good places to eat. Bc of who was staying with me, I needed 3 full bathrooms and this one fit the bill. But it also had cleaning service every week, free refills on drinking water, replacement on paper products, a hair dryer, AND ac units in every bedroom! First time ever for that! Ricardo messaged me every week to make sure that we had what we needed. Even added an extra bed in one of the bedrooms. Lovely, clean apartment! Helpful host! A little pricey, but with so many extras! Would definitely book again!

Very nice neat 3 bedroom 3 bath apartment with a porch and easy access. Communication was excellent and the unit met all of our needsLocation very safe with 15 walk into downtown

Clean, quiet and comfortable property in the central neighbourhood of Jalatlaco. Very responsive property manager. The only problem I had is that as Canadians, with limited cell service at times, we don’t always get the check-in codes and information on time.

Perfect

This was our first time visiting Oaxaca. We were very pleased with Ricardo’s place. Clean. Had everything we needed. Very safe and fun neighborhood.

Sweet place with inner patio

We stayed in a group so rented the whole building of three apartments. It worked out well to know everyone staying there the beds were comfortable and Ricardo was very accommodating.

Very nice apartment in great location

We really enjoyed staying in this property. The apartment was very nice and well-furnished and matched the listing well. The location is great for being able to walk to the centro district for the zocalo and mercados, or just around Jalatlaco where there are some great cafes plus vibrant street art. I recommend it for your stay in Oaxaca City!I also had a great experience working with the property owner, he was very communicative and I felt very attended to.

The property was perfect. My family of 5 plus a baby really enjoyed it. It was spacious, has everything that you need. Like a refrigerator, a stove, microwave and provides with 5 gallons water bottles.

Hidden Gem

This property was an amazing find in a great neighborhood! My husband and I stayed with another couple, we had plenty of space. The apartment was clean, the host was very responsive and helpful. We were in walking distance to the city center and had easy access to the taxi service. This was our first time out n Mexico, we will definitely visit Oaxaca again and stay here again!

Beautiful place, great neighbourhood.

I stayed for 6 nights and explored Oaxaca city and the surrounding area. This place was perfectly located in the artsy area of the city. There is not a ton of natural light in the main room and middle bedroom, but I stayed in the room with lots of light facing the front entrance and it was duvine. It was great having a kitchen and coffee pot for saving on eating out! But eat out a little as the food in Oaxaca is amazing.

Beautiful neighborhood and wonderful place for up to 5 people to stay

A lovely place in a AMAZING neighborhood. Two very large BR's (one with private bath, the other is right next to living room bath); and one very small BR with private bath. The two large BR's would be perfect for couples; the small BR was really too small for a couple to stay in comfortably. Host (Ricardo) was incredibly responsive and helpful to our needs. The apartment was very private and quiet except for when people in the downstairs unit were socializing outside on their patio (and when parades/celebrations were going on--but that's anywhere in Oaxaca!!) Patio with table, chairs, and hammock is private and doesn't have much of a view. Would TOTALLY stay here again!

Great apartment, great location

We stayed in this apartment as a family of 4 for 4 weeks. It was very comfortable and we loved the neighborhood. It was a bit of a hike with a 7 and 5 year old to walk to the historic center; but we could do it. Two great parks nearby. Friendly neighbors. Accommodating and available property manager. There are just a couple little things I would recommend improving for long stays 1) the stove wasn’t firing at full capacity on all the burners and we weren’t sure how to work the oven, or if it worked. 2) the screens doors didn’t move and were not sealed at the bottom - not ideal for mosquitos. I’m sure the property owner will update these items. We did not complain about them at the time. He was very responsive to our other requests.

A perfect Oaxaca home and host

This excellent three-bedroom, three-bath home is, imo, the perfect place to stay when visiting Oaxaca. Located in the neighborhood of Jalatlaco, a colorful and funky barrio just a fifteen-minute walk to Centro and the Santo Domingo church, it was clean, spacious, attractive, comfortable, well laid out, and secure. A great base that is close to all that beautiful Oaxaca has to offer. Host Ricardo was easy to communicate with and attentive to every request. Full marks all around for a place I would certainly stay at again on my next trip to this amazing city.

Perfect place

The location in Jalatlaco was excellent. Easy to walk everywhere we needed to. The place was very clean with tastful art on the walls. The host was always responsive to every request for assistance. Recommending restaurants and even called a cab for us to go to airport. We would stay here again and recommend to friends as well.

Great Appartment and Location

We were 4 family members visiting Oaxaca for the first time. We were very pleased with the amenities of the property and the location in Jalatlaco was great with lots to do and see in the neighborhood. And a ten minute walk to el centro ( downtown). Would definitely stay here again. Ricardo was very attentive and met our needs promptly. Saludos !

Beautiful apartment in an amazing neighborhood

Our family of 5 traveled to Oaxaca to study Spanish for 2 weeks. This apartment was the perfect amount of space for us. It is close to many cafes and restaurants but the neighborhood is also super quiet for being so close to the center of the city. There is a lavanderia one block from the apartment and Mercado Merced is only a few blocks away for all your shopping needs. Ricardo was kind and available for anything we needed for the apartment. We would absolutely stay here again!
