This place has amazing potential & I would stay here again. Unfortunately, I think things could have been better. *The pros - this log cabin is really cool. It is in a remote location. We had a fox in the yard. Then of course there is the Hoback river just a short walk away. The bed was big & comfy. *The cons (maybe not all cons, but things future guests may want to know). Overall, the communication was poor. Arrival instructions said look for deck chairs; there were no chairs when we arrived. Inside there were no instructions like there have been in every other rental we'd used - do this, don't do this, this is how you use this, etc. There was a sheet of paper inside w/ be bear aware instructions & 2 phone #s. I texted both of the numbers upon our 6 pm arrival & sent a message through the VRBO app. I did not hear back until the next day. When Morgan did reach out, she was extremely helpful & answered my questions (how to get down to the river, how to turn down the heat, no east bedroom curtains & asking if we could get chairs). The next morning, she did bring the chairs which we used daily. There is a Trager grill, but we didn't know how to use it/see supplies for it. This cabin is a good 12-15 minutes on gravel & also an hour from Jackson. I do think some info says that, but I didnt take that into account & an hour one way to run into town for supper/shopping just wasn't for us. I think if you knew all this ahead of time, IT IS a great little cabin & we still enjoyed it!
