The Ranch@Fredericksburg - The Blue Bonnet - 2BD/2BA

This luxurious boutique cabin (one of 3) is located in the heart of the Fredericksburg wine country. This cabin is located on a 26-acre ranch on a beautiful hilltop about 6 miles outside of Fredericksburg. We have a horse and three donkeys that guests can pet. Our guests love the fabulous views and sunsets, the quiet serenity, and the well-thought-out cabin amenities. We look forward to hosting you at the Ranch!

The space:
Life at The Ranch will leave you relaxed and wishing you booked a longer stay! Enjoy the vibrant sunsets from our hilltop cabins while enjoying a glass of wine, or go into town and shop and dine at many of the boutique stores and authentic German restaurants and many trendy restaurants Fredericksburg has to offer. In the cabin, we have tried to think of every detail possible to ensure you enjoy your stay. Feel free to walk our gorgeous land, where you will see our horse and donkeys, the neighbors' cows, sheep, and goats, and even wild deer at dusk and dawn. If there is anything we can do to improve your stay, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Guest access:
If you tour the property, please note the pool and hot tub area are for the guests in the main house only - please do not go inside the wood-gated area around the house. You may tour all of the rest of our property. We have neighbors on either side of our 26 acres - please be respectful of their property and fences.

Very clean cabin. Friendly host. We had a great stay with no issues at all. Will stay here again. We came for the car show in Luckenbach pulling our car trailer and there was plenty of room to park our trucks and trailers.

this cabin is so cute and location is great for the price point! however the fan in the left bedroom only had two speeds (high or off); the shower head in the bathroom on the left was too low flow; the living room furniture was pretty uncomfortable; and the biggest issue was we were asked to wash and dry dishes but there were no sponges or drying mats so we had to get our own sponges at the store.

The location of the property was great! It was quiet and the sunsets were beautiful. Check in and check out process was very easy. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting in the porch in he evening watching the sunset and the wildlife in the pasture. The 2nd day we were there, the AC quit and when we returned that evening, the house was close to 100 degrees. We immediately notified the host, Jan. She tried to get someone out to look at it, but couldn’t find anyone. We were able to get it started again, but took almost 4 hours to register a tampon the thermostat and 6 hours after that to get back to 72. It was a hot night. We went about our activities the next day and got a notice from Jan stating we didn’t have electricity. I responded back to her inquiring if we needed to find another place to stay and we got response 3 hours stating she didn’t know about the electricity since we were the only ones who reported an outage. (We never reported any outage). Her communications were very confusing and her responses were very slow. We were thinking she may have gotten us confused with other guests at another property? A day after we returned home from our trip, I received a message from her husband asking why we moved the hot water heater. We never saw a hot water heater, nor would we have moved it. We were on a girls trip and I can’t imagine in any situation why we would have needed to ever look at it or move it. It was a weird situation.

Good space and location

Excellent location, good place. Only problem was lack of communication leading up to the stay - we received no check in instructions. Once we got there and reached out, we got the instructions and the rest of the stay was great.

Relaxing Stay

A very peaceful and cozy stay. The cabin was roomy and surprisingly furnished with king size beds in each bedroom, the beds were also very comfortably. I enjoyed drinking my coffee out on the cover porch. The location was perfect, not to far from town but far enough for a quiet and peaceful stay.

Great ranch stay

Had a great time staying here to go to wineries - good middle distance from wineries and fredricksburg. Ubers/lyfts were able to find us without too much trouble! Great clean spot and loved feeding the animals carrots! Thanks for having us :)

Girls Weekend

Loved the location and proximity to town. Super comfy beds and plenty of room for three ladies to enjoy a weekend get away. The kitchen area was perfect for light snack, coffee and cocktails.

Wine Country Weekend

We were very impressed with the accommodations. Very quiet with 3 cottages built on part of a ranch. We were in cottage #1 with 2 bedrooms and a common gathering area with a kitchenette. Perfect for 2 couples meeting for a weekend in the Hill Country wine country. One surprise I wasn’t expecting was the nighttime views from the front porch. The cottages are located up a very subtle hill which provides a sweeping view of the landscape. At night it is very dark with some of the lights of town visible in the distance. The owners were very responsive to text messages and emails.

Bluebonnet cabin

The cabin was cozy and clean. Everything was comfortable, and it was fun to be out in the country with cattle, horses, donkeys, and other livestock! My only comment is that there were a few minor things that weren't working (light bulbs, USB chargers... very minor), and outdoor solar lights and the web site should be updated to say that there really is not a kitchen. There is only a small, apartment-sized refrigerator, no stove, etc. We should have known from the pictures, but didn't pick up on that. Perhaps additional pictures, or better description? Also, the website makes it sound like there's a pool, but it cant be used except by guests at that cabin. However, we really enjoyed our stay, and the cabin. It was so cozy! The linens and towels were high quality and plenty of them. There was coffee, creamers and sugar for us.to use. The property owner was always pleasant to talk to, and tries to be helpful. Thanks, Jan!

Lovely cottage with beautiful views

The cottage was very nice and beds were very comfy! It was very cold and windy during our visit so we weren't able to spend time outside feeding and petting the donkeys and horses so perhaps we'll schedule another visit. Great rural location.

Perfect cabin to visit Fredericksburg

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. It is located near enough to Fredericksburg to allow us to go into town in a short drive. It was far enough from town that the stars at night were amazing. We loved sitting out on the patio with the lights out. We will definitely book again.

Wonderful Family Stay!

We really enjoyed our time at this peaceful property. Our kids especially loved all the friendly animals. The stay was exactly as described and we hope to return soon!

Perfect Location for all Hill Country offerings

Hidden Gem

We both needed a place to relax and take a breath and Rose Ranch did not disappoint ! The cabin was clean, spacious, well kept and the property was amazing. I hope Darrel didn’t develop a tummy ache from all of the carrots that we fed him. We watched a beautiful deer family complete with a Fallow Buck every evening..The beds were very comfortable. Communication was great. We will definitely come back.
