This was a great location for visiting sites in Washington, DC. We used Uber for transportation, and each ride cost about 10–15 one way, with travel times around 10 minutes to downtown attractions. The place was clean, accurately represented in the photos, and located in a neighborhood that felt safe. Considering how expensive accommodations in DC can be, this was an excellent value for the location. We were very happy with our stay. The host was always quick to respond and took great care of us throughout our visit.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and exactly as described. Within walking distance to several restaurants. Would recommend! Would stay here again.

This was the perfect location for my conference at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City; just less than a 5 minute walk across the street. The apartment was very clean, bed and pillows were super comfortable, plenty of coffee and tea for our long weekend stay, and AC worked great. My communication with Kristin was great; she was readily available with questions and was really friendly. The apartment we got was on the basement level so there were a few steps from the free parking lot to the main entrance door and another 4-5 steps down to the apartment. It’s an older building so we heard people staying above us walking but there’s a sound machine in the bedroom that helped and it was a nice touch. Area was safe and there’s a yummy Indian restaurant which was next to the building and a park across the street. Would stay here again!

Perfect Base Camp for a DC Visit with a Car

The flat was beautifully decorated, and all of the necessities plus many extras were provided by our host Laurence. We particularly appreciated the white noise machine, although it was a quiet, peaceful neighborhood anyway, and the Nespresso machine with plenty of pods. Drip coffee was available too, plus a nice selection of herbal and traditional teabags. Our host left us a nice welcome snack, too. There are a few stairs, which was absolutely fine for us. We were always able to find a parking spot in the property's lot, and our Uber drivers typically met us just across the street with no issues. We used the metro once, and it was an easy, safe walk at night. We also located a nearby grocery store and pharmacy. We had everything we needed to prepare meals in the flat's kitchen, and we walked to Enjira restaurant one evening for a delicious Ethiopian dinner. There seemed to be some nice Mediterranean quick service places and also some nicer Italian restaurants within an easy walk, too. Laundry was available in the building, although we didn't need to use it. Also, very little was asked of us at check-out, which was a breath of fresh air for us newcomers on our first VRBO stay after some pretty extensive to-do lists at Air B&B properties. We would definitely return to stay here again and would recommend it for other small groups, as well.

The property did what we needed it to do for a 23 night stay. The laundry machines are not in the unit and are 5 for a full load. This is a small apartment building where 5-6 of the units are VRBOs so you will see people frequently checking in and out. There is ample parking. The host responds fairly quickly but does not always have a fix for your issues. For example in the last week of our stay the Internet was inconsistent. The host responded and told us to unlock another VRBO in the building and unplug the modem. Also, the AC works great. You can get the room to 60 degrees, but it comes with a dampness that requires you to turn the AC off from time to time to get rid of. Overall if we stayed for 3-6 nights, we would not of noticed 80% of these issues.
