Relaxing, private and beautifully simple in a prime location

Our stay at Russell Cabin was exactly what we were looking for. The location is perfect and very private. The cabin is rustic and so lovely. We loved the simple life we lived on our short stay. It is very close to hocking hills trails and has plenty of great things to see right at the property. We hope to return very soon.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The property was so beautiful and relaxing. The cabin could have been a little cleaner the floor was not very clean. Also I would highly recommend a dehumidifier for this cabin it was very moist and smelled very musty the whole time.

This was a very nice rustic cabin. The location was fantastic! Extremely close to Ash Cave. And centrally located to the rest of the park. The only negative is that the front door was difficult to open and close. It was sticking. But this would not prevent us from renting this cabin again. The view was very nice! The hot tub was clean and in great shape! Check in was a breeze! Worth renting!

Very nice cabin

Overall this is a great cabin with minor tweaks would make it perfect. Things that need improved, TV is too small to watch in the living room, just put it in the room and it desperately needs a speaker bar. Give the cabin some love, new paint, gutters need cleaned, windows need fixed, glass in door is missing, door won't shut right. It's nice overall but it's long overdue for some love and upgrades. I feel almost everything in there is older than me lol. Small things, but pretty good overall!

The location was excellent, advertised included items missing or few.

The location between Hocking State park and State Forest was fantastic. Our first day was very hot & humid, we were thankful for the AC. On VRBO shampoo and "soaps" were included. There was no shampoo & the only soap provided was hand soap.The towels are VERY worn & threadbare. Only 1 coffee filter was included, dusting of the mantel & shelves in the kitchen is needed. We loved the screened in porch, (some screens need repaired) & the deer in yard.

Great cabin, needs a little attention, but very worthwhile

The quiet. Now, some negatives: Most of the dishes that were out (by the TV, or hanging on the wall) were dirty and required washing before using. Watch out for the rug by the kitchen sink, it is a tripping hazard.

Very relaxing and comfortable stay.

The cabin was super clean, very cozy, and had great modern conveniences. We loved that there was AC, as we stayed during the hottest time of year, 98 degrees! We loved how rustic the cabin Is while also still having modern conveniences. The firepit in the cave was the reason we booked this cabin and only used it once due to the heat, but it was so neat! We weren't too far from stores, parks, eateries, and other attractions, but still set far back in the woods away from everything.

Absolutely Heaven on Earth

We loved everything about our stay. The cabin was perfect. The cave was beyond amazing. We loved the hot tub and absolutely everything here. Will book again and again

The cabin was absolutely perfect. The hot tub was perfect upon arrival, if we had any questions the hosts responded almost immediately, and the location was great being right by Ash Cave and not far away from Le Petit Chevalier vineyards. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect get away and a secluded cabin!

For the most part the cabin was good. The cabin is an original so you have to take that into consideration. It’s more like clamping. There is a trail there that you can hike on. We absolutely loved that part.

Fantastic time. Very quiet and off the beaten path, but relatively close to Hocking Hills hiking trails. Be sure to check out the marked trail on the property that crosses the creek. Hottub was nice. There are a few minor maintenance/property issues that need addressed. Overall, it was very nice.

Great secluded location and the hot tub was the main perk for booking. Loved the serene views and feeling of no people around. The cabin itself was poorly stocked with basic equipment, threadbare towels, broken and chipped kitchen utensils and rusty pots and pans. All of the furniture was poorly thrifted and either non functional, falling apart or uncomfortable.

Cozy and secluded, the perfect cabin getaway!

We loved the rustic feel of the cabin. The fireplace added the extra fun environment to make it so cozy. The value for the experience was absolutely amazing, and I have already suggested friends to stay here! We had such a nice time, thank you!!!

Love this cozy little cabin!

This was our 2nd time staying in this adorable little cozy cabin, we love the serenity, the cave, the wildlife, the fire pit, the hot tub and that it’s close to a lot of hiking trails. We cannot wait to come back!

Perfect cabin getaway

The Russell cabin is everything we were looking for in a short getaway! Location is amazing, and the fire pit in the rock cave is awesome !
