The host was generous and communicative! We needed an early check-in due to external circumstances, and she worked extremely well with us. If you are looking for a 10/10 stay in Atlanta — this is the place. It’s adorable, spacious, and easy to get to!Despite the challenges of personal concern, the host will make sure you have a great experience. She has a great spirit and we would stay here again!

The cabin was clean and well appointed. The perfect place to relax with the flowing river, hot tub, and fire pit. The host clearly communicates ahead of time so you can prep for the stay. We are glad we chose The Roost for our get away!

We had a great stay there and great communication with the owner. If we needed anything she made sure to make it happen for us. We needed to extend our stay last minute and she made sure that was possible for us as my Dad was having surgery. Lots of room and space for people. Great location!

Stayed for new yrs, me and my husband had a good time. We didn't have to drive anywhere we walked to restaurants and bars. Place is great, neighborhood is great will definitely stay again.

Great house in a great location with everything you need and lots of space and responsive great host… only minor detail is not having garage opener and one key to get in and out so when you come and go you have to pull out of garage leave you car parked then go back in to shut the garage, and then go out the front door on the other side, lock the front door, and then walk back around to the back of the house where you car is still sitting… every time you leave… then when you come back it’s the same process reversed.

None of the bannisters are properly attached, which was a huge safety concern for me and my party. I had a disabled individual with me who needed the bannisters to walk.The spaces were also not particularly clean. There were stains and bits of detritus on some of the sheets and pull out couch mattresses, there was moldy coffee in the coffee pot which rendered it unusable, and there were crumbs and dirt under the couches. I was disappointed to pay a cleaning fee for an unclean space.Instructions noted that I should call one of two numbers to get the access code and no one answered either phone or ever called me back. Luckily I did find the code in a message the owner sent, but that was not what their instructions dictated.

This review makes me so sad, and it just shows that some cannot be satisfied. I chatted Jillian before she arrived severally and replied her many many questions immediately. She even gave me credit for prompt responses. Check in details are very precise. We use professionals and I wonder where she found crumbs. The coffee maker is brand new that we got for our last guest who stayed before Jillian for a couple of weeks out of courtesy. Not sure how a brand new coffee maker has mold. I wish we can attach pictures of before and after here. This is the first time I am hearing about the bannisters not properly attached. and a disabled guest. We have passed all our safety inspections. I recommend you use good conscience whenever giving feedback, as all your feedback is far from true. I wish you best of luck using shared properties in the future.

Short stay

The property was located in a very convenient location and there was plenty of space for our family. There was some clutter in the garage which made it difficult to pull in both cars. And a recommendation I would make to the property owner for the next renters would be to have updated towels and linens for the bathrooms as well as the kitchen as there were hardly any available. Also, I would recommend adding dishwashing detergent to be able to clean dishes and utensils after meals and for final cleanup before they leave.

Thank you Brian for your sincere recommendations. We have extra linens and towels. They are located in the second room. I wish you had asked for them. Dish washing soap was under the counter and the regular dish soap was on the sink counter.

Worn & Dated

Please take pictures of this property upon entry. You have to park in the garage which upon our arrival was lined with trash, a broken pool table, broken TV, as well as huge cardboard boxes making it difficult to pull in with a van. You have to walk down the side of the building to the front to unlock the door to open the garage. As there is no way into the garage from the back. After we parked in the garage. We walked into a 3 level townhouse with rails that were not properly secured to the wall. These rails were leading up to the second level from the garage. There is unsanded mudding around these rails. Be advised to take pictures of that. On our day of arrival there were heat advisories making the townhome 87. The windows couldn't be opened as there were no screens. As well as an inoperable ceiling fan in the living room just beyond the kitchen. There is a small dining table with a big oval light. Please take a picture of the ceiling to ensure the changing out of light fixtures isn't blamed on you. Shame on me for not taking pictures as I am now being accused of these damages. I've learned a valuable lesson! In lieu of leaving a not so positive review, that I didn't care to write. Please take pictures of everything you find wrong and send them to the owner as not to get blamed for other's wrong doing or just poor property maintenance.

I am sorry you have to leave this kind of review for me after all I did to ensure your stay was pleasant. Half of the things you said are false. Our windows are openable and the airconditioner is epic. Thankful for all our five stars that speaks volumes. The railing has been fixed and I wish you luck renting again. We can’t all be cordial, sincere and respectful, so I get it. Please read through other reviews before you take your decisions. Outside of some things that we worked out with great communication our stay was great. Check in was smooth, communication was great, area was very accessible to where we were going and within walking distance to great restaurants, and check out was a breeze! Thank you again for having us!

The apartment is large and there is plenty of room to move around. Host communicated quickly. There was however some things that made it awkward. Upon arrival we realized this apartment is situated on 3 floors. I would have like to have known that we were going to have to carry ours bags up 2 flights of stairs. Not a huge deal for us, but the hand railings weren't attached to the walls securely enough to use. Notes from host say not to put your hands on the walls, but the walls do have dirty handprints pretty much everywhere. We were given 2 bath towels for 3 people. I did ask for 1 more and was told they were in a closet. We found more sheets but not more towels. We went to target and bought an extra. One of the bathrooms had tape over the sink that said it was clogged and not to use. Host said it was fine to use. I did, but had to be very careful when washing my face as the sink drained extremely slow. Both bedrooms have very bright outdoor street lights right outside the windows. Curtains are not blackout curtains. The master bathroom shower has inadequate water pressure. We ended up all just using the one shower that had the good water pressure. The garage does fit 2 cars, BUT it is an extremely narrow garage door opening. You can't drive anything larger than a small suv. No garage door opener either so one person has to go around the building to access the home and then open the garage door. Finally, no trash bags for any of the bins.
