Hvis du leder efter ro, ro og sindsro, er det dette !! Stor flad gård, 1/4 mile af flodens facade. Stor, 3 soveværelser, 2 komplette badeværelser ved floden på 6 private acres (ca. Ft. 1.400) 1. sal køkken, opholdsstue, spiseplads, bdrm, komplet badeværelse:

Bradford Vt .-- kun 5 miles fra Rt. 91 afkørsel 15 - Dartmouth / Hannover 30 minutter væk. Første sal har køkken, spiseplads, stue stort dæk fra stuen. Med brændeovn, soveværelse og et komplet badeværelse. 2. sal har stort soveværelse med privat dæk med udsigt over floden, 3. soveværelse og 2. badeværelse. Vaskerum / bryggers er på 2. fl. Brændeovn til de kølige dage (har også gasvarme hvis nødvendigt) fuldt udstyret køkken, vaskerum.

Huset har wi-fi og direkte tv.
Kaffemaskine, mikrobølgeovn, brødrister, blender, tallerkener, sølvtøj og gryder og pander. Jeg vil have kaffe, sukker og flødeskum i huset.

Nabolaget

Huset ligger i et landdistrikt. 5 miles væk, er byen Bradford der er nogle gode restauranter, en 9-hullers golfbane, købmand og nogle interessante butikker !! Kør i film i nærheden af så meget sjov !! Vores børn havde aldrig været i en før, vi gik og satte tæpper på græsplænen, de elskede det. Is butikker også i nærheden !!

We can't say enough positive things about Susan and the property! It was everything the post says and more. Susan is very warm and attentive and ensures you are all set and have a comfortable stay. The sound of the river was so soothing and relaxing. Our dog got to enjoy water for the first time and he was in heaven! The house is perfect and full of love. We are very grateful for the opportunity to spend a great week there!!

We had a wonderful stay. The host is amazing. Great communication. We enjoyed the snacks that were left for us when we arrived. We felt completely at home. Highly recommend!!

Susan was a fabulous host providing wine, cheese, crackers, coffee/cream and blueberry muffins. We so appreciated the privacy, nature, sound of the rushing river and all the modern conveniences in this rustic home. Loved the restaurant Colavita Exit. Scenic, quiet, easy access to Lake Morey, Lake Fairlee, Barre and NH is only a few miles away.

This cabin was everything advertised and much more. Amenities to the property’s firepit on the banks of a vista n river- just delightful. The owners were most accommodating and helpful when we had a few questions. We would highly recommend this cabin in the beautiful Green Mountains of VT

Solitude and Serenity

The cabin was beautifully built and lovingly maintained as well as the landscaping. The riverside is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing escape!

Total relaxation

Cozy home with all you need to relax. Large flat lawn for playing with the pup, large firepit. Sounds of the river were soothing.

Lovely location and cabin

The cabin is a lovely location, right on a gorgeous, private river. We swam in it each day (there’s a swimming hole great for a dip), hung out on the deck, made great dinners, and seriously deeply relaxed. It was just what we needed! Thanks so much, Susan! :)

It's A Camp

It's a large camp on a river relatively well equipped, clean, comfortable, attentive owners. It could use some routine maintenance.

Everyone loved it....again!

Second time up here and just as awesome as we remembered. Nothing but wide open space for the dogs and kids to play. Far enough away for peace and quiet but close enough to get to everything if need be. Loved hanging out in the river all day, making smores at night in the fire pit, and the Fairlee Drive In Theatre. Just an absolutely great place to get away with the family. We are planning to go there a third time so that should say something!

Perfect

The river house was perfect! The sound of the babbling river rocked us to sleep. Our dog loved the privacy and freedom of the property. Bradford is a little gem in Vermont with excellent restaurants. Susan was a very responsive host! We WILL come crack soon.

Beautiful Property, Excellent Experience

We found this gem after the property we've been renting for years was unexpectedly sold 2 months before our trip. When we found this place, we thought the listing was too good to be true with relatively short notice. Not only did the property live up to the description and photos, it exceeded. We felt totally isolated, but appreciated the proximity of great hiking trails and conveniences like a Hanaford's market just a 10 minute drive away.Excellent hosts! Readily available via call or text. Helpful, but not hovering. Check-in/check-out was seamless. We will be back!

Susan is a wonderful host. The cabin was impeccably clean when we arrived. She left us welcoming gifts . Wine, cheese & crackers , delicious muffins , marshmallows . She was available to chat or answer questions throughout our entire stay. Her and her husband built this cabin themselves . I saw a picture of the frame of the cabin & asked her about it. Our dog had such a great time running in the yard , playing fetch, splashing around in the river on the property . The sound of the river is so relaxing and peaceful, I would love to come here in the summer & sleep with all the windows open . The long private driveway was perfect for us to just let our big energetic dog roam free . The property is well maintained . Exactly what a wanted in a 3 night stay.

Relaxing vacation

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the house and the owners availability to contact. Susan was very helpful with answering any questions. The River sound was so peaceful sleeping at night. Be prepared to drive to visit other locations. Wi-Fi was DSL, so we had to adapt. Not surprising because we were in the woods. Would love to go back.

Creekside comfort

The house is secluded, and the sounds of the brook are pleasant to fall asleep to. The house is well-stocked and tastefully furnished. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. My wife and I often took day trips for hiking and culinary adventures and there was plenty to choose from! Hannaford grocery is nearby. Don't miss Hatchland Farms maple ice cream and exploring the Farm Way store. As a pet-friendly property, our midsized dog enjoyed the water and deer visits at dusk.

Fantastic place by the river

What a fantastic place to spend time at! It has all the amenities including 3 bedrooms and two baths, a full kitchen, and even 2 decks to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. We spent hours next to the burbling river and enjoyed watching the topography of the rocks change with the rain. The close town of Bradford had little shops and eateries to visit and enjoy and our time flew by. Beyond the house and location, the host as great and communcated before, during and after the trip to make sure we didnt need anything. Quite honestly, there wasn't a thing that she hadn't thought of! We can't wait to visit again.

Perfect autumn getaway

The house was easy to find. Close to all the highways but once on the property you would think you are miles into the woods. The house was equipped with everything you might need and more. Our dogs loved exploring the land and streams. At night we enjoyed the fire pit and the grill. Our favorite was just listening to the streams all day. It was a good time and will definitely recommend it to anyone!

Relaxing time

We had a great time enjoying the quiet and nature of VT. The only reason for 4 stars is all the furniture could use an update. On a rainy day, stuck in the house, it was hard to get comfortable. Otherwise, it was a fun time. We saw bald eagles, a beaver, and tons of hummingbirds.

Very beautiful and private property

Susan is such a sweet host and is super responsive! The property is as described with everything you can possibly need in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a long driveway running parallel with the river and along it you can explore the swimming hole or the small waterfall by just wading in. The property was extremely dog friendly and there is first floor bedroom if steep stairs may be an issue for your dog or a guest. Overall this trip was exactly what my husband and I needed - remote/secluded with plenty of hiking opportunities to clear our minds and disconnect from the outside world.

Perfect getaway

The house was perfect for a getaway with the family. Extremely private with plenty of open space for the dog to run and the kids to ride bikes and run around all day. The house is bordered by the river on two sides making it accessible for cooling off. The house also has all the modern amenities (wifi, 2 bathrooms) which makes winding down at night much easier. Multiple reaturants and grocery store 10 min away. Only 20-30 minutes from multiple museums, nature trails and the drive in movie theatre. Owners were super great to work with. It's just an awesome place to be - we didn't want to leave!

We booked this location as part of a 2 week vacation in the VT/NH area. Coming from CA, we specifically wanted a little cabin on a river for fishing opportunities. We chose this place specifically for its location. While communication was excellent, it was NEVER mentioned to us until we were almost pulling in the driveway that the river was dry. Listing made NO mention of that either.We knew this was a cabin, which we love, and it is clearly a labor of family built love, but it is very clear that there were/are very tight budget constraints. . The property manual is in dire need of updating. So many hand written corrections that contradict the numerous post its and reminders around the house. Collection of area info contains a lot of very outdated items. So much potential to be a nice place. Location was great. A hair dryer would have been nice. Did not enjoy going out in the cool morning air with wet hair.

Great location.

The property is within a one hour drive of many attractions in the Green Mountains of VT as well the White Mountains of NH. It's also just 10 minutes away from a grocery store and restaurants in Bradford. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Susan was very attentive to our questions which was very much appreciated. The cabin is situated in a bucolic location that allowed us to relax and enjoy nature from the deck, around the fire pit, or at the swimming hole. The best memory was watching the Perseids meteor shower while sitting around the fire on the last night we were there. The only minor glitch was that the VRBO app apparently doesn't allow one to view prior messages unless there's a cell signal. We have T-Mobile and there was no signal at the cabin so I was unable to view the lock box combination when we arrived and had to drive to Bradford for a signal. That's not the owners' fault, but something that people with T-Mobile cell plans should keep in mind.

I always ask guests to call me the night before to tell me there arrival time, I had tried to contact guest that day and didn't get a response. You can put your phone on wifi calling and also get on the wifi. If they had contacted me I could have given them the wifi code :) Also, since I had just left prior to their arrival I had left the door open for them and put the key inside. If they had contacted me before they got there I could have given them that info. They drove all the way to Bradford and the door was open they could have gone in. All was good in the end :) Nice guests.

Great Experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the River House. Susan was an ideal host - communication was great and she's easily reached if needed. It's clear that she cares about the well maintained property and that you have a great time visiting it. We arrived to some thoughtful welcome gifts including yard games for the kids and all the trappings for smores. The house is very comfortable and well organized. Its not new, but is a perfect cabin by the river complete with privacy, a firepit, a great lawn, decks, and a well provisioned kitchen. The river level was quite high when we visited, so we couldn't swim, but we did manage some river walks. Saw a moose up on the hill one morning, and visited the Beetlejuice sites just up the road. Bradford is a short drive (5 miles) with a couple really nice restaurants (the Little Grille and Colatinas) and its a quick ride either down toward Hanover or over to great hiking on the NH side. Check in / check out is easy, all the linens, beds and bathrooms were clean, comfortable and neat. Though the house as no AC, it held the overnight cool inside through most of the afternoon and cools off very quickly with lots of windows and fans, so sleeping was not an issue despite the heat wave. Would definitely recommend this house for a comfortable, rustic getaway with lots to do nearby.
