Staying at the Ulysses Suites in the heart of Galena’s Historic District was an absolute dream. The location couldn't be better—everything from local museums and the tourist office to main attractions and fun activities is within easy walking distance. Plus, the host conveniently provides reserved parking spots. The building itself is gorgeous. The boutique-style entrance is a visual treat that seamlessly blends rich history with modern design. Our host, Joan, went above and beyond with delightful personal touches, including fresh macarons from Bread and Vine waiting for us, along with a complimentary voucher for more treats. We stayed in one of the suites, which was as charming as it gets. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, from the stunning wallpaper and chic decor to the softest bedding imaginable. The high-end extras truly elevated the stay—plush Parachute Cloud Cotton robes and luxurious Malin Goetz toiletries. They’ve even included a washer and dryer in the common area for extra convenience.Chic, warm, charming, and romantic, everything about this place was remarkable. It is easily one of the nicest accommodations we’ve stayed in for a long time, and I would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, Joan, for an unforgettable stay!

Beautifully appointed room, including a soaking tub. The building has two entry points; once you've checked in, we took advantage of parking in a nearby lot thanks to the Ulysses Suites management.

What a treat! This place is beautiful, luxury towels and bedding, great kitchenette with everything a person needs, and location to downtown was terrific! Ulysses Suites was a perfect spot for a solo traveler like me! Clean room, beautiful decor, very comfortable bed & pillows, and a great little balcony for morning coffee. Instructions for parking & check-in were very helpful and I had no problem getting in. The location is perfect. It's very convenient to just head down some stairs and step out onto main street! I had to message the host and received a very quick response. I will definitely stay here when I visit the area again!

Beautiful Room and Great Location!

The room is beautifully set up and decorated. The balcony is perfect for coffee and quiet time. You can access the main road from a staircase in the “back” of the building and Bench St. from the “front”. Staff is onsite and very prompt in response. Overall a perfect stay.

Absolutely as described. The property was clean, and not just the room but the guest common room as well. We seriously could not have had a better time here. The Ulysses Suites were our home base for the weekend and the location was perfect. We parked our car in one of the spaces for the suites and never went back to the car the whole weekend. Everything really was in walking distance which was a huge plus. The bath salts, coffee, and other amenities were a nice perk. My wife and I had been talking about going to Galena for years and finally decided it was time and would be the perfect place to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary. I really can’t stress enough how perfect the Ulysses Suites were. You get exactly what is advertised. It was a beautiful time filled with history, shopping, and great coffee and food! Thank you!!
