Enjoy your morning cup of coffee with the best view of the Pacific Coast! This corner unit is your home away from home. Located on beautiful Dana Point, this condo is nestled directly above Strands Beach and across the street from the Headlands Conservation Area. The South Strands Beach access is just steps away and the Headlands Open Space trailhead is right at the end of the street and offers amazing views and a nature interpretive center. The sandy beach below even has a raised walkway in the event of king tides and is protected by seasonal lifeguards. In addition we have a lovely heated pool on the common area with plenty of seating and a BBQ grill. The headlands trails also provide access to Del Prado and the downtown area with lots of great shops and restaurants. When you're ready to relax but still want to indulge in that lovely ocean breeze, head inside your retreat where carefully curated decorations adorn every room including works by local artists and historic surf & paddle memorabilia. Sit on the living room sofa or love seat while tuning into a movie on the large TV and enjoy the whitewater views. Open the doors to the private balcony and feel the radiant California sunshine kiss your skin. And reach for the binoculars to watch the surfers below or catch a glimpse of marine life offshore. The well-equipped kitchen is sun-soaked with its large window allowing ample natural light in. Cook amongst the stainless steel appliances and tiled countertops in this space before serving your culinary creations at the adjacent dining table, or alfresco on the balcony. The second bedroom features two twin beds and a wall mounted TV (for longer term guests we can convert this into an office with a sectional sleeper sofa and a desk and office chair). Before bed, soak in the tub or rinse off in the shower, then tuck under the plush linens in the bedroom, ready to dream about another day in paradise!

I have been doing short term rentals at this property since 2004. This is my latest listing and I am back to self-managing. I have dozens of reviews from past listings that were managed by a third party and am trying to have VRBO import them.

Fantastic place, it is clean, comfortable, and as advertised on here. The view is incredible, and that stretch of beach speaks for itself. The owner, Chris, was easy to communicate with and very responsive to anything we might want or need. I can’t wait to return.

Amazing Ocean views with a pool, very comfortable. Saw whales and dolphins most days, short walk to the beach and headlands. Chris was very responsive and gave us all the details we needed. I’m hesitant to post this review because I don’t want anyone else knowing about this gem. I will be back if I’m in the need again.

We had a wonderful stay at this perfect condo. Most amazing, of course, is the spectacular view. Day or night. The condo is easy to live in, and the second bathroom really helped with 4 people. The beds were really comfortable. We walked to the beach every day, and the hike at the nature preserve is a must. Chris was a delightful host in every way. Book this spot!

Amazing location and awesome time of year to visit. Access to so many beaches and the little hike right next to the unit is awesome. My 2 young kids had a great time and the view was breathtaking!

Amazing location, views, weather and waves

This property had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Dana Point. Our host Chris made the check-in/check-out process seamless and even helped us find local surfboard and paddle board rentals. We'll definitely be back!

We had the BEST time!!! The property view and location can’t be beat! My kids and I loved swimming in the pool at sunset, not sure it gets any better than that! Quick walk to the beach, too! The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed! Loved the soft blankets and comfy mattresses. Slept so well! We are definitely coming back! This was such an epic vacation. Thank you Chris for everything!

Beautiful view and ease of stay. Enjoyed our place very much, clean and plenty of room for spouse and I with two teenagers. Easy walk down to the beach entrance and nice pool on property!! Decor was nice and felt at home.

Where do I start on this review. We happened to run into Chris as we arrived to the home at Dana Point. Chris was awesome, he showed us so much and gave us terrific advice on places to visit and restaurants to try, all were terrific recommendations and we enjoyed each place we went to. The home is wonderful and fully equipped with all of the comforts of your own home. The view is priceless and having a pool steps from your door is such an added bonus. Chris checked in with us a few times during our visit so we felt like he really wanted to make sure our stay was flawless. I would highly recommend staying here and I can say that we cannot wait to get back to Dana Point!!! Thank you for everything Chris!

Beautiful Dana Point Beach Stay

Chris was a great host. Communicative and made us feel very at home. Best views! Loved waking up in the morning sipping coffee watching the waves. The condo was very well stocked and homey. Bed was very comfortable. We plan to return next year. Thanks Chris!

Our 10 year anniversary stay was beyond our greatest expectations! The view and location were both even better than the photos, we were also attending a weekend long wedding and made it to all events with absolutely no traffic hassle. The building is one of the few nestled at the very end of the street with the headlands directly across (beautiful view from the master bedroom!) so it felt private but not isolated. Because the beach access is just steps away (incredible!) there are a lot of people parking on the street and walking down the sidewalk, but it still felt like such a safe area. We loved that once you enter the private locked gate, you felt as though you were the only ones there. Just a few other condos that share the pool but every time we were out there we had it to ourselves. The entire condo was immaculately clean and so comfy. It had everything we needed, including the most beautiful sunset views I’ve ever encountered. The best part though? THE OWNER, CHRIS! What an awesome dude to talk to and hear about all of his adventures. He briefly checked in on us to see if we needed anything and we so appreciated that extra personal touch. No A/C? No problem. The giant fan in the master bedroom kept us super chilly at night to sleep so comfortably. I cannot stress enough that you should book this place immediately. It truly was the best beach experience I’ve ever encountered. We will be back 1000% and want to make this an annual thing.

Incredible Stay

Our group of four had a fantastic time at this property for a long weekend in Dana Point. Chris was a great host and provided lots of helpful information about the area. The unit is comfortable and roomy for four people and well stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect with easy access to the beach and the nearby nature preserve. The view from the pool patio area is incredible. We could've spent our whole trip there if we didn't have so much else to do. This is definitely a place we'd love to return. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Location Great Unit

We stayed here as a family of four with our two teenagers. This was a picture-perfect location set amongst beautiful views, beaches, hiking paths, and 30million dollar homes. The unit was just as described and perfect for a family of four. The pool was heated and our teenagers enjoyed it even with the cooler weather. Easy parking right in the unit driveway. The unit had anything you would need for cooking and more. Chris was very communicative and gave us great suggestions for the area. We loved the area and will be back!

Fantastic View

View from deck and pool deck where about as good as it gets. Location to beach and trail access great. Accommodations were excellent. Water pressure in the shower was just barely adequate and needs attention. Host mentioned slight odor from half bath was scheduled to be looked at. . Once the plumbing issues are resolved we will not hesitate to return Nick and Sherry F

Fabulous Views!!

The views are phenomenal!! This is absolutely one of my favorite beaches and areas in Orange County! The building has only has 4 units making it a treat. It does share the pool with the building next door (4 more units) as well as a community laundry room. But, it was very quiet and peaceful during our stay. We had a great time! The owner checked in with us upon our arrival and was available for any questions. We had a schedule change and although I know he had to move around what he had scheduled, he gladly made it happen for us. I do not know if the unit has air conditioning, but we did not need it.

The Perfect Retreat

First off, these views are incredible! The neighborhood is safe and the street ends shortly after the condo so there is no through traffic. You are steps from a paved path down to the beach and a nature trail with panoramic views from the other side. We were unsure of the temperatures and bringing our 2.5 and 5 month old we needed to make sure it was cool enough for them. Chris was amazing and brought us a window AC unit which we only needed once. He was in constant communication, the home was kid friendly (plastic plates, cups, silverware etc) and safe. There were sand toys, beach chairs, towels and even an umbrella! 10/10 will be back and we recommended this place to all our friends.

The place was exceptional and Chris was a terrific host! Beyond all the basics that were well taken care of, Chris gave us plentiful tips and recommendations including things that were happening during the time we would be there. He was gracious as far as check in and check out times and had first-rate beach equipment available for us to use. The property is uniquely spectacular in its setting perched above Strands Beach. We've stayed a number of places in the area and this was the best setting by far. We will eagerly look forward to staying again in the future!

This property is fantastic and the communication from the owner was far beyond my expectations. My wife and I have rented VRBO‘s all over the world and this owner, Chris was by far the best we’ve ever experienced. I would recommend this property to anyone for how centrally located it is to shopping, beach access, and incredible restaurants. Chris communicated quickly and professionally with every question asked and provided incredible recommendations for shopping, food, beaches… we can’t wait to come back to Dana Point and stay here again.

I was in my thirties before my first trip to California and when I visited Dana Point I knew then and there I would make it my home. I love our beaches, the incredible marine life and swimming, surfing, paddling and sailing as much as my schedule will allow. We're just close enough to LA and San Diego to enjoy a day trip and there's so many other places in the area to explore.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

The original owner of this property told me a story of when John Wayne stopped by in the late '60's and told her she had "the best view on the Pacific Coast". In over 20 years of doing vacation rentals here I have only had guests tell me the views are much better than my listing photos. Dana Point has been a center for the pioneers of surfing and the beach lifestyle for many decades. As you enter Dana Point from the freeway exit you'll pass Waterman's Plaza as you enter town where there are several statues of many of these legends. Most of my decor is ocean art and local images along with some surf & paddle memorabilia and books.
