Great Place to stay

They are under new ownership and are making some updated.. The house was fine.. cute even, but it could use some work and cleaning. The location is perfect and we would 100% stay there again. The management company was very responsive with our concerns. Location is perfect.

We used this cabin as a crafting getaway and it was perfect for our purposes. All we needed was the tiny kitchen and a couch and table pulled up to do our projects. Only complaint was it was dusty dirty! We expected the older vibes/decor, and the by-the-sea wear and tear of the building, but didn’t love the dust and dog fur. We loved the close access to the beach though and the quiet atmosphere of the grounds.

It’s cute.

The cabin is cute, it’s not fancy at all and could use renovation (which I believe they’re working on). I totally get it’s a beach cabin but the floors were so sandy when we arrived otherwise it was very clean overall. There are a lot of people that come and go from the property at night and early in the morning which was pretty sketchy and there are a TON of spiders. Every cabin is covered in spiderwebs and eggs to the point you don’t want to open the windows and my son and I woke up with a quarter sized chunky spider crawling on us in one of the beds. So if you have arachnophobia maybe don’t stay here.

Gonna point a few things out that would have made our stay at the Sportsman's cabin that may sound picky, but the following did detract from our stay in their totality. First impressions of the cabin is it is clean and nicely furnished. The leather couch with its recliner function was really comfortable. The cabin is right on the access road to the beach! Once we got in and started getting situated we noticed the missing/broken slats on some of the blinds. Turned on the tv and the picture was terrible. Tried to set the tv to a mode that gave a better picture but wasn't able to. I just think it needs to be replaced. Pots and pans were dented, bent and scraped. They need to be replaced asap. Of the three light bulbs above the bathroom mirror 2 of them were out. I just went to the general store up the road and bought a package of three and replaced them. The beds were a bit hard for us and we really like a cold room to sleep in and love lots of covers. The bedding was set up for summer. Light blanket and sheets. Has to pull the sheets off the second bed to keep warm. Had to keep the heater running which clicks on and off which was disruptive to sleep. Just a few simple detailed fixes would have made it a much better stay for us.

Ed and Andrea were great. They checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed and provided extra towels, etc. The cabin was comfortable, small shower but enough hot water to go around (important!). Our kids loved being in cabin 6 because it's right next to the park and the fire pit. We'll be back

These cabins are cute and in a central location just a block away from the beach. The cabins are old and under new management so things are in need of some repair/updating, but they were clean and had all the basics. The beds were firm but not uncomfortable. Sheets and towels were clean. The area is quiet and opening the windows to let the cool ocean breeze in at night made for restful sleep. We had some trouble with locking the door due to some settling of the cabin misaligning the lock and the hosts were very responsive and assisted us quickly.
