Welcome to `Vitalia` Perfect for families and smaller groups, Vitalia offers the ideal downtown stay close to everything Traverse City has to offer — wineries, breweries, restaurants, shops, trails, and parks are all within easy walking distance! Guests enjoy full access to the shared courtyard and private gym amenities. This bright, open-concept loft comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests.
We are Pet-friendly! Pet fee is $125.00 per stay. A maximum of 2 dogs 50 lbs each are allowed. Please let us know if you are bringing a fur friend so that we may get your pet amenities prepared for your arrival. We try our best to keep hair and allergens away, but guests with dog sensitivities should be aware. Please use our provided sofa cover and `retired` towels for your fur friends. Booking guests will be responsible for any pet damage.
Vitalia is located within the courtyard area of “The Box”, a distinctive mixed-use building on the corner of Boardman and Eighth Streets. The Box includes co-working office space on the top floor (not available to guests) and a wellness center on the lower level.
The Box originally home to the Traverse City Cigar Box Company, built in 1920, the building has been carefully renovated over the years, maintaining its historic charm and character while offering all the modern comforts of today!
This stand-alone condo, `Vitalia` sits in the shared courtyard, giving you a peaceful, private retreat with full access to the gym and courtyard amenities.
Please keep in mind there is a flight of 18 interior steps up to the condo, once in the condo all rooms are on the same level.
Please note: the building across the street is undergoing renovations, so you may see construction vehicles during your stay.
Quiet hours are observed after 10 PM — we kindly ask guests to respect our neighbors. No unauthorized parties are allowed.

The loft features 1 full bathroom with a luxurious glassed-in shower located off the bedroom area, featuring high-quality amenities, and a large closet with plenty of storage space. A washer and dryer are conveniently located in the bathroom area for guest use.

The fully equipped kitchen and dining space is perfect for small gatherings and home-cooked meals. Highlights include:

- Children’s dinnerware, utensils, and high chair
Located at the top of the entry stairs, the kitchen opens into the main living area, surrounded by large windows overlooking the courtyard and downtown. The open layout makes it easy for the cook to stay connected with the group while preparing meals!

The inviting living space is designed for comfort and relaxation, featuring:

☆☆ OUTDOOR & BUILDING SPACES☆☆
Outside, you will have full access to the building’s private courtyard (a shared space) which features a gas fire pit and grill along with several artistic touches which add to the historic vibe including a fountain and seating areas. The Well (basement level of The Box) also features a gym that is available for guest use.
☆☆ SAUNA ACCESS ☆☆
Reserve time in the Box Barrel Sauna, located in the northeast corner of the courtyard. To reserve, text the building manager (contact info provided after booking). The sauna operates remotely and must be scheduled in advance.
Rates:
• 30 minutes – $30
• 45 minutes – $45
Available daily from 8 AM to 9 PM. Payment is required prior to use.
Maximum capacity: 4 guests. Please bring your own towel.
Limited access to changing rooms and showers in the lower level of the main building is available upon request.
☆☆ PARKING ☆☆
1 designated parking spot is located behind the concrete fence, next to the Vitalia entrance. Additional free guest parking available ONLY during the weekend - East of the building in the BOX parking space.
Please Note: Security cameras in use outside of the premises.
***We manage other properties in the area. Please inquiry with us if you are coming with a lager group***
- Check-in/out: Please note during our peak season (June-September) we discourage late check-outs and early check-ins due to the tight turn-around schedules of our cleaning teams. We are happy to allow for an early check-in or late check-out if our cleaning team is able to accommodate the request and still allow the rental to be cleaned to our quality standards and specifications. All early check-ins and late check-outs will be charged a $100.00 additional fee. We are able to accommodate early check-in and late check-outs during our off season (October-May) for a reduced fee of $50.00, please contact us for further information.
- Longer stays: Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as the fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.
- Security deposit: Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $250 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days within check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Your privacy and security are paramount, and all card information is handled confidentially.
- Cancellations: Please check the cancellation policy on your booking platform. Please note that even if you are eligible for a full refund, a credit card processing fee will be deducted.

Child Safety: Parents must not leave children unsupervised and are fully responsible for their safety at all times.
Safety & Energy Saving: Please close the windows and lock the door when leaving the premises.
Report any damages and/or breakages immediately.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Smoking or burning candles are not allowed inside the home. No eating or drinking in bedrooms.
Please do not wear shoes inside the house. Please turn off any electronics when you leave the house.
Visitors & Noise: No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 4 people. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Third parties are not welcome, and the place is for guests only. Quiet time after 10 p.m. Please refrain from making noises past 10 p.m. to respect our neighbors. NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.
Pets: Only dogs are permitted in the house. Please declare your pets to us ahead of checking in and settle any pet related fees. Pet fees are $125 up to 2 pets. Please clean up after your fur friends and use the provided retired towels to clean your dogs. Please do not let your dogs venture into the neighbor’s yards during their walks.
Housekeeping: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will be happy to help arrange additional cleaning during your stay for a fee. If you run out of clean linens (sheets/pillow cases) and towels etc., you are welcome to use the laundry facility to replenish them. PLEASE do not wipe any food, oils, or lotions on the linens. Please use the kitchen towels (paper or cloths) for their intended purposes.
We provide black make-up towels and cotton pads for removing makeup. If our other towels are stained or bleached during your stay, we will charge a $15 replacement fee for each towel.
