Welcome, this is our Farm House. There’s plenty of room for the whole family to gather, relax, and adventure with comfy rooms, a spacious kitchen, and open dining room. Relax in private- sip coffee on the shady back porch, cozy up next to the bonfire, or soak in the hot tub under the stars. Wander the meadow trails, small orchard, lavender patch, or hike up to the bench on the hill to relax at sunset. Close to town with a Northern Michigan country setting.
This beautifully rustic updated farmhouse built in 1896 features 4 upstairs bedrooms, a small balcony off the master bedroom upstairs, a living room, entry way room, kitchen, dining room, and an enclosed sunroom that can be converted into a sleeping area by using the pullout couch. There are two full bathrooms -the upstairs bathroom is spacious and the downstairs bathroom is smaller. There is a shaded back porch filled with seating that overlooks the back of the property.
PRIVATE AREA (your space)
The house and large fenced-in yard is your private 2 acre area to enjoy. 10 steps off the back porch is a fire pit, just past the fire pit is a hot tub nestled under the cedar branches on the deck of the game room cabin. Inside the game room cabin you'll find a foosball table, air hockey, magnetic darts, and a cozy fireplace. There is a wooden playground from our kiddos to yours with a slide and swing set. The large fenced in yard is perfect for playing yard games, throwing ball, or playing tag.
FARM AREA (common space)
You also have a few options for exploring outside the private fence area. The adjacent 8 acres is the farm portion of our land where you may find us planting, harvesting, and tinkering. We invite you onto the farm side of the property to walk and explore freely.
We have a small orchard and lavender patch you are welcome to pick, cut and bundle from.
If you continue through the apple orchard and follow the cut trail up the short steep hill, at the very tippy top we have a rustic blue heart two-seater bench. We highly recommend a bottle of your favorite libation here at sunset. It’s a great spot to overlook the farm space and take a beautiful sunset.
The barn was built the same year in 1896. Some of the floorboards are a wobbly so we ask that you do not go in, as we cannot guarantee its safety.
The farmhouse is located near the road and you will hear traffic passing by.
Being in a rural area, you may hear neighbours target shooting. Country Life.
The property is also home to animals and insects -porcupine, racoon, coyote, deer and more.
