Relax with the family at our condo in Destin Florida. We are located at the end of Holiday Isle, close to restaurants, shopping, beaches and a short water taxi ride to Harbor Walk. Next door is the newly updated to Noriego Point with 4 swimming coves and a beautiful boardwalk. Our large balcony has a beautiful view of Destin harbor. We provide beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys and more. Amenities include beachfront seasonally heated pool, hot tub, fitness room and grill area. Come enjoy beautiful sunsets, dolphin sightings and white sand beaches. Welcome to Salty Air Retreat!

We had a great trip! The condo was wonderful. The pool was closed for the week, so that would have made it a little better. The communication with the owners was excellent and she took care of us on the pool being closed.

Everything was so dang clean and cozy! I had an impression that the place may be small but it was actually huge and the balcony was so big and awesome! Plenty of towels, they had beach stuff to use, coolers (which was great because we flew in). the pool was great, the hot tub was hot. We were steps away from the water and saw plenty of fish and a sea turtle in the water. We were able to walk out of the condo and over to the water taxi area to catch dinner at boshamps. I will also say, it was nice to not have a ton of crazy clean up instructions. We just tried to tidy up the way that made most sense if it were our own home. Check in was easy peasy, host was always communicating quick. Parking was easy. We will def be back

Our stay was nice. We did have a 5 hour power outage on Friday morning but we were able to get up and enjoy an early breakfast at The Donut Hole beating the crowd!

We booked a Destin condo at The Salty Air Retreat. When we booked, the condo's description stated that it has a "beachfront view. This is very misleading because it has only a view of the harbor with a large retaining wall with no access to the water. The property is NOT “beachfront”. There is a “swim area” that is about a 6-minute walk from the condo, and it is a public swim area located in the harbor. It is a nice area to watch the boats and maybe for fishing too. But we were there for the white sandy beaches and white cap waves. I have noticed that the description has changed on Vrbo since we booked this condo and complained about the location description. We left this condo early and booked a condo "The Gulf of Destin" just down the road, and it had the beachfront that we were expecting. We stayed at The Salty Air Retreat for 2 1/2 days and contacted the host to let her know that we were leaving early. The condo located at The Salty Air Retreat was clean and the description was accurate regarding the unit/room. Parking was very convenient and close to our unit. The condo itself is very nice, but we just preferred a beach access, not a public swim area. I feel that the host should provide a partial refund for the misleading description that has now been updated as a harbor view. She has not responded to our request.

I was sorry to hear that this location did not meet your expectations. If you look at the listing name, multiple photos, the map and my description under "About this property" you will see that I referenced the beach next door for swimming. We do have a lovely beach in front of our property for walking and sunning but like all properties on East Pass, it has a sea wall in front. Sorry for your confusion.

Great location, about 5-6 min walk through Noerrigo Point parking lot/boardwalk down to the beach. The host was pretty responsive to communication. The key pad for the door gave us issues the duration of the stay. She had someone check the battery, and it was ok. No matter how fast or slow we entered the code, it would start flashing and reject the numbers after the third number. It was typically a minimum of several tries and several minutes to enter the room. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to getting it to unlock. It’s definitely not my first time using that type of lock, so I am unsure what the issue was. There is a super cute/cozy patio area with lighting and heaters outside of the pool gate. There is a perfect spot for sunset photos outside the pool area as well.

Excellent Host!

The Condo was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay! The Host went above and beyond to help me and ensure my stay from the very beginning was stress free! They answered every question I had and fixed issues I had with the VRBO reservation process. If you want to be close to swimming coves in a lovely location I recommend this condo!

Quiet Retreat and Relaxation

This condo is exactly as described. It is in a quiet location, close to the beach and water, but away from the hustle and bustle. The place had everything we needed and all we had to do is relax and enjoy our time on vacation. We will be back!

salty air retreat is worth it

The condo was clean with easy access in & out as well as to the pool and the beach. The check-in and check-out process was easy. The King bed was super nice.

Great Stay in Destin

This property was perfect for us (married couple, traveling with our best friends (also a married couple) as there were 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The condo had everything we needed including coffee maker, paper towels, dish soap, and some beach chairs and umbrellas as an added bonus. The host was easy to get in touch with and provided clear instructions.

Perfect Location!

Perfect location for our family! The condo was just like the pictures, it was very cozy, quiet and accommodating for our family. We enjoyed the oversized patio in the mornings and evenings, I loved having the view of the harbor on one side and the jetty’s on the other. The coves were so wonderful!! We saw sea turtles, fish, crabs! The view from the pool was perfect as well, very relaxing. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great stay and location

We came down to Destin for the first time and it did not disappoint. The condo was perfect and the outside patio was huge. We enjoyed outside as much as inside. The location was quiet and out of the main hustle but also not far away from anything. The pool had nice views of the east pass and sunsets. The condo was clean and comfortable. We will be booking again.

very nice building with pool and grills, keep track of your access codes needed for parking and other areas, our condo had comfy beds and chairs well equipped kitchen, really nice large patio two good beach umbrellas

We were thrilled to find a condo in this area. We LOVE this hidden gem in Destin. Lisa was beyond wonderful to communicate with. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a seamless vacation. The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed, plus everything we needed for a family with kids on beach. This condo is close to everything in Destin, yet its location on the island makes it feel very private and quaint. There was some construction going on at Norriego Point which worried me at first, but I worried for no reason. We still got to enjoy walks on the beach when construction wasn’t going on. Then we quickly fell in LOVE with Osteen Beach which was equal distance the opposite direction. The beach had crystal clear water and we enjoyed walking the jetty’s! So don’t let the construction stop you! I can’t recommend the condo enough. We cannot wait to come back!!!

Vacay May 10-May 16

The condo was nice and also clean. Which was good. And the owner was pretty responsive. But, there was construction going on right next door on the condo tower It was loud and started around 7:00 am. So besides waking us up it wasn’t a nice view from the balcony. The city is also working on the beach and there are fences up all over. It wasn’t a nice typical beach trip to the gulf because of this.

Sorry about the construction that was going on next door. They are not supposed to start early and it was to have been done by your check in date. Glad you liked the condo though and give us another visit. It really is a beautiful spot.
