Your family will be comfortable at this townhouse style 2 story “condo” designed with neighbors to either side (can't hear) but no one above or below. Space is set up for a family of 4 but can accommodate a family with young children up to 6 with notice. It is located in the westward facing building (no “lake view”) of Harborview Condominiums next to Lake Michigan. The unit is a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath 1200 sqft 2 story condo on a basement with built in 2 car garage. Full size washer and dryer on the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are located.
You will have access to the whole location. The basement is not finished but provides extra space to hang out and where games are located.

Very friendly and relaxing area. I enjoy sitting on rocks at the lake watching the sun rise drinking my tea and walking the beach looking for beach glass. Everything is walking distance including beach, playgrounds, food, shopping, museums, art studios. There is always something to do and activities and events for all interests including history and museums (4 historic districts & 5 museums), arts & entertainment( hands-on studios including jewelry, pottery, acting, and art & dance workshops), to outdoor recreation for every season (golf, hike, bike, ski, fish, skate) and events such as Harbor Market every Saturday during summer, outdoor concerts, Outta Sight Kite Flight festival, and Bristol Renaissance Faire. Also close to Great Lakes Naval Station, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Six Flags, Great Wolf Lodge, Gurnee Mill Mall, Wilmot Mountain, Lake Geneva, Chicago and Milwaukee.
Great area to walk and bike as a lot is within 1 mile. Good public transportation system with train access between downtown Chicago and Milwaukee. Bus transportation within city and bus depot is less than 15 minute walk from condo. The condo has a garage for car.
If a family has more than 4 members with young children, there are accommodations for additional children with trundle beds under the twin beds making sleeping availability for up to 6.
Pets will be considered on an individual basis and additional deposit required.
Garage does not fit larger vehicles such as extended trucks, Suburban, Yukon XL but additional parking is available in the harbor area outside the fence.
There is a gradual slope to the floors that can be felt throughout but most noticeably in the second bedroom upstairs.
Lake Michigan may be seen and heard from the 2nd bedroom where the work space is located when the window is open depending on season & wave conditions. Very peaceful!!
No vaping/smoking in the garage or on the balcony.
Trash must be bagged and tied shut, no loose trash in the bin. Pickup is Monday morning and the bin(s) will need to be taken out and brought back in.
Dogs are only allowed with prior approval as there are some restrictions. Cats may be considered for extended stays with prior approval. Additional fees & deposits may be applied.
All guests need to be included on the reservation or notify of changes.
