Nestled on a private property overlooking Southern Island and the enchanting Eel Grass Cove in Tenants Harbor, this classic Maine home offers stunning panoramic ocean views and the perfect escape for creating lifelong memories. Perfect for larger groups or families, but also ideal for a weekend getaway in the spring or fall.

Welcome to Chimerique, where whimsical meets wonderful. Surrounded by towering pines, this serene retreat provides the privacy you crave in beautiful Midcoast Maine. Relax on the expansive decks that stretch across the length of the house, soaking in breathtaking harbor vistas and the soothing sounds of gentle waves. It's the ideal setting for al fresco dining with family and friends.

A natural path leads to the shoreline, where you can launch a kayak or take a refreshing swim in the cool Maine waters, perfect for adventurous spirits. Step inside to find a luxurious primary suite with an ensuite bathroom and jacuzzi tub, conveniently located on the first floor along with additional bedrooms for easy access. The well-stocked kitchen, outfitted with stainless steel appliances, is ready for larger groups and memorable meals, while the formal dining area provides an inviting space for gathering. Mornings are magical here; sip your coffee at the breakfast table as the sunrise lights up the harbor.

Just beyond the kitchen, a small laundry room leads to a cozy sunken living room with ample seating for everyone to unwind. There is also a formal dining area for shared meals and memories. Down the hall, you'll find a guest bathroom, two comfortable bedrooms, and a shared full bath. Upstairs, a spacious semi-divided bunk room accommodates 4–6 guests and includes its own ensuite bathroom.

Beautiful Home and Memorable Time Together

We were two families vacationing together. Ten adults. We had a great time. We have rented many beautiful homes in Maine before but this was the first one where all the pictures portrayed the home exactly as it is. We were very relieved to find that. The rooms were spacious and had amazing views. The house was fully stocked with supplies. The kitchen and grill were great for our lobster cook-out and other meals. We also loved the location. It was a great spot to walk the dogs and hang out by the water. The only disappointment was not being able to use the kayaks we rented because there isn't a clear launch point. The large rocks made it inaccessible and there isn't a dock. Next time, we will rent bikes instead! Thank you. We plan to return!

Paradise

This place was the most serene and peaceful vacation house we have ever had. The location and view are exceptional. The furniture and decor is unparalleled. We wanted to move in. It is beautiful inside and out. Accommodated our large party so comfortably. The pics on the website do not do it justice. We plan to come back every year. Absolute paradise and perfection.

The home is stunning and exactly as advertised, with incredible ocean views and a peaceful, remote setting that made it easy to truly relax. Being right on the water was a highlight, and the house itself is charming, comfortable, and well laid out.There are two things future guests should be aware of. The electrical system in the kitchen is a bit sensitive, and using all the lights at once sometimes caused the power to trip, requiring a reset at the breaker. Also, the water has a strong sulfur smell (similar to rotten eggs), likely due to the well/septic system, which was noticeable when using sinks and showers.Aside from these points, we really enjoyed our stay and would still recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet oceanfront getaway.

The house was so comfortable, very clean, great layout, amazing views, well equipped kitchen. The deck was just perfect for meals, lounging , relaxing etc. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! The views are breathtakingly beautiful! It is so private too. the little path to the rocky beach is great and the are flat rocks that are great for hanging outand fit beach chairs. Access to the water is a little slippery, but it's doable. We rented kayaks and it worked well. it was so fun kayaking around the little islands! We all love the location of tenants harbor with being so close to Port Clyde and their cute cafes and eateries. Also Rockland is not far and also Thomaston - both offer great bakeries and eateries too. We would go back in a heart beat! And dealing with Tides to Pines was pleasant - super responsive and helpful! We have rented in Maine many times, and this house is now one of our favorites !

Wonderful comfortable beds and high end bathrooms. Enormous rear deck to spend time relaxing. Private setting with lovely grounds to explore in addition to the rocky shoreline. This home was such a pleasure. We felt silly that there were only four of us! So glad i chose to spend a bit more for location, privacy and amenities. Kitchen has ample appliances and cookware, tons of dishes. Had rare opportunity to meet the owner and it was a pleasure hearing stories of artwork and furniture in the home. Spotless interior and such a private setting. Never wanted to leave the grounds! Will definitely return. Watching the small boats going in and out of harbor, seeing the sunrises, listening to loons, pup getting to run in the yard, soaking in the jacuzzi tub, cuddling on cozy couch, i could go on and on! Short drive to wonderful Rockland for numerous amenities.
