Beautiful home. The driveway was a bit scary because it's steep, but we had a 4x4, so it was easy. The host communicated promptly. A lovely place to relax.

It was a clean, well maintained cabin. It had extras you don’t often see. The towels were very thick. There were coffee pods and snacks. The area was very private and quiet. The hot tub was a nice way to recover from our beautiful hikes. We definitely will stay there again if we return to the area. The only thing we had to adjust was the living area and the bedrooms had plug in air fresheners. We are very sensitive to some smells. We just unplugged them and set them outside while we were there. That solved our issue.

A beautiful property in an ideal location for RRG activities.Perhaps one of the cleanest rentals I have ever stayed in. One slight negative is that we could have used a few more kitchen towels and wash rags.

The cabin was everything it was presented to be and the privacy is exactly what the hubby and I needed. The touch of the ready available snacks was great to grab heading out the door to go hiking. Believe the comments about having an SUV to get up the road and in the driveway. They are steep!!! Our rental car was a small KIA and anything but dry conditions, we would not have gotten up the road to the cabin nor all the way in the driveway. Though we did laugh hysterically each time we came in and had to punch the gas to make the climbs. We grilled, used the hot tub every night and the fire pit. We enjoyed the property and the area so much, we never turned the TV on.

Carrie, thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re so glad Appalachian Lookout provided the peaceful, private getaway you and your husband were looking for, and it sounds like you made great use of the hot tub, grill, fire pit, and nearby hiking! We also appreciate you sharing your experience with the drive. For future guests, the neighborhood is accessed by a well-maintained gravel road with a few inclines as it loops around toward Appalachian Lookout. There is one steeper section, but it is relatively short. Guests who are comfortable and confident driving on gravel roads should have no problem reaching the cabin, though we always recommend taking your time and being mindful of changing weather and road conditions. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we truly appreciate you choosing RRG Getaways. We hope to welcome you both back for another unforgettable getaway in the Red River Gorge!

Excellent property. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Loved the small extras. The games, coffee bar, snackies, and the baby toothpaste. (Sooo cute.) We cook and were thrilled with how equipped the kitchen was, and the pantry space to store. Great front porch nice, felt private with a table. We enjoyed watching the rain, or just sitting quietly reading. Also enjoyed the fire pit with the Adirondack chairs. Bathroom clean, shower nice with good water pressure. Beds comfy and happy to have a ceiling fan. Very happy with this property already looking for dates to come back. Thank you. Denise

The cabin was beautiful inside and out! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook with. The coffee, tea, and snacks was such a nice touch. The cabin was secluded with no neighbors right on top or next to you. We were truly surrounded by woods. The cabin really felt like home and we didn’t want to leave! Thank you for a great stay, we will be back!
