The dancing bear welcomes you to our beautiful, fully restored, 1800’s farmhouse on 5 acres of woods and a large grass yard. The property is located on a flat country road about 10 minutes from downtown Windham. Located in the picturesque Maplecrest hamlet of Windham -- a perfect setting for friends and families to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the the Catskill mountains or to set out on fun-filled adventures.

The historic home is set on a slope looking out towards CD Lane park, with beautiful views of the lake and picturesque valley.

- 5 bedrooms: 3 rooms with queen bed each, 1 room with day-bed and trundle, 1 bunk room.
- Family room – wide screen smart TV, wood-burning fireplace and games for adults and kids
- Eat-in kitchen (sits 8-10) -- stainless steel high-end appliances and farmhouse sink
- Dining room (sits 10) with upright piano
- 1st floor powder room

- 2 steps down to extended deck and 7-person hot tub with picturesque views. Maybe you see one of our resident bald eagles soaring above.

Downtown Windham is just 10 minutes away with great restaurants, shops, a movie theater, a pharmacy, and country food markets. Larger grocery stores located ~20 minutes away.

Activities
Spring and Summer – Stroll down and across the wooden walking bridge to CD Lane recreation area to enjoy swimming, boating, fishing or leisurely walks around the lake. The park has a swimming beach, children’s playground, kayaks/paddle boats to rent in summer (no motorboats on lake), beach volleyball, frisbee golf and basketball court.

Fall – a perfect base to enjoy the fall colors. Take a leisurely walk around the lake surrounded by the awe-inspiring valley or go ¼ mile up the road to the access point of NY State marked hiking trails for all levels.

Winter – Located 6 miles to Windham Mountain Ski Resort (associated to Icon pass) and 7 miles to Hunter (Epic pass) where you can ski/snowboard or go tubing .
