Great long weekend stay!

Loved the property, has everything you need including fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, great water pressure, and walkable to the beach. Despite the delay in communication for check in instructions, will definitely stay again!

Wonderful home to stay in at Night Heron. Open and airy. We loved the decor and Lost in Space theme through out. We will book again. Dogs loved it too.

Great place for a get away

Loved being able to walk the dogs on the beach. The house was as listed, no issues at all.

Nature by the beach!

Great 2 bdrm 2 bath in a wonderful private setting. Walk to the beach and community swimming pool. We saw several deer each morning from the screened in patio within a couple feet. It was great!

We enjoyed our visit at Night Heron and will definitely return! The house was super clean and had everything we needed. We especially loved watching the deer from the screened porch in the morning. All communication with host was excellent. We loved the quiet neighborhood with easy walk to the beach, pool and access to the bike trails.

Wonderful location

The house is in a great location. Very easy walk to the beach, and the paths inside Sea Pines are beautiful. It's right inside the back gate of Sea Pines, so it's easy to get into the shopping area of HHI.The house is old and needs some updating, but the bathrooms and kitchen were clean and the bedding was also clean. There is very little storage space, which would not be a problem for a one week stay, but we rented for the entire month of Feb and felt crowded.

Parking with only one space is tough. Trash pick up came only once . Location good . Overall , nice place and easy bike ride to beach .

Great Property Close to Beach and Conveniently Located Close to Ocean Gate

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is very tastefully furnished (not your typical nautical fare of many properties) and, while pretty small, the screened in patio makes it seem larger and is a great place to sit in the morning and evening and not get bitten by bugs. We love that the owners are dog fans and our dog quite enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch as well. It’s a short walk to the beach and its location near the Sea Pines Ocean Gate makes it quite convenient to get groceries, etc. We’ve stayed in South Beach a number of times and it’s an almost twenty minute drive to do the same. Would definitely stay again.

The property was just as listed, spotless clean, excellent communication with Property owner. The transaction was seamless. We have stayed on Night Heron for the past 15 yrs, our 1st visit to this property, it tucked away toward the end of the street, the view is spectacular. 2 beautiful porches on the back, one screened off the LR, the other an open off the master BDRM. Due to the extreme heat, the open porch area was perfect to relax , get some sun w/o leaving. A top choice, we will be looking forward to additional stays !

Great retreat

Walking in the house was amazing. Parking was a bit tight for a big truck but easy. Would have liked to have a few more grill utensils but we made due. Only real complaint I had and is no reflection on the home was that the pool on the property was not maintained well. Lots of debris from nature always in the pool and the trash not removed and overflowing for days.

I have stayed here before but very disappointed with host lack of communication. The fire alarm mistakenly started going off at 2 am and would not stop. You needed a tool to turn it off and I did not bring my tool box on vacation. The sound was unbearable and drove my dogs crazy! I had no choice but call the fire dept to assist. I immediately communicated what occurred to the owners but no one ever responded , replaced the smoke alarm or looked into what was the issue. I know houses have issues but just an apology or reference of what an inconvenience this was would have been appreciated.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the fire alarm sounding during your stay, especially in the middle of the night. We certainly understand how stressful and disruptive that must have been for both you and your dogs. We were first made aware of the situation through resort security after the fire department had already been contacted, and we apologize if our follow-up communication did not meet expectations. We did stop by the home the following day to ensure there was no ongoing safety issue, but no one was at the property at the time. Since the alarm had stopped and we were unable to coordinate access during your stay, we did not want to further disrupt your vacation. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and have since addressed the issue with the alarm system. We are glad you chose to stay with us again and truly value your feedback as we continually work to improve our guest experience.
