Perfect family weekend

Stayed here for my child’s graduation weekend. Enough room for everyone and great location. Loved the nearby walking trail!

Beautiful home, great location!

The house was immaculate and with space for everyone to be together and to do our own thing. Restaurants, shops, and many fun places for activities are all very nearby. Loved our stay!

Very comfortable accomodations

Thanks for allowing us to stay at this rental house over the Christmas holiday. We were all very comfortable, the house had everything that we needed. The location was perfect, and allowed us to easily visit our family living in Northampton, Hatfield and Amherst.

Great holidays!

Wonderful, updated and well-stocked kitchen and IMMENSE refrigerator helped with making four mammoth feasts in a row for family, with grandkids and pooches underfoot. Terrific location, beautifully appointed house, and Colleen could not possibly be more responsive. Thanks for having us!!!

Perfect house in a perfect location!

Thank you Colleen for your lovely house. It was just wonderful and I was able to bring my dog Rosie who loved the rail trail. I will definitely be contacting you in the future when I need to visit family out in Northampton again.

Perfect place for a UMass reunion

Small split foyer remodeled to feel spacious and roomy. Everything you could need for a short term rental - from deodorant and shampoo, to sugar and spices. We had a great time!!

Great location

Great location ! The house was spacious and clean. The host was great with communication and answering any questions we had in a timely manner. Only down side was the beds were not the greatest. Besides that, highly recommend if you need a place in that area.

Great place for groups!

Spent 2 nights as a teacher with 7 students, and another chaperone to attend the Big E with FFA kids. Plenty of room, as kids don’t mind sharing, or sleeping on a pull out couch. Everything was very clean, and the property manager was very responsive and helpful. They even left some goodies for the kids! Would recommend!

Great stay

Our extended family of five adults had a great week-long stay. The property was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. AC worked great as it was a hot week, and beds were very comfortable. The host was very responsive to a small issue that was resolved. The two bedrooms downstairs are a little dark, FYI. Nice neighborhood.

Great stay! Reminiscent 10 year Amherst College Reunion Weekend! Highly Recommend!

Thanks Colleen for a great stay! We came into town with a group of 10 friends from College. Everything at the house was ready for our stay and stocked up. The home and grounds are very clean. The location is perfect for a visit to the college, just up the street, and set in a lovely neighborhood. Highly recommend this home to others visiting the area!

Effortless and comfortable stay! Owner provides everything you need.

The atmosphere and vibe in this home is relaxation and comfort. The furniture and furnishings are newer. The location is better than we expected. Quiet yet close to the sights in the area. Colleen is very quick with responses and recommendations. Everything is professionally run and maintained, everything you have become accustomed to in a high quality vacation rental. We recommend to others and plan to stay here again.

Cozy Time with Friends

The house was clean and well appointed, with thoughtful touches like single-use laundry soap packets. We wanted for nothing. Checkout procedures were clear and unobtrusive. The neighborhood was quiet, and located well in the heart of Pioneer Valley. Northampton, Amherst, The Notch, Deerfield and the upper valley are all just a hop and a skip away. For someone looking for a clean, well-lighted place from which to base their daily adventures, this home is everything they could want and more.

A great place to stay with family and friends.

I stayed at Colleen's place with my mom, my childhood friend, her mom and her daughter. We all enjoyed the lovely deck, playing cards around the kitchen table, chatting in the comfortable living room and being able to cook and heat up food in the kitchen. The amenities are exactly what we needed for a fun, relaxed, getaway weekend. One of the best parts about this home is its proximity to easy groceries, and the lovely towns of Amherst and Northampton. They are all close so errands can be as fast or slow as your group wants. Additionally, we loved walking down to the Rail Trail for walks and imagined returning with our bikes. We all highly recommend this location!

great family wedding stay

My daughter was married at Look Park and we stayed here with our other adult kids and their spouses - 7 in total. Location was very convenient to Northampton. Owner did a great job taking what I'd describe as a typical mid-sized suburban split-level house and redoing the floors, the kitchen, the bathrooms and the deck and making it into a very nice rental. Having a kitchen, dining room and a living room for a group is so great, and we also saved $s compared to 4 separate hotels rooms each night - so a win on all counts. Owner was very communicative - it's clear she runs this as a business and not a hobby - which I see as a very big positive. Also, a long rail trail passes by about 100 yards away- very helpful for the morning runners in my family. Definitely recommend.

Amazing Pioneer Valley stay

The house was perfectly clean. The location was amazing. Communication with the homeowner was extremely easy with a quick response, whenever I had a question. The keyless check in process was extremely easy to use. The local neighborhood and natural family run farms were absolutely amazing too. It was well worth having a large home as opposed to staying in a hotel. Plenty of room. All paper goods and kitchen cooking/ necessities, seasonings, etc available. Colleen emailed me local maps, which gave me help learning how to get around. The very close, Norwottuck Rail Trail, was perfect to walk on every morning, and I highly recommend renting/bringing your bikes. Wonderful Stay!

The home is a serene experience!!! I'm so upset that we were there for a tournament!!

We were there for a tournament that didn't allow us to turkey experience all this home offered. We wanted for nothing! From pulling up to its beautiful landscaping to its private deck were I enjoyed my coffee! You had it stocked with everything we could have dreamed of and for that we can't thank you though. The beds were so comfortable and the couches too!! The home is in the perfect location. Close to the University in town Thank you again for allowing us to focus on the reason why we were there! Next time I'm coming back to enjoy your home without any plans!

Location & clean/well appointed home = Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this home. It is very convenient to everything in the Pioneer Valley and greater area. Short drive/walk to many shops and restaurants. Property is large and worked well for our group with the kitchen well outfitted. The backyard is spacious and we had plenty of room for parking in the driveway. The property is expertly maintained and detailed instructions on the execution of all property amenities provided. We had a touch of snow during our stay which the owners removed, shoveled and sanded for right away. The booking and payment process was very organized and succinct with Colleen (property owner). She also utilizes the contact medium that is best for you whether it is phone call, email or text to get you a quick reply to a question. We will definitely consider this property again when we come back to Amherst and recommend to others as well.

Serenity in UMass??? YOU BETCHA!!!!

Hi Colleen, I can't thank you enough for making our trip so comfortable! We were in the area for a lacrosse tournament and saw great reviews about your property! I'll admit..we didn't want to leave your home once we arrived! It was spacious for all of us- the lay out was just perfect. There was nothing we could have wanted or needed, YOU thought of it all! The home was also immaculate! I didn't get the feeling of needing to put on my "hotel" flip flops. The area was quiet and tranquil ...my coffee mornings lasted a bit longer on that deck due to its peacefulness!! Your restaurant suggestions were a hit! The Italian one being a favorite! So thank you for making a UMass summer lacrosse tournament into a small relaxing vacation for us all!

Great location

This property is in a great location, the home was clean, and the host was very responsive. While we enjoyed our stay overall, we did find the cleaning list required for checkout to be excessive given the high cleaning and additional guest fees ($600 for two nights, with overall fees costing more than 40% of the total). Additionally, requirements to provide an electronic copy of my license, containing a photo and sensitive personal information, as well as the full names of all guests raised privacy and data storage concerns for me and my group. I and others in our group had previously stayed in many short-term rentals and had not been asked for these items, or to sign a separate lease. Once checked in, we requested to have two friends visit for a few hours (not overnight); while the host kindly approved, we were also required to provide their full names and address as well.

Colleen moved to the Pioneer Valley to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst over 20 years ago and fell in love with the 'Happy Valley'. It's eclectic fusion of culture, personalities, exploration and natural beauty connected me to the sense of place that is the Valley. There is always something happening and places to explore that you can never be bored no matter what the time of year. Colleen worked at Mt. Holyoke College, UMass Amherst and Westfield State University where she commuted from this home. 'Country Side' which is in a fabulous neighborhood within close proximity to all the colleges in the area.

Centrally located and close to public transportation while at the same time in a rural, lush and green landscape with views of the abutting farm land, red tobacco barns and open space that I fell in love with when I first came to the area. Proximity to the Norwottuck Rail Trail makes it so easy to take your bike to stores or even Quarters a local bar/ eatery right off the Bike path.

Plenty of parking, Large home, close to shopping/ stores, bike path and the PVTA bus stop is right at the end of the street! UMass, Amherst College, Hampshire College, Smith College and Mt. Holyoke College easily accessible by bus ride, car ride or even bike ride! Close to the Williston Northampton School, Deerfield Academy , Northfield Mount Hermon, The Bement School and Eaglebrook. All just a short car ride. The homes large yard, 4 bedrooms / 2 full baths and very comfortable back deck make enjoying this home so easy!!
