Hello! We are Kevin & Stefanie Jones. 4 years ago, we exchanged vows right here on this very river property, & it has since become our cherished home away from home. This place holds a special spot in our hearts, & we love spending time here with our family.
We have 4 wonderful children: Haylee (21), Sydney (19), Kai (16), and Levi (12). Kai and Levi are our little adventurers, always eager to throw a pole in the water & catch a variety of fish & crawdads. Haylee & Sydney prefer a friendly game of cornhole or watching a movie on the outdoor TV. When the weather is at its best, usually in August, we all love to float the river in rafts & inner tubes. We start near Stewart’s Meats in McKenna & float all the way down to our place, a journey that takes about 2 1/2 hours. It's a relatively calm trip, though there are a few whitewater spots, so we always make sure everyone is wearing a life jacket.
Cooking is a big part of our time here, & we eat more than usual because we have so much fun with all the cooking stuff: the Traeger, the BBQ, the Blackstone, & even the popcorn machine.
We have two dogs: Neema, a chiweenie, & Stella, a pit bull. They love it here just as much as we do. They’re well-behaved & don’t wander off, so we don’t need a fence. If they had wandering tendencies, we’d keep them on a leash or leave them at home. Stella has just grown out of her puppy chewing phase, during which we lost a couple of footstools & about 100 pairs of shoes. Thankfully, she didn’t chew on anything more important!
We're new to hosting on VRBO; It never occurred to us to share this beautiful place with people we hadn't met yet, but we love meeting new people & believe that lifelong friendships can develop from these connections. We treat our guests like friends & family, & want you to feel that this is your place as much as it is ours. Make yourself at home, & don't hesitate to ask any questions. We’re here to help.
