Smuk træhytte lige på stranden! Nyd spektakulære solopgange og solnedgange lige på vandet. Har din morgenkaffe med dine tæer på sandet og den smukke udsigt over Vieques og Luis Peña øerne! Huset sidder lige ved siden af ​​Marine Biological Reserve. Den bedste snorkling i Culebra lige ved din hoveddør! Kun ca. 10 minutters gang fra byen!

Aircondition. Det har 2 værelser med queen size senge, 1 værelse med 2 dbl køjesenge. Nice L formede balkon ovenpå med udsigt over stranden. Køkkenet og badeværelset er placeret nedenunder langs en åben / luftig terrasse hvor du kan lounge på de mange hængekøjer til rådighed for at snooze eftermiddagen væk !.

To dusjer til rådighed (1 varmt vand, 1 udendørs bruser). Sommerhuset leveres med sengetøj, almindelige håndklæder (undskyld ingen badehåndklæder!), køkkenudstyr, mikro, blender, iskiste, liggestole på stranden, hængekøjer. 2 dobbel ocean kajakker og 1 paddleboard er til rådighed til leje efter anmodning. Ejeren vil være mere end glad for at modtage og byde dig velkommen til sit hus og for at gøre dit ophold til en uforglemmelig! Vi ved, du vil være tilbage til vores smukke skjulte getaway !!!

Lovely place only a few steps from the ocean. I loved having my coffee there each morning. The owner and check in process was top notch. The place was very clean with a few friends walking around to greet you! The chickens! lol.

Tulio’s house was absolutely perfect. The hammock lounging, beach access and proximity to town made our stay very enjoyable. The house had everything we needed for a week in Culebra and Tulio was a great host.

This rental is for nature lovers! Beautiful beach and snorkeling area out your front door. My favorite part was cooking meals in the open air kitchen with the sound of waves to keep you company. Our host had spot-on recommendations…listen to them:)

We had the best family vacation! The location was magical. Waking up and falling asleep to the waves was a dream. Great sea glass hunting and the snorkeling was like being in an aquarium.

Location is fantastic, can't beat waking up to the sound of the waves and relaxing in the hammocks at night. Wonderful snorkeling on secluded beach, comfy beds, all the basic needs, and host is fantastic. We would definitely stay here again, a special place!

The location and the private beach were incredible. Very private and the outdoor kitchen/living area was very pleasant to use -- wonderful place to hang out. It's a special place. The only thing to be aware of is that you must go on outside stairs to reach the one bathroom from the bedrooms, so it might not work for all groups.

We were so pleased… no ecstatic as we pull up to the property! THIS is what we were looking for on our vacation! The house was like a tropical retreat. The rooms were clean and after the A/C was turned on it was very pleasant but who cares about rooms when we had an amazing beach in our backyard! We loved relaxing in the hammocks, it was one of our favorite places to hang out if not playing in the water, snorkeling, shell and sea glass collecting or soaking in the sun on “our” beach! We loved the kitchen area, it was clean and ready for us to enjoy! The bar window made it easy to set up for making drinks and foods! My biggest concern was that to access the restroom I would have to go outside and downstairs for my middle of the night bathroom break! Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I was a bit nervous about 4 adults and only one bathroom but it worked out. Tulio our host was very accommodating and also easy to get ahold of via text when we were checking in. He stopped by and we had a great chat on one of our last full days there, great guy! Our overall… positive! Enjoyed every minute of our stay! Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Amazing stop on our honeymoon!

Beautiful stay

This is the second time we've come to stay at this property, the location right by the beach is wonderful & the outdoor kitchen/hammock space makes it where you never really have to hang out inside (unless you want to). Home is secluded enough for privacy but still a few minutes walk from food, grocery, rentals, etc. Would recommend!

We wanted to like this place so much. Having the water right there is wonderful. We definitely found that this space was not super clean. Used bar of dial soap in bathroom for hand soap, air conditioners had a build up of dust, wicker best frame had lots of dust on the top. The biggest issue was on our first night out of 4 people 2 of us started reacting to the inside and that's when we looked further and found mold. Mold on the back of the blinds, some spots on the front, the white bunk bed had mold spots covering the back bottom portion, above all the light fixtures that didn't actually have lights in them. I reached out to the host who is very responsive first thing in the morning. We couldn't stay. We didn't come on vacation to not feel well. He denied this was true and basically told me it was false allegations. Then offered to come look at it after the second night. Coming in and cleaning mold with all of our belongings would further spread spores contaminating our things. We asked for a refund and he refused. He claims this is organic black dust from the debris, brackish lagoon and the dark colored sand produced by decomposition of flora. There is a big difference between mold and dust. We notified VRBO and I hope they do an investigation and the correct precautions are taken. The host was also very helpful until this and then just remained in denial. This could be a really great place but it was just unfortunately unsafe for our family.

Great location.

This property was located a very short walk from Culebra’s best snorkeling spot. Great views and great outdoor seating. The owner was great about communicating and happy to share local knowledge!

Wish we could have stayed longer !

What an amazing location, private beach, close to everything but still feel secluded. You can hear the waves while rocking on the hammocks. Very relaxing, clean with adequate space. And our daily visit from a tall bird lol

A great beach house with snorkeling

We loved the location and eclectic cottage at Melones Beach! As advertised, short walk to one of the best snorkeling spots on the island and 10 minute stroll into town. Host was responsive and helpful and had clear, informative instructions about the property!

Comfortable for 5 adults

We loved the open air living and the hammocks. It was lovely to take our coffee down to the water to look out over the ocean in the mornings.

Awesome Place!

Everything about our stay at the yellow house was great. It's exactly as described. If you want a very private, relaxed and authentic experience while on Culebra this is the place.

Tulio is a very attentive and personable host. We really enjoyed our stay at the Yellow House, having morning coffee on our own beachfront, with a view of the boats and across to Vieques. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. We snorkeled right out front as well as just down the road, so close. The access to get in and out of the water was convenient and fairly easy to accomplish. The house is in a great area, near the town but it feels very private and isolated. Being so low, the dirt road did flood when we got a couple days of heavy rain, but Tulio was right on it, and worked on getting things back to normal quickly. We were glad to have rented a Jeep. Bring bug spray (being so close to the water does have a tradeoff!) I would certainly recommend the Yellow House for a family vacation. Very peaceful, just what we needed!

Walk to town and Melones Beach

The cabin is rustic but comfortable. The snorkeling at nearby Melones Beach is really spectacular. In the evenings we closed up the upstairs and turned on the air conditioners to keep the bugs out.

I grew up in San Juan but spent all of my Summers, X-mas breaks, Easter vacations, and holiday weekends living in Culebra with my grandparents and family. Joined the USNavy for 5 years at the age of 19. I graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans and after 12 years of living in the US mainland returned to PR. I have three beautiful children.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

My family has lived in Culebra since 1886. Back then, Culebra was pretty much developed as an agricultural project by the Spanish Crown. My great great grandfather came over from Spain and became owner of some land, bought some more, and the rest is history. Sardinera beach II (Melones we call it!) has been owned and loved by my family and friends forever. Come share it with us for a while!

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

From the moment you disembark or fly into the island you will fall in love with it. It's hard to describe but, if you ask anyone that has been to Culebra and they will tell you. The moment you get off the main road into the access road you will feel transported into a different world. Pass the tunnel of acacia trees and at the end you will see the yellow house sitting in the sunshine. A nice open area downstairs filled with brightly colored hammocks invites you in! But what really catches you eye and ears is the view and the sound of the ocean right in front of you. Lots of trees run along the beachfront. They provide a nice shade for when the Caribbean sun gets a little too frisky. Pass the trees and on the edge of the water, you'll see the island of Vieques in the distance. The small waves that run along the top of the reef in front of the house come towards you to die at your feet! If it's late in the afternoon you can just have a seat on the sand and enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see! Make sure you have a 'sundowner' in hand. Want to eat out? Town is just a 8 min walk away. Want to snorkel in the Biological Reserve? Walk 20 steps into the water,
swim to the right, and you are there! Want to go to world famous Flamenco beach, Soni beach, Tamarindo, Carlos Rosario? Take the public transport or better yet, rent a golf cart or 4x4 and go exploring. Want to go to Tortuga beach in the island of Culebrita, or Luis Peña? Want to go diving? We'll arranged it for you! Come on down and enjoy!
