Enjoyed our stay here. Good location and very comfortable house, except bring your own pillow unless you like a very really firm pillow. I do recommend this property.

Just a wonderful house. Centrally located! Just wish the rain/ice storm didn’t happen. Galveston has changed so much since 2009 and would have wanted to walk around more! (But that is so out of anyone’s control!)

Seastar BRM review

This was a wonderful place to stay. All our necessities were there. A very clean lodging with a wonderful location. It's close enough to the beach if you want to walk but far enough away to keep the noise at a minimal. All of us enjoyed it very much.

Great house close to the Seawall

Stayed with family. Nice house. Plenty of space to hangout and eat. Beds were comfy enough. Would’ve liked some basic spices in the cupboard, even just salt and pepper. The kitchen was well appointed with implements and dishes. Really enjoyed our stay there.

In the description byVtrips, it is described as a four bedroom. The fourth bed is actually at the top of a stairwell with no privacy. The AC is not able to keep up with the heat on the upper bedroom floor. Also, the thermostat is connected via Wi-Fi and controlled remotely. It was 80 at night when we tried to sleep and it was unbearable. The thermostat kept reverting to 76. We contacted the host and asked for help. After the second attempt a representative came and explained that the thermostat is indeed controlled remotely. The downstairs level was comfortable, but the upstairs two beds were not usable because of the heat. This made it difficult for our party of eight. I did not ask for a full refund, but only some consideration because the upstairs were not usable. The host,Vtrips/Ryson offered a 25 refund but only if I agreed not to list a review. I refused the refund just so you could all be informed. Be cautious about renting this home in the heat of summer. if I am able to post photographs like I am able to on Google reviews, I will. Both issues are documented with photographs.

Roaches

When we walked in we found dead cockroaches. Then when my teenage daughter opened the sofa bed she found half a joint of Marijuana. The landlords kept putting the ac up to 76-78 when made the upstairs loft 90 degrees. It is a very nice place and nice area but the idea that we found a joint and dead roaches shows that the place is not cleaned properly. The fact that the thermostat was changed while we were paying to stay there did not make us feel welcomed.
