You see the magnificent blue ocean no matter where you turn in the backyard. Lounge seating around the pool is perfect for enjoying the San Diego sun. As the sun goes down, you can watch the surfers at the surf break right off the cliff. A BBQ and outdoor dining furniture help make this backyard the epitome of southern California outdoor living! An additional full bathroom is outdoors by the pool for added convenience.
The gorgeous ocean floods your vision from the moment you step inside the house. Floor-to-ceiling windows invite you in and provide a fantastic amount of natural light. The skylights give you the illusion that you are already outside as you step through the door. Kick your feet up and relax in the multiple living and seating areas downstairs. Modern and comfortable couches and chairs make the living room a cozy place to enjoy your company. The well-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is open to the main living and dining areas. Enjoy the ocean breezes and beautiful views as you cook a meal for your family and friends! With the ocean as your backdrop, you can comfortably seat up to 20 people. A 60-inch TV above the tables will add a little entertainment to the meal!
The primary bedroom upstairs has floor-to-ceiling windows and a sliding glass door leading you to a balcony overlooking the ocean. Wake up to the smell of the sea while you drink your morning coffee and enjoy the 70-inch TV, a seating area facing the view, and an en suite bathroom with a separate shower and tub.
There are 4 bedrooms on the second floor, 5 bedrooms on the main floor and one bedroom below the pool area that doubles as a game room.
The main floor shared bathroom has recently been redone with a walk-in shower. The ocean front queen bathroom has also been redone with a walk-in shower for easy access.

The house and property were perfect and exactly as described. Our group had a great weekend and enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and unbeatable views. Could not have asked for a better stay!!

Beautiful house. Could have been better maintained (little things - sliders very difficult to pull, bathroom faucet handles turn 360deg so you have to find “off,” etc). But those are nits. Honestly a gorgeous property, beautiful views, and an excellent pool area to congregate around. This place is awesome and I’d highly recommend it. It is exactly like the pictures. Lots of space for big groups. 5-10mins from La Jolla if you want to get out a bit. Nice beach in walking distance.

The views are just incredible! Our group spent most of the week perched on the deck or in the pool, soaking up the sunshine and views. The property managers were very responsive to all of our requests, which we greatly appreciated.

Lovely property and beautiful views. It is a bit dated but that does not interfere with the overall experience of staying there. There are a couple of items that could be improved. The downstairs Twin bedroom was really tiny and had no electricity when we got there. I think that was fixed and we didn’t need the room after all. One of my kids thought the area near the pool was pretty slippery so we put towels down to walk on. The pool was great and we had lots of pool toys for the children. We had a wonderful experience in memory of my husband, kids and grandchildren too. He would have wanted us to have fun and we did

Beautiful location
The view and location is 5 star plus. The bedrooms are fine and a bit run down and 3 star. Agent was great and the kitchen is well equipped. Overall a great rental for large groups.

Awesome House!
This house is great! Stunning view of the ocean, lots of great outdoor seating. Loved the fire pit at night. Lots of bedroom options, kitchen was spacious and well equipped. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Epic Views and Stay!
If you need a break from life's hustle, this is the place to be! Waking up to the view from this space was just incredible and allowed for the perfect backdrop for our retreat! If we find ourselves back in La Jolla, this will be our spot!

Colleen and Ocean Sands Property Mgmt were superb in all aspects. The home's location, views, indoor-outdoor living and pool was really spectacular. Our family of 15 had a wonderful get-together/reunion. There are plenty of rooms/beds, beach towels, and a stocked kitchen with 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers, and 2 ovens. Highly recommend for families with people of all ages. The view and indoor-outdoor fire pits make up for any minor issues you may encounter. Thank you for the great time!

Great house for a large group
Beautiful view. Pool, hot tub, grill, appliances were all easy to use and in good working order. Check in process was good and everyone was very easy to deal with. Highly recommend this house

Beautiful Views
We take an annual work Christmas trip for our entire staff with spouses, normally to the east coast or the Bahamas, but this year we went west, and it did not disappoint. The property manager was very attentive, great communication. The place was beautiful, and worked well for us.

Wonderful View
The property management company was amazing and very helpful. The house is a bit run-down with lots of marks on the walls, some broken fixtures, etc. but the view and the outside pool area is fantastic.

Graduation Weekend!
We had the very best time staying at this home in La Jolla for our daughter's college graduation! The view was absolutely incredible and the host was really responsive when we had a couple of questions. She also allowed us a later check out so we could enjoy a Mother's Day brunch before heading to the airport. Plenty of space for our group! Would love to stay at this home again!

Corporate Retreat
Absolutely lovely stay with an unbeatable view. The common space was enough to host 20 people easily during the day. The swimming pool was large and the view is even more beautiful than shown in the pictures. After I made my booking, the host almost immediately called me to ask me about the trip and set up a meet and greet.

We stayed at Ocean Sands for a week to celebrate a wedding in the family. We had 16 adults and the house was perfect! It is definitely worn and tired in spaces but it truly did not matter. Everything was clean, the location was spectacular, beach access was so simple, communication with the property manager was excellent, house sleeps everyone well, great layout for large group, pool and hot tub were a big hit along with the fireplaces. If we were in the area, we would definitely look to rent this place again!

Most memorable retreat!
Hosted my For His Glory CEO Inner Circle Retreat here with 10 incredible faith driven Business women and it was divine! I live locally and this is one of my favorite spots so to find an ocean front house that fit us all
was a dream. Colleen was amazing to work with and made sure we had everything we needed! Will be back!!

Large Family Vacation
Overall, we had a great time at this property. The deck and pool with ocean view are amazing. The property management team provided some specific cooking supplies we needed based on some information we provided during early communication which was very nice and appreciated. We did have some issues with the air conditioning the first couple of days, but the property management team was always very responsive and worked to fix the problem. I would say that there are some features of the home that could use some updating given this is a premium rental.

The pool is great
The pool is the highlight of this property. The AC was not working when we arrived. It was 87 degrees in the house. We had to stay at a hotel the 1st night - the property manager refunded some of our 1st nights stay. The AC units were "repaired" the 2nd day. However, the AC units are old and need replaced (per the HVAC tech) and cannot keep the main living area cool - where you spend alot of time. There are 2 floor registers in the huge living area/kitchen area. The inside needs some TLC - a coat of paint (marks/dirt on alot of the walls), rusted & damaged floor registers, large spider webs on the undersides of the pool chairs, bird poop on the glass deck rail and pool decking. Unless the AC issue is addressed, can't say I'd recommend staying here in the summer months.

The pool is definitely a showstopper for sure! Our local team immediately provided Kathleen with accommodations to ensure her and her family were comfortable. The owner has made upgrades to the AC system by adding mini splits as well as 2 large ceiling fans in the main room. We know this will enhance the guest experience during all times of the year, but especially summer! New photos added October 2024!
