We have been a VRBO host for years but this is the first guest that had these concerns. As a VRBO host we trust our guests and want them to have a good time. Our home offers endless views, high end amenities, large home with pool/Jacuzzi, fire pits, full size volleyball court on a resort secluded on five acres. The Palacio Estate is a multimillion dollar home. This guest complimented us and mentioned how they enjoyed all of those qualities our estate offers and stayed 8 days. For the first time since it was built that we or guests have ever seen a mouse. We stayed at the house two weeks before this guest and saw no evidence of mice. Regardless, the guests received a FULL refund and enjoyed the home for 8 days. In fact she graciously raved about how wonderful the house was beyond her expectations at checkin. Additionally, we made an exception and allowed her pet too. We even provided a free cleaning during her stay. Her husband was very nice and complimented us on the home. We did not force this guest to stay if there were mice in this home and we were not obligated to have her as our guests once she received a refund but she would not leave the house then stayed there for 8 days and should of left earlier. Yet she chose to have multiple groups stay at the house without our knowledge. Our housekeeper and maintenance informed us of multiple cars coming and going. Guest told us she had a wonderful vacation at checkout. Of course it’s a beautiful house and she received a refund of approximately $11,000-why would she be anything but happy! Our maintenance man was there every day working outside but they did not ask him about anything. We regret to say that Heather is our first guest that we would not allow or recommend (or anyone like her) to be a guest at The Palacio or any vacation home.

All of our 14 other guests wrote excellent reviews and enjoyed their stay. We would of hoped the same for you as our guest. The Décor' of the home is from the owner's world travels including the solid brass pots that you mention which are now repaired were due to normal wear and tear. I just stayed at the house over Thanksgiving weekend and the paint looked great! There are so many other features and amenities that you could of enjoyed this Beautiful Estate has to offer had you taken full advantage. Our guests have fully enjoyed the ambience of the home having wrote wonderful reviews. We always accommodate every guest that stays at The Pointe Palacio with our 24 hour availability and personal host check-in. The pictures on our website show matching curtains/comforters Our home was built in 1980 with recently painted interior walls (recent appraisal) and thoroughly cleaned prior to every guest arrival. We offer additional maid service to our guest. There is no other vacation home that has more then The Pointe Palacio Estate. The Pointe Palacio Estate shows fabulous character along with the history of The Pointe Resort built and owned by the legendary Pointe and Gosnell Builders.
