Downtown Sarasota, Casa de Zara

Welcome to Casa de Zara! Immerse yourself in Sarasota history by staying in our quaint Adobe style home built in 1925 with a serene garden filled with plants and trees native to Florida. You will be 1 mile from Main St. and 4 miles to Lido Key. One block over you will find a fun filled park with tennis and pickle ball courts, a walking path and basketball courts. Less than a mile away is Bayfront Park which is perfect for watching sunsets!


Our home was built in 1925 and is an adobe-style home. With our concrete walls and 10 foot ceilings, the home is very light and airy and stays cool with the warmer climate. We also have several seating areas outside to take in the serene garden that is full of exotic plants native to Florida!

Here you can take advantage of 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. You have one bedroom that is set up with a king size bed and the other with a queen size bed. Off of the living room, you will find our lounge area that has a queen size pull-out bed. You can find backup linens in the bedroom closets and backup towels in the half bath.

The kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. There are many grocery stores nearby, Publix being the closest!

This was a beautiful property to be in. The hosts were so sweet and hospitable. Everything you need is there and it’s easily accessible to the shops and village. We will definitely come back and stay again!

Charming 1920’s Spanish style home. Very conveniently located for the shops and restaurants.Short walk to a park for the dogs and just a little further to Sarasota Bay. Backyard fenced in which was perfect for our dogs. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Sarasota

Casa de Zara was the best place and location we were there our 16 year old son soccer games. Such a great place inside and out, my wife I read each morning on the front porch, breakfast altogether with the sliding door open to the side patio, and a glass of wine in the back patio to end the day. Great location to downtown and the gulf we’ll definitely be back for couples getaway. Thank you so much Casa de Zara.

We stayed at Casa de Zara as we needed a place to stay for a couple of nights whilst we travelled down from Orlando to get married on Coquina beach. Even though we live in the UK the process of booking was easy, and the property itself was beautiful, incredibly clean with the host being very approachable and professional. Would highly recommend a stay here, the views in Sarasota are out of this world and Casa de Zara vibes perfectly with the area.

My favorite VRBO of all I have visited. Unique decor, beautiful yard and outdoor sitting areas. Had everything you could ever need in the home. Great location for shops and restaurants. Pet friendly. Perfect getaway

We loved this property so much! The twinkle lights in the backyard, all the birds and butterflies. So peaceful. The home was so cozy and the beds so comfortable. Perfect location too! The home had everything you needed for a perfect weekend getaway!

Quick weekend getaway for family birthday party

We loved our stay in this beautiful house. Clean inviting and it had all the amenities we needed plus a nice quiet backyard for relaxing and reading. The pictures don’t do it justice! Close to downtown, beaches and several museums. Host Faith was wonderful to work with and we would definitely stay here again!

Super nice stay!

The pictures really don't do it justice! The gardens are beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside. The inside of the house is beautifully decorated as well. Parks nearby for walking the dog. Close to downtown and trendy restaurants. Had a wonderful time!

This house is appointed to please. So many Details for a travel or guest! From the kitchen to the bathrooms and Laundry. Dog friendly fencing and 4 outdoor spaces to choose from, our stay was easy. Close enough to walk to parks and groceries we recommend you stay at CadadeZara

What an adorable house! We were in town for a wedding at the Ringling Museum and we wanted to find somewhere where our pup would be comfortable and this was perfect! The house has so much character (which feels rare for a rental property nowadays) and it’s pretty centrally located. We quickly found out everything was no more than an 8 minute drive. We were also able to walk to Project Coffee with our pup, which was great. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. If you are bringing a dog, I’d just recommend bringing paw wipes since the backyard doesn’t have much grass so paws can get dirty. That said, I would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Sarasota!
