We're sorry that you elected to park in our lawn to accommodate your large group, damaging the irrigation system, which required accessing your damage deposit. We have over fifty- 5 star reviews for our property over various sites, and we constantly strive to make each stay an exceptional experience for all. Honesty is always appreciated, and you were not at the time of booking. It's unfortunate negative reviews are allowed when circumstances like this occur.

Wow, how completely inaccurate. When I received a phone call from someone in the group, 3 days prior to arrival, asking to cancel, this was my response: Kerry, Someone in your group contacted me concerning the tropical storm on the east coast. Right now, it appears it will be significantly away from the west coast, specifically Anna Maria. No alerts or warnings have been issued. Since our house will be vacant tomorrow after 3 PM, I offered to allow everyone to check in 1 day early with no additional charges. Right now, the house is empty after your Sunday departure, until 11/17. If you need or want to extend your stay, we can discuss, if the dates are still available. The storm looks like it will move even farther east, possibly off the east coast of Florida by tomorrow. I think your trip will be fine, although possibly wet Thursday. ...and you leave us a negative review after you actually arrived on the day scheduled? Not a fair review!

Suzan, Both the Master and Guest bedrooms have Queen Size mattresses, and coincidently, the Master was brand new ahead of your stay. We do have two separate twins in the second Guest bedroom. Did you mean to that room? It's all advertised correctly. We also prefer the lanai screened above. Thanks for your 5-Star Review, and visit us again!

We appreciate all the great things you said about the house and the area. We love Anna Maria Island and the close proximity of the house to all that makes the island special. We work very hard to ensure our property provides the best experience for our guests. Kingfish Boat Ramp is the best place to launch a boat, and Cross Point Fellowship, directly across the canal from the property will always allow parking, when more than two cars are parked at Sunshine Cottage. It's surprising our offer to park on our lawn resulted in our only 3 star review. We're also sorry the weather made your boating experience on the island less than desirable, and the fact the pool heater is not turned on in the Summer. Please feel free to find another reasonably priced property on the canal system the next time you visit Anna Maria. An I also installed large 8" dock cleats, so now you can tie up to the piles or the cleats.

We try extremely hard to make our house feel like a beach cottage escape, and we hope you come back to stay at our house!
