Hello Erika, We absolutely agree on one thing: this home is beautiful, and we’re sorry that your stay didn’t live up to your expectations as it certainly does not deserve your negative review. We didn’t confirm your late check-out because it wasn’t approved. The cleaning crew specifically asked that guests leave at 10am so they could prepare the home before their scheduled vacation. When you were still in the house at noon, it disrupted their entire day. It's unfortunate that you assumed you could check out whenever you pleased without confirmation. You knew how to contact us as you no issue reaching us regarding personal matters, like emailing or calling our emergency lines about disposing of your child’s diapers after hours. Any anxiety you felt from our call asking why you were still in the house at noon—two hours past check-out—was a result of not following the standard check-out time. The way you argued with us over the phone that day doesn’t quite align with the version of events you described in your review. To future guests: Don’t let one person’s disregard for the rules deter you. We’re always happy to host respectful guests who follow our policies so everyone can have a great experience at this exquisite property. - Grand Mountain Rentals
